"I needed two enterprise class hard drives quickly and needed them sent overnight with saturday delivery, a total of over $900. Unfortunately PC mall was the only place I found that both had the items in stock and had saturday delivery available for shipping. I placed the order online early in the day Friday and selected saturday delivery for shipping, my credit card was charged, and I awaited the drives the day after. Saturday rolls around, and I receive only 1 drive. I check my order again which shows I ordered 2 drives. I call the 24/7 available phone service that PC Malls touts, only to find it is a French holiday and no one is available. On Monday I call to find out why I did not receive my full shipment and was told my order did not go through early enough, which is funny because one drive was able to make it just fine. I was then told that they had to ship one drive from one warehouse and another drive from another warehouse. The other warehouse must have not received the order in time and could not send for saturday delivery. I asked about a credit for shipping, which I received a measly $8 credit. I then asked for a tracking number for the remaining drive, which they could not provide. I was guaranteed arrival of the part on that Monday, but it did not arrive until Tuesday. When it arrived I opened the box to find that the hard drive sent was not the same model as the other one I had received.

I then contacted to have the appropriate model sent to me in place of the wrong one. I was told I would receive a call back on what they could do for me. A few hours later, no phone call, but a new charge on my credit card!! Not only was the charge unauthorized, but it was also for $32 more than the original price and $31 shipping tacked on!! I immediately called PC Mall and received no response. I then contacted my credit card company and reported the fraudulant charges. The credit card company by mistake then cancelled my entire credit card and reported it lost/stolen (which is an account of good standing for many years on my credit, and will drastically hurt my credit score), but that's a whole other story now.

Now I've got no way to receive a refund back onto my credit card for the purchases I made through PC Mall (as well as many other retailers, as we use the credit card for resale purchases), and I will lose a $15000 sale.

Bottom line is horrible service, unnacceptable response, incomptent shipping, broken guarantee's, inadequate reimbursement, lack of quality control on parts received, and in general nothing but a hassle.

"I have deleted my original lengthy complaint from this place because I no longer find it necessary to draw people away from this company.

QUICK SUMMARY:
Complaint was about an order for a 400gb hard drive that was placed on 10-31-05. Order was cancelled without reason and a $25 gift card was promised. Long story short, that never arrived either and multiple attempts to contact them seemed to get me no where. However I didn't give up.

It took a long time (couple months) but my persistence finally paid off and they took care of me. In fact they went wayyy overboard on how they did it (sent me a really nice expensive item at no cost). I'm not sure if this belongs in pcmall or macmall because I have been dealing with both on my issue. They've gained a future customer.

"KEEP OFF PC MALL. Placed order yesterday and had my card charged immediately with a comfirmation letter. Today they cancelled my orders (two order) stating there was a mistake in price on their website. ALL WITHOUT EVEN AN EMAIL NOTICE and paid money is still not refunded. They don't care about their integrity or reputation. It should be them instead of me paying for THEIR MISTAKE. NEVER BOUGHT AND WON'T FROM PC MALL"

"To say I am not impressed with PC Mall is quite an understatement.

I placed an order on November 1st for item 601209 and that it would ship next business day upon which I would receive it in a week with ground shipping.

I checked your site and it now shows the same item at almost five times what I ordered it for just 1 day latter and that it is in stock. I called this evening and was told my order could not be found, actuall that is all I was told, not even an attempt to get it re-ordered for me or find out what happened (Poor customer service!!)!

The only thing I can preclude is either you did not want to honor my order as you had a wrong price listed when I ordered it or that you do not stand behind your products, service or price (And I am stunned wondering what you did with my card number??). This is either fraud or incompetance with the people you have taking orders.

I knew it appeared too good to be true!!

"Ordered Tamrac 5684 camera bag on Tuesday AM with free ground shipping. It shipped the same day and was at my house by Thursday PM. I decided it was too big and called to return it. Return authorization was quick and easy. 15% restocking fee was fair. I would buy from them again."

