no satisfaction

"i had 2 of my sons phones repaired, replace screens. that worked fine, then went back when 1 son cracked screen again, this did not go well ! The store replaced again for which i paid for,2weeks later it went dead. took to store and they said they would take care of it and did for few days. Then phone got extremely hot and went dead, was told by store when i returned it again, that screw was loose inside and shorted something. again they gave it back saying it was repaired. within a week it went dead again.By this time i'm getting flak from store employees. The manager then put a new battery in it, it worked then. I informed manager that this would be last time i would let them do anything with that phone. Two days later over holiday weekend it went dead again. I called store to find out when manager would be in and was told monday, went that afternoon and no manager and associate present started to tell me that it was dead battery. This person was aware of problems i had been having and i tood him give me my phone back and i will contact manager. was treated very rudely. called again tuesday morning and was told i had to call HIS vendor to take care of it. Do you believe that !! then was told he wont do anything to resolve my troubles. i have a call into corporate now,we will see what happens ! Highly Dissatisfied !!"

They do not honor or warranty products!!! Even though the signs on website and at stores state 100% Guarantee

"Went in to the store 12845 W Bell Road Surprise, AZ 85378Surprise. These guys do not warranty their products. I bought a battery for a key fob, not big expensive item. However after a week it started failing, so I took it in to the store where they checked it and sure enough the battery was low. I just figured they would replace it. Wrong they said they do not warranty this however we can up-sell you to this one for 5 times the cost of the one you bought and the new one we guarantee for life. What about your adds that state 100% satisfaction guaranteed!!!! They have no customer care, and talk to you like a piece of crap. Expensive, or inexpensive they don't honor their satisfaction guarantee!! What I think the they do is put a known low battery in knowing you will be back and then they up-sell you. These batteries will normally last about 3 years."

They do not honor warranty. Ever.

"I bought a Duracell battery for my Miata on 4/22/17. The battery died 3 months later and would not charge. I returned the battery and was told they couldn't honor the warranty because the battery had been drained too much. They insisted my car was too blame. The old drunk looking dude at the counter was a complete ****. This battery was defective. I'm out 135 bucks. The corporation plays the franchise game and they both pass the buck back and forth for an effective run around. I've decided to go after them. From what I've found so far, there are not a lot of good things to say. I'm hoping I can change that. "

Poor Quality Batteries

"My Samsung Galaxy phone battery was running out of juice after 2 hours. I looked online and saw that Ebay and Amazon were flooded with "original batteries" for 6-10 dollars. I figured they were probably fakes. So I went to Batteries Plus and paid $40 for a battery. Big mistake! 4 weeks later it only lasts 2 1/2 hours. What a waste. Just buy the cheaper ones online and skip this place. They sell low quality at high prices. I got ripped off. They will only replace it with another piece of garbage. You'll never see your money again. They truly are a poor business model with relabled Chinese junk. Skip them at all costs."

camera battery

"We took an older digial camera there, the battery would not charge. They ordered a new battery & called us as soon as it came in (maybe 3-5 days). We picked it up, tech unwrapped it and put in camera to make sure it worked! It did. Great service. Also outfitted my tiny book night light with a teeny bulb that probably no other store (or online) would have had!!!! This was our third time there for other issues & have always been treated quickly & efficiently & fair prices!!! Also bought a great little tool in the "compulsive buyer" bin!! But it is a great stocking stuffer, eventually."

Worse than horrible!

"I brought my iPhone in to be repaired. It had a cracked screen. It took forever to be checked in and get a time to pick up. I even made an appointment online. They told me it would be ready in two hours. We went back to pick it up. I sent my son in to get it and pay. We were halfway home when he noticed the silence/ringer button was loose and would not stay in place. It was broken. I was furious. We left and were already twenty minutes away. I called batteries plus and talked to the manager. he said no problem just bring it in and we will fix it at no charge!!
We bring it in the next morning and leave it again for two hours. My son picks it up only to be told they don't have the part in stock and if they did they would charge us $100 to fix it.
I call the manager again and he is instantly defensive and hard to talk to. He says he is not responsible for any damage during repairs and he's not going to repair it. I cannot believe this!!! They are charging another $100 for there own mistakes? I ask him for his bosses number and name and he starts yelling at me. I told him I do not want to talk to him any longer. All I want is the name and number. He continues to say horrible things to me. He then gives me a bogus number and refuses to give me a name. Completely worthless and scam artists. I have talked to other people and hear this is common practice there!!! Scam artists and thiefs!!!

