Amazing new PC ordering experience!

" After months of research, and being let down with support/responses from at least 5 other system integrators, I have finally landed here at Origin PC, and let me tell you I am so very glad I did. From the moment I sent my first
inquiry to their support asking a question about my build, within minutes I get a response letting me know they are looking at the config and will be right back with me. I thought wow! Thirty minutes later I received an email stating my config looked solid and they saw no issues with the build specs. (Neuron)
Two weeks role by and now I have logged into the Origin site, loaded my pre-configured config I had saved and reviewed it prior to hitting purchase. Once I confirmed the purchase I was immediately notified that they received my order and it was being processed. The very next day I received an email from Nick, who mentioned that he is assigned as my dedicated support tech and will be there with me every step of the way to update me on the process and progress of my system. Everyday I heard from him,(Every day!) (as well as you can follow the progress online from Ordered, to Assembled, to Integrated, Quality checks, shipping!)with updated progress and he explained what comes next, and he was very transparent about the chip market and parts can take a bit. I respect that! Luckily for me everything I had on my list was in stock and from the day I ordered 5/4/2022 it was assembled, overnight burn in process, Quality Assurance checks for any issues that may have come up before sending out, and it's out for delivery for an arrival tomorrow.(7 business days) I have never had such a fantastic experience from the start to the finish. I am looking forward to receiving it tomorrow. I will recommend anyone I come in contact with looking for a solid pc to head over to Origin, you will not regret it whatsoever.
Kudos to you!

Amazing service and PC quality

"I ordered the 7000x with a hardline custom loop. My sales rep was Arturo, super cool and nice. He had a lot of product knowledge, as well as keeping me updated through the entire process. The PC arrived today. I was completely mindblown taking it out of the box, everything was perfect the angles of the tubing were perfect , the bends. All of the wires where neat , opening the back the cable management was incredible. It also came a couple days earlier than expected but even if it came after the expected date it would of been worth the wait. I would definitely recommend going with origin."

BSOD Nightmare

"To start, I had purchased my first Origin PC back in 2017, a i7-7700k, 1080ti, and 32GB of Ram. After 5 years, with zero issues it finally gave up on me, and instead of trying to fix it and spend money on it, I went ahead and started looking for a new PC.
I checked multiple websites, but Origin ended up being the cheapest when it came to pre-built PC’s. In Feb. 2022 I ordered a I9-12900k, 3090, with 32GB of DDR5 Ram. I changed my order a bit after I placed the order and they were nice enough to change some specs before it shipped out. After about 2 and a half weeks it was shipped. I paid for one day shipping and then it took 4 days to get here. It was of course Origin saying it was UPS’s fault and then UPS telling me since I wasn’t the one that paid them directly Origin would have to take care of it which they never did. Once I got it and inspected it and all seemed good. After start-up I checked to make sure all disks were shown which were not. I had to go into disk management and write the disk and assign them a drive letter, not a huge deal as it took about a minute and then the PC was good to go.
Around a week after having it I had a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) which I just thought that not good, but okay, just one and we will see if it was just a freak occurrence. Then 1 Blue screen became two, which slowly spiraled into me having around 3 to 4 blue screens in a couple of hours. I was on and off the phone with their tech support, which most of them were very friendly and helpful. They even sent a new 3090 for free to see if that would resolve my issues. Nothing seemed to work, after a new windows 11 install, a new 3090, re-seating the ram, running memtest86, and everything you can think of it was still giving me the BSOD.
In just a few hours on March 18th I had 1. A Hard Crash where my PC just shut off
2. BSOD system thread exception not handled 3. PFN List Corrupt 4. IRQL not less or equal 5. Another Hard Crash 6. System service exception 7. Another BSOD I didn’t copy down the error and 8. Another Hard Crash.
After this I got a return label from Origin and went to UPS to send it out. It took just two days to get to them and then roughly 2 weeks before it was shipped out again, then 3 day shipping to get back to me. They have said they changed the PSU. So After nearly 3 weeks I got it and right off the bat I noticed it would sometimes freeze when launching an application. Not all the time, but every now and then loading Google Chrome it’ll freeze for around a minute and then same for Steam that’ll freeze for about a minute as well. Not the end of the world, the gaming FPS seemed to be the same within a 1% of where it was before so I wasn’t too worried about the freezing every now and then loading an application. After 2 days of getting it back I had yet another BSOD. Then just yesterday, April 7th, I had yet another 4 BSOD. Same BSOD errors I was getting early, “PFN List Corrupt, Memory management, etc.”
If I were to send it back to them to get repaired again even though they failed to fix the problem in the first place, now I’d have to pay for shipping. Their policy states after 45 days they will not cover shipping. So because of their incompetence of not being able to fix my BSOD issues after having it for 2 weeks, I would have to cover shipping for a 101lbs crate with my PC. Would cost around $200 and there’s no guarantee they would fix my issue because they have already failed since I’m dealing with the same issues all over again.
I would recommend steering clear of Origin PC and choosing another company or simply build your own computer like I am now

Charged for Origins Error

"
Online Configuration Had a problem:
I understand your Configuration system may not have included the cooling fan on the parts list but in all fairness when I was configuring this system and I changed the CPU to the Intel Core i9-12900K 16-Cores 3.2GHz (5.2GHz TurboBoost) I got this pop up: Motherboard has been updated to MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI DDR5
Memory has been updated to 32GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 (2x16GB) DDR5 4800MHz
System Cooling has been updated to CORSAIR H150i PRO XT RGB Cooler - as you will notice the cooling system is clearly stated . That being the case I really don't think I should be charged again for it.

