"Tekdeal.com is 1 of only 3 companies I found on the Web who still supplies such ancient software as shrink-wrapped Win95 OSR2 (and 1 of the other 2 may be an old Web site). But when you really need such software, you need it and thankfully companies like Tekdeal.com are there to fill the need.
Now on to what can be improved.
After my charge card was approved it took from Dec. 3rd to Dec. 8th for Tekdeal.com to get my order into their shipping process.
During that time, I sent 2 e-mails (which went unanswered) to customer service asking when my order would be shipped. Also, their 1-866 number "is invalid or blocked from [my] area code".
On Dec. 8th an automated e-mail informed me that my order had been shipped and provided a U.S.P.S. tracking number.
Finally, a day *after* the automated e-mail was sent, I received responses to my e-mails to customer service.
Tekdeal.com needs to learn how to improve their response time to customer e-mails.

I have a Windows XP system and the product will not install, even though it is stated that it will run on an XP system. Broderbund sends me to their automated site, which does not help. I paid $39 for a product that will not install and for which I can speak to no one. Help!

"Found the software on Amazon.com. Tekdeal had an advertised price to include free shipping. Once I submitted the order, I noticed the shipping charge was not removed, so I go stuck with the shipping charges, even though their listing on Amazon said free shipping. Emailed Tekdeal immediately, and informed them of shipping charges that were supposed to be free, never heard a response from Tekdeal via email or by phone. I did receive the software in a reasonable amount of time. Overall on a scale of 1-10, I would rate this deal a 6, because they never responded to my concern. "I placed an Order for Corel WordPerfect Office 2000 Professional on November 30, 2004 and received a confirmation of the Order and Item that same date. Three days later I received my Order only to discover that the wrong Item had been sent, namely a "Not for Retail or OEM Distribution" copy of Microsoft Office Pro 2003. Despite phone calls to Customer Service (Unable to ever speak with any one) and repeated e-mails to customer service, I have yet to hear from anyone. I wish that I had known of your web site before I placed my Order. From reading what other customers of tekdeal.com have to say, my experience is not unusual for this company. I will never order anything from this company again and am very disatified with the lack of customer service.
Customer Service did finally respond and said that they would mail me the corell program, which they did. Pursuant to their instructions, I returned the soft ware sent to me in error. Customer service then e-mailed me to state that the Company had never had such product and would never have sent it to me. As if I could pull a new CD out of the air and return it to them. I felt like they were accusing me of fraudulently receiving a scond copy of the software when in fact I did not receive the correct software until my complaint. "

"Easy to order on website. Had a problem with my first attempt at a credit card order, but was quickly contacted and resolved problem in a short time.
Used the phone number-but no people were there at the time to answer-e-mail was better for customer service since no live humans answered my phone call.
Would order online and contact thru e-mail again.

update-I ordered an older version of Wndows 98SE. It wasn't the version of Windows I needed. I returned it right away to be in the 30-day deadline, but you need a number to return things-so don't return *that* way. (I did use UPS so it was tracked-do that if you can.)Customer service did e-mail me asking if I wanted a refund or an exchange, but
it still took forever for Tekdeal to verify that it was returned *and* that I did qualify for a partial refund. (They take out a restocking fee.)
I was finally given a refund credit.
Be sure what you order will work for your needs before you buy it. Don't return anything for refund or exchange until they give you that number to track the return. It took so long to get a satisfactory response on the return-I'd hate to tell anybody to buy from them.
Use Tekdeal only as a last resort.
