Excellent customer service

"I stopped in the Johnson City TN location and the lady was so sweet and helpful. I needed a battery for my key fob and she looked up the make and model car, what the fob looked like and what battery was needed. She also gave me a screw driver to change the battery myself. It was a great experience. She was so helpful."

Had screen replaced

"Had my Iphone 7 Plus screen replaced and three weeks later the phone completely stopped working. No where will fix the phone because of the third party part from Batteries Plus. Absolutely furious. "

Avoid at all cost

"Went in to purchase cell phone battery and a key fob. It took two weeks to get and install the phone battery, which holds a charge for 4 hours! The Key Fob was worse. You have to make an appointment to have it programmed. I made 3 and their " technician" was a no show for all.
Last trip there.

Warranty scam

"They supposedly offer a lifetime warranty on cell phone battery. My cellphone battery will not hold a charge, even if the phone is not used. Tried to get a replacement. Their solution: I buy and pay for a new battery. They will then test my current battery overnight. IF they agree, I get a refund. If they do not agree my battery is bad, I just paid full price for another one just like it. They are the sold judge, my experience with the battery is meaningless, ignored. THIS IS A SCAM! "

Terrible customer service

"Terrible customer service! I went in to purchase a 2032 battery for my Harley fob. The franchize owner took my fob sent it to the back and shortly there after it was brought out by a tech and handed off to the franchise owner who began to ring me up. When he told me it would cost me $6.95 I asked him if he was really going to charge me $6.95 for a $1.50 battery. He snatched the fob from my hand went to the back removed the new battery and return to the front with my fob and the old battery returned to it. I simply wanted to know why he was charging so much and he would not explain. I told him I wanted the number of his DM and he told me to step aside while he finished with other customers. I told him to give me the number now and I would leave. He when to the back then returned with a card and stated come outside and I will give it to you. I followed him out and took the card. After reviewing the card it was his information on the card and not that of his DM. Come to find out they are franchises and because I was dealing with the owner that was as far I would get up the chain. I left and went to a local grocery store where I bought a two pack for $2.99 and changed the batteries in both of my fobs for less than he wanted to charge me. I had purchased two motorcycle batteries and one car battery prior to this from this location. With those purchases the service was less than stellar, but after this last trip it goes without saying that I will never shop at batteriesplus again. Customer service is not a priority here!"

Customer service training

"Went into my local Batteries Plus in Traverse City MI, to have my watch battery replaced , on 6/03/18 about 1:45 pm the clerk took care of the battery just find , Than I had seen on the rack a battery for my solar light , at least thats what I thought i aske the clerk if it was a 3 A it was a 20/23 she told me no this is a 3 AAA battery , I explained to her about the solar light that had a battery like the look of a 20/23 she than explained to me what a solar battery was to be charged by solar , in a not nice way , I asked her if Batteries Plus carried a charger to recharge the 3 AA battery she did'nt and I found not very helpful. I thanked her for all her help ,and left unhappy with her answers, at home I looked up at Batteries Plus web site and it showed they do carry the batteries I was looking for , not a friendly place"

Poor service.

"Prepaid a backup battery online to pick up at store. Store was crowded and the line was not moving. Came back an hour later and the counter people were servicing items as customers wait. No one to check out customers who do not require service. Spent a half hour in store for a prepaid item. Less stress, lower price to order on Amazon or Walmart."

Replacement Screen Broke Twice

"I brought my iphone in for a screen repair on May 13, 2018. The colors were faded but I was willing to live with it, but then on May 17 the inside of my screen cracked. I took it back to the store where it happened and they replaced it no problem. This screen had no issues with the color but kinda seemed to my phone act funny. Again nothing I couldn't live with so I chose to not mention the issue. Well on May 23 the screen broke again by my reciver speaker. I took it back to the store and she referred me to her boss. I drove 45 mins to see this man and he told me that my screen broke due to an impact, a hard impact, as a matter of fact, he then told me he was not gonna replace the screen. Now seems how they wouldn't fix my screen the issues are getting worse and anytime I am on the internet or doing anything on my phone I push a ton of buttons and my phone goes crazy. The screen where it was broken by the speaker has chunks of glass falling out now and the digital screen is starting to bleed through and now I am going to have to get a whole new phone. This place takes no responsibility for their wrongdoings and now I am out the cost of sctreen plus a new phone. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE HERE!!!!"

Defective Duracell Ultra Gold 78 battery.

"I purchased it on Nov. 5th , 2016 and it had a weird failure where when I tried to start my Buick (after having driven it a day earlier) it did not even try to start, just made a noise and all the instruments and dash lights went crazy. I tried to charge it but it maxed out the charger and never went down. I brought it back to the Batteries+Bulbs on 3330 N. 5th St. Highway with the original receipt, and explained to the manager the symptoms but he said it just needed a charge! No way! He said come back in a couple hours after it is charged. Sorry, I know a bad battery when I see it! I bought a new battery at WalMart and all is OK now. I and many friends and family will NEVER GO BACK to that store. "

