"I do a fair amount of business through mail order and the Net. I have to say that I have had a handful of lousy experiences lately. That is why it gives me great pleasure to post a review for someone that does things right. Excellent prices at PCMall, very pleasant customer representative to deal with, and when an item was backordered she called to let me know when it shipped. Many thanks to Kristine, she does things right!

I had one minor problem with an order. I was not aware that there are two different non-compatible airbrushes made by Wacom. I received the wrong one. I called PCMall and the right one was overnighted to me. Excellent service. Fast shipping seems to be the norm for PCMall anyway. I will deal with them whenever possible.

"I made a web order at PCMall.com of a compactflash card because there was a rebate on the card as well as a rebate on the shipping. However, very shortly afterwards I decided to cancel the order by phone. I was assured it was cancelled, but a week later I received the item in the mail even though it had "DO NOT SEND TO CUSTOMER - ORDER CANCELLED" clearly printed on the label. I decided it keep it and sent in both rebates.

Three months later and PC Mall's shipping rebate has not materialised. I emailed them and was told someone would deal with it. That was over a week ago and I've heard nothing.

Companies who do not honor their rebates are committing fraud.

"I received a defective camera and when I returned it for another, I was charged a restocking fee. I was told the camera was not defective. The digital camera would take 10 pictures and then was dead and needed additional batteries. I was told it would take approximately 90 pictures. I called Canon who said they thought the camera was defective. To make a long story short I was told that there would be no restocking fee as It was an even exchange and my credit card would be refunded. The refund never came. I have never dealt with such rude personnel or an internet company that was so unscrupulous I have bought things from the internet for years and have never had problems like this. Just a warning, do not do business with PCMall. There are a lot of good internet companies but PCMall is not one of them. "

"Received email that product was on backorder, without any other info. Emailed them back requesting more info... Received another email 2 days later saying product was on its way. I emailed them again asking for tracking number... 3 days after product arrived I received reply to first email... too little too late. Faster Customer service is needed."

"I was first happy with the customer service from this company. The representative seemed to know what he was talking about. I purchased a digital camera, and the representative told me I needed a charger, that it cost $89.99. I told him that I found it cheaper, $59.99, so he price matched it, under the condition that I give him a good review. After making the purchase, I realized I had been screwed, that I could have gotten a better deal elsewhere. So less than 15 minutes later, I call to change my order and the representative told me that I couldn't. Now I'm sure if I wanted to add something, it wouldn't have been a problem. Anyway, I am very unhappy now that I have received my order. I realized I purchased a charger that I didn't need, and I got a bad deal on a Smartcard."

"I placed an order online for an extra handset for my panasonic home phone system. They had the lowest price that I could find plus free ups ground shipping. Two days later I received my order in excellent condition. They never emailed me with a tracking number but the link provided on their site to check on your order status worked after you go through several menus. Overall I'm satisfied with my experience with them."

"I purchsed 2 Items from PCMall.com. A JVR Referb DVD and a Sherwood Receiver. Both product came as promised and work great. The price could not be beat. In searching the net the Sherwood was about 70.00 with PCMall while other stores were selling it for about $250.00 and this was not a referb model. The DVD player was a Referb and was around $35.00 after rebate. So as you see it was a hard thing to pass up. The only 1 problem that I have with them is their shipping. Compared to other companies the shipping charges are over the top. Yes they do advertise "FREE Shipping" but when you read the fine print it's a max of 20.00 rebate. The rebate part is what also bothers me. Why a rebate on shipping? Just take it off the bottom line price a check out. All and all I still saved $$ on the deal, but be carefull to read the shipping info.
One a 1 to 5 star rating I would give them a 4 stars and would have given them 5 if they would take care of the misleading shipping info.

"I had nothing but excellent service all the way around from this seller. First off UPS diverted the order and was late on delivery and PC Mall refunded the shipping cost due to the late delivery. The item I ordered would not work with my computers for some unknow reason and I was able to return it and was credited the full purchase price. The credit was posted in just a couple of days after PC Mall received it. PC Mall operates the way online stores should operate."

"what i received what not what was advertised. camera was supposed to come with 2 rechargeable batteries and a charger. neither of which was included. when i called them they changed their website right when i hung up on them. so they screwed up and are trying to fix their screw up."

"On 11/4/2002, I ordered a Lexar 256mb compact flash card from PC Mall, since it was on sale and also carried a $20 rebate. Even after the absurdly expensive shipping, the price was still very competitive. I received a confirmation email immediately with order and tracking information. I was able to track my order through the website, and it arrived intact and on time. I downloaded the rebate form, submitted it, and have already received my rebate confirmation email. As bad and annoying as rebates are, my recent experience seems to indicate that the rebate handlers are becoming a little more customer friendly. About time. PCMall proved reliable in this transaction as well."

"Horrible experience. Make absolutely sure you can live with NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT on your large ticket items. My HP 751X Desktop Computer smoked the power supply within 2 hours of use.

I was given a toll free number to HP that had been disconnected. After 3 hours of long distance calls HP will replace my unit with a refurbished unit.

Pure and blatant fraud. I paid for a new unit. PC Malls stance: "Well Mike, morally you're right, ethically you're right..... but technically..... you're screwed.

USE EXTREME CAUTION !!!!!!
