newegg used to be good - now they have no customer service to speak of

"I shopped at Newegg for years, but now I look elsewhere. This place doesn't even have a phone number where you can talk to a live person if you have a problem with your order. For example - if you pay extra for 2-day shipping you may or may not get your item shipped in less than a week, let alone arrive in 2-days. And who can you call to find out what's going on? No one. Only purchase from Newegg if: 1) you don't care if the order arrives on time or not 2) you never have to speak with a person or place on doing a return. If you're a gambler and like high-stakes shopping, Newegg is for you!"

After looking into this, we noticed that you never made any contact with us by phone call at all, so unfortunately, we've never received any of your feedback about your shipping experience mentioned above. You did select the chat option in November 2023 but never responded to the agent who assisted you at the time. In regards to your shipping feedback, we noticed that your most recent orders in December & January using only UPS Ground instead of UPS 2-Day Air, and were shipped on-time given the original ETAs that were provided to you. Moving forward if you set any deadlines in receiving your items, we highly recommend you select a faster shipping method other than UPS ground, so that you receive them at least 1-2 days in advance. If for any reason that UPS delivers any of your orders beyond the ETA date given, please don't hesitate to reach out to our contact center, so we can refund your shipping cost back to your original payment method. newegg didn't help, nor did supervisor matthew's attitude

"Simple request for a return label to be printed and mailed to me to facilitate return of ~$4000 purchase.
"newegg can schedule a pick up with UPS and send you a label, but this is a third party purchase and Newegg won't do that for 3rd party purchases." !!!!

It's a simple request. Evidently newegg doesn't have printers now. They did before. No hesitation last time I had to ask for this: my previous purchase because of receiving defective items two times.

I PURCHASED THROUGH NEWEGG BECAUSE I THOUGHT THEY WOULD HELP IF THERE WERE ANY PROBLEMS. What they will do for first party purchase, they refuse to do for 3rd party purchases. It's the same service: print & mail. How could doing that in any way negatively impact newegg?

So if newegg isn't going to help, and I have to get attitude from a supervisor also; remind me again what is the reason to purchase through newegg? I'll go directly to the seller from now on. Sorry you're not getting any, Matthew. Perhaps if you tried being nice? Bye middleman Brokenegg.

It was alright

"I ordered a motherboard at the early days of February and ended up not receiving it until march I thought it would have a normal shipping time because it didn’t say who the seller was or where it would ship from if you’re going to put resellers on your website make sure they work on reasonable time expectations"

Best Service Ever

"Newegg is a model for all other businesses to follow. They have a huge selection of products, great prices, and absolutely the best customer service if you have a problem. Not to mention their super fast shipping. I use them for all of my computer needs and highly recommend them to anyone shopping for their products. I can't express how satisfied I am with their company. Unlike other customers complaining about Newegg not having a phone number or being able to talk to a live person, I was able to obtain their phone from the website and talk to customer service."

Please don't send via US Mail to property address

"Again we have a bad shipping issue where Newegg sent via US Mail to our site address that does NOT have a US Mailbox so Post Office will not deliver. I have contacted several people via phone and email on multiple occasions to clarify to use FEDEX/UPS or any other carrier to our site address but NOT US MAIL. If it must be sent via US Mail to send to our PO BOX instead but thus far to no avail...."

Excellent customer service.

"Romero, the Newegg customer service agent, was outstanding in handling the exchange process for a new computer that I had just purchased. There was a small problem with the device, and Romero assured me that Newegg stood by its no questions asked return policy. Newgg promptly sent a return label, and will ship out the same model as a replacement.

I must say that Romero, during the whole process, was polite, professional, helpful, and patient as I asked many, many questions, as he took the time to answer every one of them, and I was completely satisfied with all of his answers.

Romero, thank you from a new and dedicated Newegg customer.

"Vince D. Really took care of me and addressed my issue pretty darn quick. He responded quickly and was extremely professional. The survey didnt pop up so (probably due to my network firewall) so I called customer support and Ramiro C. got me over here like a boss. 2 great guys in a row isn't exactly a coincidence. Give them some raises!"

Great customer service (Josh T)

"I had a few issues with being able to turn the LEDs off for the fans, but Josh T was really helpful and walked me through troubleshooting while making sure I understood what I was doing instead of just unplugging things and plugging them back in. He was also cool to talk with while I was in the process of troubleshooting and following wires around the PC, seemed like he knew what I was talking about and had a genuine interest in the field. Hope I get Josh again if I have to call customer for something else"

Way too many 3rd party sellers

"Far too many third party sellers and almost all are low reputation, low quality, and why would I possibly want my order to ship from multiple different places? If I wanted to put in a scattered, inefficient order from a dozen companies I've never heard of, I'd go to Amazon."

No contact after sale

"My children pulled their money to buy me a computer for Christmas.ORDER # 543631112 I enjoyed the machine when it first turned on but within 30 days it started to turn off randomly. Because they bought it before Christmas it was more than 30 days between the purchase price and the time the machine started to malfunction. This made it impossible for me to reach the sellers. I did suspect the power supply but even with a reference power supply the machine shuts off randomly. I am left with a very expensive paperweight and a bad taste in my mouth because my kids wasted their money.
I have sent messages to Newegg but I have no response and Minisforum provides no contact information whatsoever. All I can say is, for this store, buyer beware. Investor money wisely, elsewhere.

The “Marketplace model” is crap.

"There are many resellers that are either scamming low grade Chinese crap that shouldn’t be sold in America or shipping direct from China, that it takes forever to get, this model ****. I don’t want to buy from Ali or and other overseas competitors. Also now I have to filter thru all the 3rd party crap to find something you are selling directly so I have a return policy that works. Looks like greed took over and China took over Meh Egg. I may buy things from time to time but I’ll mostly be finding a source that ships from America. Amazon is also this kind of schwag store selling grey market trash for too much. Have some integrity. "