Dear Sir or Madam:
I had a cell phone battery go bad and when I purchased it I was told it had a lifetime warranty and after 10 months it went bad. I returned it in order for them to honor the Lifetime warranty and receive a to the store of original purchase for a new the Battery + Bulbs store in Webster Texas store # 834 The original sales person was very helpful at first, he tested it, and said it was bad, and started to replace it, and then the store manager Ms. Joanna Guzman who was full of tattoos and rude stated she needed to keep my battery it for 12 to sixteen hours to see if they could test it more and fix it.
I then called Battery + Bulbs corporate customer service department, who stated the area manager would call me in about 2 hours and yes, he returned my call and stated it was their company policy. I informed him these conditions of sale were not part of the original sales and he informed me that these conditions were noted on the battery packaging and told him the store not only did not tell me that to induce me to enter a conditional contract nor did I get the original packaging because they kept it when they replaced my original bad battery.
Sounds like a great way to add any condition to invalidate a "lifetime" warranty, fortunately we have the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Consumer Protection Act (DTPA) which is to protect consumers against false, misleading, and deceptive business practices, unconscionable actions, and breaches of warranty and to provide efficient and economical procedures to secure such protection for Breach of Warranty:
A. Express Warranty: Written or verbal warranty.
B. Fitness: Good can do what the sales person said it would do.
And I as a consumer relied on to my detriment:
A. Their advertising goods or services with intent not to sell them as advertised;
B. Misrepresenting the authority of a salesman, representative or agent to negotiate the final terms of a consumer transaction.
C. Their failure to disclose information concerning goods or services which was known at the time of the transaction if such failure to disclose such information was intended to induce the consumer into a transaction into which the consumer would not have entered had the information been disclosed

THEY BROKE MY PHONE AND REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!!

"THEY BROKE MY PHONE AND REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE HERE TO BE FIXED. They use cheap parts and staff is extremely lacking in knowledge. I did a better job replacing the screen on my iPhone 6 all by myself than they did with my iPhone SE. Now I wish I had just done the work myself.

Basically what happened was:

My phone screen broke and needed to be replaced (screen was physically cracked, I used the broken phone for 4 days before bringing it in to be fixed with absolutely no glitchiness, besides the cracked screen, every other function worked perfectly), I have never had any issues or glitchiness with this phone...that is until after these people tried to fix it. A very young male worker, took care of us on our first visit, he is the one who replaced my screen the first time. He said it would take about an hour, we waited, came back, only to be told that it was going to take longer. (It took yet another hour to be ready.) We got the phone back and as soon as we got in the car, I could tell that they used a cheap screen because the colors and brightness are WAY off, and then it just started glitching out. HUH, my phone never did that before you guys took WAY longer to fix my phone...perhaps this young incredibly green associate of yours caused damage to my phone whilst trying to fix it and because of this and the liability this entails on your end (you know, for BREAKING MY PHONE PERMANENTLY and not taking responsibility).

And you know what? After returning several times (there is a warranty, for what idk because they literally broke my phone and it didn't help me at all) and getting the screen replaced one of the workers, Joe, had the audacity to tell us "maybe it's time to get a new phone"...

JOE my phone is only one year old and YOU GUYS BROKE IT so maybe take a step back and reminisce on that little factoid.

To sum up how it all played out:

We kept coming back until they would actually do something about it. They replaced the screen 3 times, Hot Head Joe was going to put our old broken screen back on during our 3rd visit (after he got fed up with having to work with us on the issue that THEY CAUSED in the first place), we waited for it to be done only to come back to Joe telling us that they apparently "don't have the broken screen anymore so I just replaced it with another screen".

None of the replacement screens were of good quality and my phone is still glitching out.

We did get a refund for the $90 we spent on their service, not sure how I'm going to get a new phone with $90 but I do know that I'm NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN AND NEITHER IS ANYONE I KNOW NOR ANYONE ELSE I CAN TELL TO SAVE THEM FROM THE HASSLE OF USING THIS FACADE OF A PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS.

*UPDATE* From the time I first wrote this review, the quality of my phone has gone even further downhill, drastically. There are lines through the screen, its still glitching out but even more now so, I can't even write a text without my phone either not responding to touch or freaking out and typing a bunch of stuff I didn't even write. I am so livid. Not only does the quality of the screen **** (cheap cheap cheap) but my phone is completely unusable now and I need to use it on a daily basis for work! Now my ability to do my job correctly is being impeded because this company broke my phone and never owned up to it. Do not ever take your phone here. They are unprofessional, do not know what they are doing, use cheap parts, and literally don't care about the customer. I'm taking this to as high in the chain of authority as I can because this is ridiculous. You BROKE my smart phone and you guys literally don't care! I cannot believe you guys are still in business, stick to batteries and bulbs, stop pretending to be a professional Phone repair business!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE HERE!

Update: Batteries + Bulbs has still been no help and I am still livid that they completely broke my phone and tried to sweep it under the rug. The usability of my phone has gone downhill even more (didn't think that was possible but here we are). Someone from customer service sent me an elusive message to contact the store manager (a man apparently, all of the managers we talked to there were women, so I'm 100% confused about who is actually in charge). These people really take you through the ringer, no one deserves this kind of disservice, especially paying customers who trusted you. So unless someone contacts me and offers to buy me a new phone or reimburse the complete value of my phone, then we're at a standstill. You guys need to learn better business practices and actually value your customers, treat them with some respect. We were so understanding and patient every time we came in only to have Hot Head Joe greet us with anger and annoyance (why so annoyed joe? Because you have to do your job??) Also the BBB needs to be notified about your bad business practices so we'll see how that goes too.
