"The agent was very sweet and mannerly, but I had some difficulty communicating with her. As it turned out, I received the last item I ordered yesterday, and it’s the wrong color. I tried to fill out the online return request tonight, and it said my order number was not correct. I verified that it was correct, but it wouldn’t allow me to continue. Now what?! Also, when I initially tried to phone in the order, your phone system was not working correctly. I requested a certain store, but no one answered (during working hours), and there was no opportunity to leave my name and number. I called back twice and selected the option to place an order. Both times I received a message that my call was being transferred and then nothing happened. I called back later and finally got through. The entire experience has been very unprofessional and disappointing. Now I’m stuck with having to deal with the incorrect item. This is certainly not what I expected from you."

"Its disgusting that you can't even call customer service without speaking to a foreign arrogant representative of such a prestigious company as Talbots. These reps barely speak English, are rude and do not understand or help. Very frustrating! They have no idea what a Talbots even is! It ruins your reputation as a high end store, to drag customers through the mire! One foreign lady in a thick accent told me to ACT PROFESSIONAL!!! She was not doing her job and was angry at me for telling her to do it!"

"I was at the Frontenac, MO store on Monday, May 29, 2023. A customer service representative was helping a customer. There was another customer service representative behind the counter folding clothes. After waiting a few minutes, I asked the rep helping a customer if the other rep could help me. She said yes, so then the other rep started helping me. When the first rep saw me standing there, she should have asked her colleague to help me. The second rep should have been aware that there was a customer waiting to be helped and occasionally turn her head to see if there were any other customers needing assistance. When she starting helping me, there was no - “How can I help you and I’m sorry you were kept waiting (while she was just folding clothes).” Not a customer friendly atmosphere. The first rep helped me later with my orders and was very helpful."

"I was contacted about an online order and that it was put on hold . I called the 800 number to inform the representative that I had NOT placed any order. I DO NOT have a Talbots CC and that this was a fraudulent transaction. I am ver gratfule that Talbots followed thier procedures and questioned this transction. Thank you for stopping fraud for both you and me."

"I order all my essentials from Talbots, but for the last five years the white T-shirts have been just too thin, and this was again true with the crotcheted V-neck Tee. This was also true a few years back with the second season of the split neck Tee. The crew neck white Tee is the only T-shirt that I feel confident to order in that it is thicker than the others. I wish this were not so because I would like something to wear other than the crew neck. Please do not charge me a restocking fee as the shirt, to me, was defective. It would have truly been lewd had I worn it out in public. It was that thin."

"Operator INSISTED on five form of identification just to tell me if my order (and I had the order number) had shipped. That is a lot to type and WAY more than any other site requires. Talbots does make everything difficult so I shop elsewhere when I can. Splitting orders into many pieces so you can take advantage of your store inventory is smart inventory management but it really difficult for the customer. Lots of packages, different delivery dates, hard to keep track of all the pieces and even more difficult to chase after a piece when it does not appear on a timely basis. You could at least do a better job of tracking info on your original email so the pieces could be monitored online EASILY."
