I needed a transducer shipped overnight. BoatFix had it in stock, and shipped it to me overnight as promised. They also responded promptly to my e-mail. Not only was the service great, they had the best price.
The experience with BoatFix consistently rates a "10" out of 10.

"They have a terrible return policy. They sent me the incorrect part with a completely different item number claiming it was discontinued by the manufacturer although they continued to list its availability on their site. When i contacted them to say i did not order or want the incorrect item they gave me a partial refund and i am now out the amount it cost them to ship me the worn item and me to return it. All they would need to do is contact people before shipping alternate items, but i guess that's too much work.
Make sure they actually have in stock what your ordering because they obviously don't keep their website updated.

"I ordered TWO bennett trim tabs and paid the extra for 3-day shipping as I needed the parts as soon as possible.
When the package arrived, there was only one part instead of two.
I contacted Boatfix who said "It was an oversight in picking"
When I received the second part I was expecting some type of (at least) store credit for the money I waisted in shipping. Nothing.
I contacted them again and was told "Mistakes do happen. We do apologize"

"I had a starter fail on my boat on Tuesday, and had a trip planned for the upcoming weekend. I placed my order to boatfix.com on Wednesday with instructions that I needed the part by Saturday morning. I received the package Thursday. "Needed a last minute Christmas gift but was in the hospital with some serious medical issues. Called the Boatfix help desk, explained my situation and asked them to see if they could find me another GPS like the ones I had ordered several months before. Mike not only researched a great deal but handled the entire order process for me since I was sick.

"Not only does BoatFix usually have the lowest prices, but they carry items that can be difficult to find at other marine retailers (parachute flares, for example). I'm always pleased with my purchases. The one time I received a defective item, the exchange was quick and painless."

"Ordered several cruising guides that were far, far cheaper than local brick and mortar stores. Opted for standard shipping and loved that in just a few days there waiting at the door. Have shopped Boatfix much before, and will definitely continue to do so....can't wait to blow the holiday gift cards there...

"Ordered some rope. Their site has page where you can track if your order shipped. It was never updated, and after a week email helpdesk to ask status. Was told item not in stock and offered option of purchasing another product for a higher cost. Agreed to go with other product, based on total cost as shown on their web site, and that's when all problems started. They mischarged me and when I asked them, I got different numbers a few times of what I was being charged. I called and their customer service guy, Mike was very rude and not helpful at first, acusing me of suspecting they are trying to rip me off. After calming him down, I was able to asked to cancel the order. I emailed the cancelation request to Mike. Mike emailed confirmation that order was canceled. Then emailed again saying they already shipped so they can't cancel. Called Mike again, and after calming the guy down he explained that the discrepancy is because they chose USPS express shipping to get it to me before christmas. I did not ask for express shipping, although I did ask if it would arrive by christmas, and I specifically specified the shipping as priced on their web site. It is still 10 days till chrismas and Mike says UPS 3 day which is cheaper would not get here in time.
Also he says the price of shipping on the site is not absolute, and is an estimate that is mostly correct. Not a very professional statement.

Overall, bad experience. However, being a believer that you can't judge things by one event, I'd probably order again, but next time with clearly defined confirmation of what they plan to charge in writing. Then again, the way Mike handled my customer service request... I keep getting upset thinking about it that I may not order again...
