"The phone associate was knowledgeable, professional and efficient. Talbots needs to improve its product quality and selection/color palette. Shoes are also a problem with the cheap materials used. I have written about this often but do not see improvements. Since I began writing this, maybe 10-15 years ago, I have transitioned some of my purchases to other retailers. Once upon a time, I purchased most of my annual clothing and accessories from Talbots."

"your store is no longer in Stockton and that makes it very difficult to shop at Talbots-only online-as I no longer drive. I try to keep my bill very current and By returning sent for items immediately the billing process does not keep my charges current. I still love to shop at Talbots!"

Racism

"Today I want to Talbots in Williamsville, New York on Main Street. There was a cashier at the counter and another cashier standing on the other side of the counter. I wasn’t greeted or asked may I help you.l, which is the norm for Talbots & small boutiques. But that’s was fine. However! I began to shop and collect at least seven items in my hand. In the entire store there was three ladies, two Caucasian ladies & myself, an African American. The three of us was in the same area shopping. woman. One of the cashiers came to the back and offered each Caucasian woman a dressing room to be set up so they could try on their clothes. She made two trips where we were to take their items and put them in their dressing rooms. The cashier came back to ask the Caucasian lady that was standing at a rack next to where I was, “will you like me to take the other item you have in your hand?” I was (African American woman) still holding my ay least seven items in my hand. SO I THOUGHT, well maybe she’s going to come back so I walked around and walked around BUT SHE DIDNT RETURN to get my items to start my dressing room AS SHE DID THE TWO CAUCASIAN LADIES! At this point, I’m very offended, humiliated and embarrassed. NO return of the cashier to get my items so I walked even closer to the counter where the two ladies were conversIng, but still no service for the African. I waited and waited and the lady never came to help me or EVEN ASK IF SHE COULD! If this isn’t RACISM L, the it don’t exist, BUT WE KNOW IT DOES!! I went to the counter and said hello and as the lady said hello! I asked if could have one of their business cards? She said yes and she looked around to find the business card & she asked me is there a problem is everything OK? And I said no but that’s ok! She said well, “well what’s going on, maybe I could help, what’s the problem.” I explain to her what happened with the other cashier that ignored. As I was explaining the other cashier (the cashier that displayed racism) walked up and “what’s going on?” I never got the business card because she never handed it to me! So I just ended the humiliation and said. thank you have a good day! I will be writing a review about Talbots. I left the store so upset because I’ve shopped in other Talbots. However, this Talbots is in my neighborhood & I’ve shopped here before. So, if you are a person of color, you might want to rethink this Talbots location, and hopefully this behavior isn’t across the board. .

disappointed in new sizing

"I just received an order for 2 pairs of pants, both size 10 which I have ordered for years. The Chatham pant was perfect but the new slim fit ankle jeans were like leggings! And yet I just bought a pair this winter that were perfect, and no, I haven't gained weight! I didn't realize I couldn't exchange or return either. So disappointed because I have always loved Talbots jeans and have no idea what to do in the future."

"Did not receive total order. Missing one item. Received replacement order today and the item is not as ordered during phone call or as original order. Now I need to call again and be on hold and then 20Minutes more to resolve this. In all my years as a loyal Talbot’s customer I have never had this type of issue. Not happy."