My further checking on 3-6-2022 your web site configuring computer systems I found that on the Millenium You get basically the same drop down Motherboard has been updated to MSI PRO Z609-A WIFI, DDR5 Memory has been updated to 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 (2x16GB) DDR5 4800MHz, System Cooling has been updated to CORSAIR H150i PRO XT RGB Cooler. Which changed the price for the updates by $556.00 and when I checked the configuration summary it showed the cooling system in the update.

Next on the GENESIS again You get basically the same drop down Motherboard has been updated to MSI PRO Z609-A WIFI, DDR5 Memory has been updated to 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 (2x16GB) DDR5 4800MHz, System Cooling has been updated to CORSAIR H150i PRO XT RGB Cooler. Which changed the price for the updates by $530.00 again when I checked the configuration summary it showed the cooling system in the update after the price increase was applied.

Checking the NEURON today 3-6-2022 the configuration summary does show the cooling unit on it after the updates were applied HERE'S the thing with it showing the cooling unit on it THE PRICE DIDN'T CHANGE from what I already paid. Which was $555.00 for the upgrades which is right in line with the cost for the same upgrades on the other configurations.
So I shouldn't be charged again for the cooling system.

So I was still informed I would have to pay and additional $150.00 some dollars for a cooling system. Even after showing the price increase was in line with the upcharge on the other systems.

UPDATE: I appreciate danieloriginpc for double checking the pricing for this part. The Origin Customer Support Team that I dealt with where very easy to work with and always willing to help. Other then the pricing issue I was kept informed on the progress of my system. I have upgraded my rating from Below Average to Excellent.

A major issue

"I bought a Millennium 6 years ago and was quite satisfied with it. Two months ago I decided to buy another Millennium from them. Turned out to be a mistake.

When I ordered it I was very specific that I would install the 4 drives from my current machine and that I would need enough cables to do that.

I got the new PC in a reasonable amount of time, but they didn't send the additional cables I requested.

I had power cables from the old Millennium and used those, but then the machine wouldn't power up. Called their phone support line and spent 2 hours on the phone before the support tech said I would need to send the PC back to them. Said I could leave my data drives in it, since I had paid a local tech to install them.

A week after they got it back they emailed me to say the PC was okay, the problem is that the Corsair power supply requires proprietary power cables.

Said they would install the correct cables and test it.

As of last week they still haven't done that and now have stopped responding to me at all.

Don't know when or even if I'll get the computer back. At this point I'd accept eating the $3,000 I paid for it, but I would at least like to get my 4 data drives back.

Since they were bought by Corsair it's become impossible to talk to anyone who can give me answers.

Scam, do not use.

"Every part of my experience with Origin has been awful. It took weeks upon weeks to get my laptop originally. I just recently sent it in for some repairs which took over a month to get it back. When I received it back, my computer was completely cleared of all my data, which I was never informed would happen."

Fantastic Mellium case custom PC

"Maybe I got lucky, or maybe they sell so many PCs that only folks who had problems (and I believe them) take the time to review, yet I've been incredibly happy with the build, the quick turn-around from initial configuration with chat-help from the sales rep, to the delivery (ahead of the posted schedule of 7-10 days turnaround to shipping). It actually arrived the day before it was even supposed to have been completed. Dave in tech support was super helpful with some lingering questions on set-up day and I have to say that the cable routing is neat as a pin!

TBH, I was almost put off by some of the negative reviews on a couple of sites regarding pricing and customer service.
1. I priced out each component from the case to the accessories on Amazon, NewEgg, and PCpricePicker and with the horrendous mark-ups from some resellers for GPUs, DDR5 RAM, and more, this top-line Millennium gaming PC custom-build from OriginPC was only a couple hundred dollars more than building it myself (if I could even find some components).
2. While I considered a DYI build, (which can be fun) it's a ton of time and and a steep learning curve (even with helpful YouTube vids). Given what my time is worth, it would have cost hundreds more to self-build, and while I'm detailed, I could have never routed the cabling as nice and detailed as they did.
3. Then consider the solid wooden shipping crate to protect my investment, 24/7 support, and the access they have to OEM parts and Corsair in general (I believe OriginPC is now a division of Corsair), this was a very GOOD VALUE!

Was it perfect? There were a couple of emails that took several days to resolve as much of the staff is working from home (according to the sales rep)430014, yet calling almost always got a response within a few minutes. They could have labeled all the extra cables they include from the motherboard/GPU/drives etc. (which I really appreciate).
However, on a whole, I'm just gob-smacked by this beautiful machine and very happy with OriginPC so far. Maybe they're starting to work out some pandemic kinks as Spring approaches, I hope so.

Very impressed.

"This was my first time purchasing a pre-built PC in many years. I am quite pleased with the whole process. I ordered a mid-tower Neuron and it was shipped out to me in less than two weeks. The PC was securely packaged and there were no loose screws or connections. Everything arrived in great condition and the cable management was really good.

Essential drivers and programs were pre-installed. There was also a folder that the Origin technician left that contains screenshots of different stress test scores that your machine achieved while Origin was in possession of it. I think it's great that Origin stress tests the hardware prior to shipping to ensure its stability. My system looks awesome and is performing really well so far. Thank you, Origin.
