"Terrible WEBSITE that promotes scammers and fraud, and doesn't do anything about it. I unfortunately was a victim of a scam. I understand its still my fault, but the fact that it took forever to get someone. Then once I got someone they just say awe I'm sorry that happened we sympathize....etc. they have have the scammers profile. They see he used the gift card. I look today and the account is still active. The gift card that can only be used on ebey they can't stop the transaction nor will they cancel the whatever was purchased by the scammer on ebay. This is a horrible place to buy or sell anything and I will no longer be doing business and DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE THIS. There is amazon now that is more reliable, and has people you can contact automatically. Not a automated system that ends up hanging up on you."
"I purchase an Optoma CinemaX P1 Projector on Ebay on 4/27/2020, and found a better price on other place so I returned the Item on 5/11/2020. The seller agree to issue me the full refund on this item. The total item price is $3799 +$227.94 = $4026.94. I was refunded $3799 by the seller and was told by seller that ebay will refund the tax of $227.94 since ebay is the one collecting tax. But it has been More than one month now and I still not get refunded of the tax of $227.94. I have contacted customer services for 7 times and every one of them promised to refund me on this amount which never seems to happen. I do think this is sale tax fraud that ebay is practicing that they charge tax for something that is not saled and keep the money for themself."
"I gave a negative feedback to an eBay seller from UK, because a damaged item (described as new) was returned and I did not receive any refund, even after 4 weeks. The seller did not respond at all. Some days after I gave a negative feedback this feedback disappeared. Ebay customer support stated that feedbacks will be automatically deleted by the system when shipping is graded with less than 3 stars during the virus crisis. However, this was not the point of my feedback. No item, no money and my negative feedback was deleted. Shady sellers can do what they want! Therefore buying on eBay is not recommended."

"As of May 2020. When I started w eBay in the 1990's, it was really good. Results of searches came up that always included your search terms. But NO MORE. Today do a search for "patio swing" and you get 7,000 results without the word "swing"!! eBay is now useless for narrowing your results. Hard to find exact product you want. Want to complain about that, or anything else? You can NO LONGER get a hold of a person at eBay by phone, or by email. Everything automated. If your problem does not fit an automated response, forget it, you've just wasted an hour of your time. "
"Even after accepting a return as a seller and refunding the buyer, ebay states that they will not credit back the fees from the sale of it unless seller appeals. This is a complete fraud on a seller and should be handled by the proper consumer protection branches. AVOID EBAY AT ALL COSTS!!! "

"I ordered from a seller that had fast shipping, I ordered on April 14th with the fast delivery here it is the 23rd of April (PM now) and i still have not recieved my package. I was to;ld to contact the seller which i did and after two messages with in a week no respond. So i asked for a refund so i can order frome someone wlse, NO ANSWER ! So I tried to call but no one answering the phone because of this virus so i did live chat a few days ago but when i tried today the live chat was not available, i think because after I complained enough they blocked my chat and calls somehow. "I do not have Paypal account however Ebays site use Paypal to make transactions to others using Paypal. This site is the only site that had my CC information and used Paypal for transactions. My CC transaction that I made on the same exact day was used by Paypal to pay for an Ebay transaction and within that transaction from Ebay to that Ebay user using Paypal my CC information was captured. There was another transaction within an hour of Ebays transaction using Paypal which charged my CC for $4,000....Some how some way my CC information was shared with another Paypal user that captured my CC information on the Ebay transactions. Ebay doesn't have safe or secure transactions this is very bad and needs to be reported. I am in the process of taking appropriate steps as Ebay hasn't stepped in and reviewed their transactions from Ebay clients using a CC to their Sellers that use Paypal for payment. I would highly advise not using Ebay especially if you use a CC as they seem to do nothing."
"I sold an item on April 2 I usually wait for it to show up in my Paypal account before I send it to the buyer. EBay said the money had been sent to Paypal and to go ahead and send it to my buyer
Come to find out that my Ebay account had been hacked and someone directed my fund into their account
What about the so called guarantee with Ebay? Well no Ebay blames Paypal, Paypal blames Ebay
I have now contacted the FBI and Their internet crime unit
