Account suspended a week after purchase, no reason given.

"Newegg "suspended" my account out of no where. A few weeks back I purchased a new Motherboard and CPU, then the following week a new external HD. Went back in to order new ram and noticed a message my account was "suspended" due to security concerns. Called CS and they were no help, they had a manager call me back who said they found the suspension "weird" saw nothing on the account that would explain it.. They opened a ticket with the "verification team" and emailed me back an hour later saying they wouldnt be able to unlock that account. I asked if they were telling to shop else where and their response was no and they suggested opening a new account with a different email which i have done.. In the mean time I created an order and checked out as Guest using my work email address, this morning when i checked the status of the order it was showing as VOID due to "verification concerns" I called CS and they weren't able to to provide any information as to the "verification" other than opening a ticket that would be answered in 1-2 days... No clue WTF is going on with Newegg.. It appears i've been blackballed by them for making a couple of purchases?? "

Purchased a digital game for PC

"Purchased a digital game through Newegg for a PC. They charged me for 2 instead of one digital download. When asked for a refund on one they refused. On top of that the game will not even work"

Over a month for shipping then charged fees to return

"I ordered all of the parts for a custom PC for my sons to build for Christmas. I ordered part on 11-28-20 and another order on 11-30-20. A few days before Christmas it became obvious my video cards and CPU fans would not arrive on time. I ordered from Ebay and Amazon and was able to get the components to my house before Christmas. Newegg acknowledged that the fans were lost and started a 7-10 day claim for me(not helpful). However, the video cards were supposedly on schedule from China. I was not aware I ordered something from China. I assumed it was all from Newegg. Wrong. Anyway after it was too late for Christmas I received my items that I now had no use for. I had to pay return shipping and restocking fees on the packages. Close to 80 dollars. I understand they cannot control shipping times but a month is unreasonable by any standard and I should not be held financially responsible for the shipping delays. First and last dealings with Newegg. They only care about the bottom line and are not interested in taking care of the customers needs unless it makes them a buck. Amazon always takes care of any issues I have and I should never have taken my business away from them. Lesson learned."

Terrible attitude towards customer loyalty

"I dropped over $1500 with them in the last 30 days, but I realized one $225 part was not what I needed and instead I needed a different one they had at $300. Called about an exchange and they told me I'll have to pay to ship the part back (fair enough) and I'll take a 15% restock fee hit because it is opened even though everything is like new and complete. Really? Fine, I'll sell it elsewhere and buy the replacement elsewhere as well. I used to drop thousands a year with these guys but now I remember why I don't any more."

"Ordered ram from them and after 2 weeks still not delivered. Contacted them and they want to do an investigation for 10 days and then and only then they will notify me of the results. They have a take it leave it attitude. Do not buy from them! "

Digital Code Takes Longer than Advertised

"I bought a digital code for a video game on Xbox. The webpage says orders are usually processed and sent within an hour. Well I waited a day, then contacted support, who said that it may take an additional 1-3 days to process. Once processed, the code is sent within an hour.

The year is 2020. We should have computers automatically processing these orders and sending out codes. Not humans. It's not like I haven't ordered from Newegg before. I've been a customer for years. Just buy these digital codes from Microsoft directly next time, not worth the few dollars I saved.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM IF YOU EVER PLAN ON MOVING

"I bought a item for my daughter for christmas (2019) it had a warrenty and they held up to that they said return it and we will send you a replacement....great right?! Wrong I sent my item back to them they got my item on October 15th. They confirmed they received it. So I let them know like I had told the 6 people before them that I no longer lived at the address they have and I needed to update my address. They said they could do it soon as they were going to ship out the replacement item. Wrong they said after having my item they can't update addresses in their system for replacements. What a joke so after finding that out the customer service lady said the return will be processed by October 22nd and I'd have my money refunded back (since they can't update an address) in 3 to 5 days. Well it's now the 30th of October annnnnd they haven't even processed it according to the customer service person I spoke with today. She insures me it will be handled within 1 to 2 business days.

I'd give them -5 stars if i could!! This place is a joke. They are basically stealing from people!

They Can't Find the Box

"Four times since the pandemic I have made purchases of computer components from Newegg that show 2-4 day shipping where a label immediately appears "created label" and just sits there for as much as a week. Contact with customer service always states it will go out tomorrow, the data is behind, no cancellations allowed once purchased for any reason and the item never shows up. They can't refund it because the item they state is with the carrier even though the carrier states "waiting for the item from seller" so you wait until the shipper who claims they don't have the item sends it back to the vendor. This appears to be a "shell game" folks where no one is culpable but it appears they don't have the item and want to "play" with your money! My advice, and this is recent since the pandemic is stay away as likely this whole resource is likely to collapse soon and they have been a major supplier for computer industry compoenents for many years."

Greedy company, cancelled my order to double the price of it

"DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE. Newegg absolutely screwed me on this product. I ordered this on 10/22. After receiving a shipping invoice the following day, I was pretty excited to be getting my new joystick, whenever that showed up in the next month. The very next day I got an email stating that they had received my RMA requests and would confirm when they received the item itself (never sent an RMA request, still don't have the item itself...). After getting these emails I check their website, only to find that it's in stock AND well over $100 more than the price I paid for it. Bit suspicious, right?
I called Newegg and got the most garbage support. Not only did the first person "transfer" me to another department for escalation, only to land in a phone survey asking about my satisfaction and then get hung up on, but the at the end they basically told me to stuff it. After calling back and waiting 15+ minutes to get back to the same point again, I was escalated to Earl. Earl flatly blamed the issue on the seller, Deal Targets.
At this point it's worth mentioning I called my brother after I bought the joystick to tell him I found a solid one in stock. My brother bought the joystick while we were on the phone and it is well on it's way. How is he getting the joystick when he ordered it AFTER me?
I asked Earl what he would do to make this up to me, which he responded with "refund your card." That is not making it up to me, that's simply giving me MY money back. I am NEVER buying anything off this BS website again, Newegg can go stick it.

Got Scammed in RMA

"I ordered a motherboard and CPU combo. The motherboard came in unprotected in the box and lacked a CPU socket protector. I did an RMA and waited patiently for almost 3 weeks. I was told my motherboard was damaged by myself and that they cannot fulfill my replacement order. I am disappointed and feel robbed. I will no longer be using this site for my PC enthusiast needs. "