You lost a lifetime customer

"I was stranded in the middle of lake Michigan, because of a malfunctioning wave runner battery. I ended up attaching jumper cables to the battery with an external battery pack & was able to get the wave runner into the marina. I Called the Yamaha dealership and they agreed it sounded strange & that I should bring it in. I was expecting to need to replace the alternator, but after about 30 minutes of trouble shooting it became apparent that the battery voltage was fluctuating under load & causing the machine to idle poorly & consistently stop.
Yamaha put in a new battery & the machine runs perfectly again.
So I decided to stop by Batteries plus, pass on the news and see if I could get a refund for the battery.
I was told no because the battery seemed fine according to their diagnostic tools. I explained the problem and how it was resolved by the Yamaha mechanics, but the employee wasn't hearing it.
So I said no problem, your just following the rules of the company (good job). I'll call Batteries Plus Headquarters and let them know the issue. I was sure this was going to be a quick conversation resulting in a refund or replacement.
I was shocked when the lady told me no, I can't give you a refund for a perfectly fine battery.

At this point I give up, it was no longer about the $100 battery. I've decided never to shop with this company again & share this story with others to help them decide when making purchasing decisions.

Batteries Plus Breaks my Phone, Calls me Liar

"I took my phone to Batteries Plus for a screen replacement. They were the only shop in town that had the item in stock, luckily for them. I normally try to go local as opposed to chain stores.

Despite making an appointment for 5:30, giving them well over the hour they need for the screen repair, they informed me that it wouldn't be ready until the next day.

This was slightly irritating, because the tech, while helping me, and having a conversation with his coworker at the same time, told him,in front of my face he was playing a cell phone game in the back.

When I go to pick up my phone the next day, I see that the home button is not properly seated. I say something to the rep, and he assures me that this is completely normal.

I bought a two-piece case that same day, and went on my way.
EXACTLY 2 Weeks Later, I was watering plants in my garden, when I take my phone out of my pocket and realize the screen is cracked. There is hair line crack going from the top-right of my screen, all the way to my home button. I called the store to see if maybe this is something that happens, because I am 100% sure that I did not Shock the phone or drop it in anyway. The employee on the phone listens to my situation, and tells me they may be able to warranty it, let me reiterate, I told him the screen was cracked.

When I get to the store and tell them my situation there, the rep takes a look at my phone, points at where the cracks meet up and tells me that it is an impact mark from where I dropped it.
I assure the rep that I did not drop the phone, or damage it in any way. That the screen just cracked in my pocket, and that it must be defective in some way.

He proceeds to tell me that because of the crack in the screen and the "impact mark" that they will not cover it under warranty and it is my fault.

Two days later I am talking with some repair techs that I know, and one of them tells me that I should take off my case and look at the scene where the screen and frame meet. Lo and behold it is Lifting Up out of the frame, and that is the reason the screen broke from the minimal force in my pocket.

I cannot believe the attitudes of the employees in that store. Making up reasons to not warranty your work is the worst kind of business.

I hope that when you read this you take your time to check your other options, and don't forget to ask the sales Tech who is repairing your screen, what kind of screen goes in it.

Batteries Plus does not use real Samsung screens. They told me they use new off-brand " OEM" screens. Based on my research this could mean anything from an $8 screen on upwards.

This company deserves to be charged with fraud and put out of business, the warranty and terms and conditions paperwork State nothing about a cracked screen within the 6 month warranty, ESPECIALLY with no other signs of damage. not to mention, it states that the warranty covers "reasonable normal use".

I believe I'm covered under both the parts and workmanship part of the warranty, yet I am still out $150.

Please think carefully and do your research before you get your phone repaired. This industry is unregulated and there are tons of scammy shops out there. Batteries Plus being one of them.

Broke my daughter iPhone

"My daughters iPhone screen was cracked. Took it here to get the screen replaced. Within 2 weeks the phone has officially crapped the bed. Apple said batteries plus damaged the inside so now Apple can't replace it. Brought it back to batteries plus they told us bring it to gadget tech. Now gadget tech is saying it's completely messed up and no one wants to replace the phone so now my daughter has no phone and to replace it will cost $500 and I'm still paying off the $700 for the new phone. Awesome batteries plus I'm considering taking them to small claims and at this point for basically selling a us a lemon on service and we paid almost $200 for the screen to be repairer all so they could break it. Also, my 14 year old
Daughter used her bday money to pay for her broken screen. So these people can stop giving people the run around and telling them they aren't at fault when they are so much for warranty on their work. Apple even said it they damaged the phone mechanics when they replaced the screen they could tell immediately just by looking at it that it wasn't the original screen and when they got the diagnostics it showed that. Screw you batteries plus.. don't go here

Classic case of bait and switch

"We ordered a battery for laptop online to be picked up at store. I put the correct item numbers in the search and it sent me to the "correct" battery. Approximately $100. When my husband went to pick it up it was the wrong battery but they just so happened to have one that held a 50% more charge for $45.00 more dollars. We bought it because we needed it but jeez. If the clerk had been a little personable it may have made up for it a little but she wasn't and then my husband had to ask her to take the extra 4.60 off for the discount. Never again. "

Wasted MONEY

"I will not spend another dime with this company. We purchased a moped battery October 2016. We have used the moped several times since then. 9 months later, June 2017 and the battery is dead. Spoke to the store and their reply, was it must of been a bad one. We had our previous moped battery for 5 years."