"Orderd on jan 28th, they couldnt ship untile feb 14th. Rebate place wants to use the order date of jan 28th and not the date my credit card was billed so they dont have to pay me the $50.00 rebate as it was over 14 days of my submitting the rebate. After the second call to Pc mall and having to be put on hold again the last time for 47 minutes i hung up. i will never buy from them again. customer service dosent exist AFTER THE SECOND E-MAIL I FINALLY GOT THEM TO CREDIT MY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT THE 50.00. REBATE I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET. THANK YOU PC MALL"

"I'm a trainer/consultant in the graphic arts industry. I've been buying from PCMall/MacMall for probably 10 years. I've never had any problem: their prices are often a bit less than their competitors'. On the latest order, I ordered after midnight on a Tuesday (so, technically, Wed. AM), and received my order on Thursday. No problem with order. I will definitely order from them. I suppose people don't usually feel compelled to post reviews unless they're disappointed, so I thought it might be good to counteract what I consider to be unfairly negative assessments of a good vendor!"

"*Caution* These people seem to be the worst kind of E-tailers. They lied to me about an item being in stock. Promised me that it would be shipped out "priority-overnight shipping"...and 4 days later when it hadn't arrived, told me erroneosly that there had been a "credit-card problem" (they were just trying to buy time). They then promised me that the item would ship out "tonight - for sure" (this was @10 PM), and "will be there tomorrow". Smelling a rat, I called customer service and was told, "there's no way its shipping out tonight or any time soon...it's not in stock and won't be for at least 15 days" Why the *F* didn't they just tell me that in the 1st place?? They had my e-mail, and multiple phone numbers, and never attempted to contact me - there is simply NO EXCUSE for this sort of dishonest, amateur, inconsiderate, business practice."

"Ordered on the 27th after website said they had stock. Was emailed and told I was on backorder and would get shipment in on 30th. That date came and passed was then told would get shipment in on Dec 8th. They get shipment on 4th and stayed in process for a day then was shipped. The shipping number is not recognized by Fedex's site. The problem is I ordered USPS Second day air. They just gave me fedex ground I am very mad and will never deal with them again."

"I should have checked resellerratings before
ordering from this store. But I did not, and that turned out a big mistake. Some of the bad points.
1. Will not give you tracking number for some reason, you will have to click on a link to see where in the UPS system the package is.
2.Will charge you for sale tax even though the package is shipped from Tennesse. Took exactly a week for ground shipping to arrive. So if you think you live in SF bay area and ground shipping will take max 3 days, forget it.
3.After you order, they will change the status
to shipped, though in fact it will enter UPS system after 2 days.

4. Online ad stated 15 dollar rebate, I have not
received any rebate form in the shipment received,
Looks like might have to forgo rebate. In the end
I might have as well bought the compact flash 1 Gig ultra sandisk from Frys.

In short avoid this store.

"Ordered an LCD w/ rebate, which requires a submission within 15 days since giving the order.
They put my item on back order for the first 5 days, then, after the item 'arrived' to their warehouse, they didn't ship it out promptly. Although their CS responsed that it could be processed "at anytime since now", but the order status didn't change after 8 days of waiting, then I have to cancel the order at the end.

I think they were deliberately delaying the shipping and trying to disqualify you for the 150$ rebate.

I won't buy anything from this site.

"I ordered an item that said 'Ships SAME DAY' and I paid extra for overnight delivery. The order was not shipped out on the same day. So the next day I sent 2 e-mail requesting that my order be cancelled (because I needed it that day). I did not get a response until the next following day at which they shipped out the order and told me that it already went out. I was told to accept the item and call for an RMA# in which I would have to pay for the Overnight shipping fee and pay to have it shipped back. Needless to say I refused the delivery and it was sent back two days later. They told me that it may take up to 90 days to issue a refund because I did not have an RMA#.

This is just really poor service. The customer service rep was extremely rude and unhelpful. I still have not gotten a refund and needless to say I will NEVER order from them again.

So be aware that even if you order an item that says 'In Stock' and 'Ships Same Day' and you pay for Overnight delivery, it still may take 3 days to get it!

My advice, buy someplace else and tell everyone you know to stay away from PC Mall.
