"Purchase went very smoothly and in a timely manner as the part was needed the next weekend.

I have been dealing with Boatfix for several years. One rare occasion, some wires got crossed when I changed my mind after placing an order...I sent an e-mail and received a prompt phone call and help……they went overboard to please (pun intended)

Great value and service........highly recommended

"This order shipped in a timely manner without incident. Product arrived on time and in excellent condition.

My credit card was not charged until the day before the shipment arrived, which was sent UPS Regular, arrived.

Inquiries regarding this product at other vendors was that it was discontinued, which was not correct. Boatfix had no availability problems.

During the spring and summer, Boatfix went through a lot of changes which caused their customer service to deteriorate. They relocated; hired new people to be trained; and had major upper management changes. These took its toll on the Customer Service. Management recognized this and has worked diligently to remedy the situation. They seem to have been successful. I would recommend giving another try now.

"I received the goods that I ordered quickly and in very good condition. The item was exactly what I ordered and was priced far below any other vendor that I could find online. As an additional bonus, they bill the actual cost of shipping instead of using some pre-programmed price.

I was very happy with this order and have been pleased on previous orders as well.

"my most recent vhf radio order was shipped quickly as have been all orders over several years from them. Turns out I needed an optional mount the makers web site was unclear about. Boat fix found the needed mount and shipped it very quickly.
I deal with many online suppliers and this is one of the best. They are also very knowledgeable about mercruiser engine parts.

"Great selection and great prices, hard to complain! I only wish I could order from them more frequently, but I frequently wait until the last minute to buy stuff and end up paying too much at local retail stores.

"I have been shopping at BF for over 7 years. It was my first try at online shopping and I got lucky the first time. Shipping takes anywhere from 1 to 5 days depending on where it was shipped from(I'm on the opposite coast). I once ordered a wrong part and they shipped the right part even before I returned the wrong part. I've saved thousands of dollars thru this company."

"I have ordered numerous items from Boatfix over the past 4 years and have always been completely satisfied with the service. My most recent order was just after this past Christmas and my order (8' marine radio antenna) was damaged in shipment. The damage was caused by the shipping company and Boatfix quickly sent out a replacement as soon as they received the damaged item back. The second try was also damaged by the shipping company. Upon receiving the second returned, damaged package, the sent a third on out using a different shipper and that one finally arrived undamaged. In my opinion, Boatfix bent over backwards to make right a problem caused by a 3rd party shipping company.

All of my previous orders had arrived quiclky and without incident. I couldn't be happier with either the prices or the service.

"Fraud warning!Everyone before me is correct. No coustomer service. I order a part that was discontinued andthey didn't have one on the shelf. It was on their web sight so they still took my order. I got a confirmation of the order and waited. Nothing until I inquired. They charged my credit card for something they did not have and were never going to have again. A month latter and I still have not gotten them to credit my account back. I recieved e-mails saying they would, but nothing. What kind of buisness charges for something they don't have? Fraud. The fight continues. DON"T RISK YOUR MONEY."

"Placed a large order on Aug 14th, got most parts on Aug 18th. I used the trouble ticket system to inquire about remaining shipment and Mike said they would most likely be there on the 20th, which they were.
Mike said use different warehouses for shipping so parts arrive in separate shipments. I have ordered a dozen of so times from Boatfix and have been very satisfied with the service and you can't beat their price and inventory. Sometimes you need some patience with the deliveries on complicated orders. The simple orders always arrive one or two days after ordering. I highly recommend this web site for boaters.

"Placed order on June 2nd got the box 5 days later, filled with paper and a service manual which was one of two items ordered, the invoice in the box listed the wiring harness and the manual but no indication that any back order was happening or a separate shipment. Customer service never indicated why this is done this way. Mike did say the part is custom made by CDI and there would be an additional wait and they would drop ship to my home. This is nearly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No one is responsible for letting the customer know there will be a wait. Until there is an irate customer asking where the part is of course. I will not use this site ever again. I would recommend checking reviews of these sites. and research before buying. Got the part boat is working again, but lousy customer service.

"I was looking for a hard to find item and Boatfix.com's website showed that the item could be ordered. No indication that it was out of stock. After the order, Boatfix gave me no indication that there was a problem with the item. Since everyone else was out of the item I got worried and started a helpdesk ticket (No direct customer service number, if you call the general number and choose customer service they direct you back to the website.) That's when they said that they didn't have any but "should have some in within a week". As that week came and went I got no communication from Boatfix. Finally I called the tech support number and got a guy (who was also a person answering the help desk tickets). There I found out that the manufacturer wasn't sending out the item. Something that would have been nice to know since they had my money. Ended up canceling my order and getting a refund.

Pros:
-If you manage to get a person on the phone they know what's going on.
-Price
-Email replies to your ticket get added in to the ticket.
-Quick on the refund after the phone call
Cons:
-No 800 number
-No customer service number
-Did I mention I hate help desk ticket submissions for service inquiries?
-Very small-shop feel
-Took them about a day to respond to emails.
-Didn't keep me informed on status of stock

"The worst customer service I have ever experienced on the web. There is no one to call period. The have a web site for customer service but don't respond. Period. Thier return policy is 10-25% restocking fee. 25%? "
