"I agree with every post here stating to "Stay Away". I feel like I'm being scammed here. I shop online all the time and have never experienced such slow and unprofessional service. The prices here were better than other sites, but I fear that I will never receive the light fixtures I ordered. They claim that they will be sent out this week and that I will receive an email with tracking information when they are sent. I will update this review to let you know if that in fact happens. I ordered more than $1000 worth of merchanside from them... I ordered from many sites for an entire house remodel. I received everything else I ordered from several other sites within a week. And, I received email updates. Now I wish I'd paid a little more and shopped elsewhere. Wish I'd seen these reviews before shopping at BathKitchenDecor!"

"Placed an order over a month ago for item listed as in stock. They charged the card immediately. However, they did not ship immediately. The confirmation said we'd get an email when it was processed. Nothing. We emailed 4 days later, and they said it would ship the following week. The "following week" was 3 weeks ago. We have emailed them repeatedly, and each time it's "should go out in a few days, and I'll give you an update tomorrow", but there's no update and it doesn't ship.. But it doesn't. Four days ago we demanded they ship it immediately or refund the charge -- or else we would dispute it. It took them two days to reply and they said they'd ship or refund the following day and follow up in the afternoon. No refund, no shipment confirmation, and no update. The item is, by the way, currently listed as in stock. Avoid like the plague. The chance at a bargain isn't worth the hassle of bad business practices. Paying a cheap price to not get anything isn't much of a bargain anyway.

Update:

Wow - a response in minutes instead of the usual days. Funny - they STILL haven't followed up on their promise from two days ago (responding two days after our query) to either cancel or ship the order: "I will either, cancel and refund or have tracking tomorrow. I have sent another email requesting an update. I will call u with that info in the afternoon."

It's backordered? That'd be news to anyone looking at the website where it currently, as of March 1, says "In Stock."

Sure, it's not your fault it's backordered - but that doesn't excuse the slow/lack of responses, the repeated false reassurances that it would ship, and the failure to cancel our order as promised on the 27th.

Since you apparently read this instead of your customer emails, please note I am requesting that you cancel the order immediately, as you promised two days ago.

"I agree with everyone else. They are so shady. Two times I ordered light fixtures from them. They charge your card right away and one month later, no merchandise. I got them eventually, but what a nightmare. Pay a little more and go elsewhere."

"Ordered a few bulbs and ignored the poor reviews. Oops. Terrible merchant. I placed the order and they immediatley charged my credit card. A week or so later, nothing. I finally started e-mailing and no response. A credit did finally show up on my credit card.

What a joke. Stay away.

"My wife placed an order with this company on 2/5/13 and have never received any email updates. We have called and emailed several times to try to even find out what was going on. No response. If something was back ordered then at least an update or response would have been nice. I do A LOT of shopping online and have never had an experience this bad.

I'm on hold with my bank to contest the charges as I write this. I don't want to entertain any offers that may be posted in response to this from this seller. They have had their chance to respond. I will not recommend this seller to anyone.

"We ordered a console table from BathKitchenDecor on December 27, 2012. After 4 weeks, we made several attempts to contact the company regarding the whereabouts of our ordered and paid for item.

After two emails and two phone calls, which are answered with "hello" and not the company name (very unprofessional), we were finally told the item had shipped January 25, 2013.

On February 11, 2013, more than two weeks later, I called BathKitchenDecor AGAIN as the table still had not arrived. The phone was answered with "hello" (again, I am thinking "did I call the correct business"?.

When I inquired as to the whereabouts of my table, I was told they did not have a purchase order or any other information on file. I was told he would need to call the company where the table was made. However, that company was on the West Coast and he would call them at noon EST and return my call that day.

Today is Friday, February 15th 2013. As of this morning I had not received the promised return call. I called BathKitchenDecor AGAIN and got an answering machine. I left a message saying if I did not get a return call today, I would be cancelling the order.

I got the return call this afternoon. Leon started the conversation with "you want to cancel your order, right?" I said, "I want to know where my table is". He said, "It hasn't shipped". I asked, "why were we told it shipped three weeks ago". He did not have an answer for this. I also asked when it was going to be shipped. To this he replied, "it is best for you to cancel the order."

I did!

This is a shady company at the least. They advertise prices that are far below their competitors in order to lure customers in. It appears they process credit card payments without intent to deliver the ordered merchandise.

Do yourself a favor and pay a competitor a higher price. You are more likely to receive what you order. And in the meantime, your credit card will not carry a charge for merchandise you will never receive!

"Stay away from this company. I ordered two lights from them and have had a horrible time getting them. After a week I still had yet to receive an email from them stating the item had shipped, even though my credit card was processed immediately. I sent them two emails, one from my hotmail, and one directly on their site on 2/2, never received a response back. Finally called after three weeks and after being on the phone for 5 minutes the guy tells me it has shipped already. Really, cause I never got one of those emails stating that it had shipped. I told him that I had already purchased the product from somewhere else and he stated that once I sent it back to them they would process the refund, but I would need to pay for the return delivery. I asked if I could get that in an email and was hung up on by the 'customer service' person on the phone, not exactly how customer service is done. I do alot of online shopping and this company goes down as one of the worst. Not worth the pain or time to save a few bucks, oh wait, I actually found the lights for 20 less at home depot. Thanks but no thanks, stay away!!

Correct, I said thank you, I said thank you. I was the one being polite, the person on the phone hung up on me after I said thank you, no response. What if I am not here when they deliver item, then I cant refuse delivery. Made even harder by the fact that I still have yet to receive an email stating when it would be delivered, or the email that asked the customer rep to send me stating all of the return protocols in an email. Oddly, the only thing you seem to respond to is when someone posts something bad about your company online.... Still waiting for email.

"AWFUL!! I have to agree with most of the reviews here-this site is a scam-BEWARE!! I ordered a ceiling fan from them because they had the best price. My credit card was charged immediately. After not heaing anything for nearly a week I called to check on my order status. I was told it wouldn't ship until the middle of the following week. I called again a few days later and was told it would ship even later. When I asked if orders always took this long I was told they take 2 weeks to PROCESS!! I then researched the company and found all these negative reviews. I called up again and spoke to Larry who told me it shouldn't take that long to ship. He put me on hold and supposedly spoke to the manufacturer. He assured me the fan was ready to ship the next day and he would provide me with a trackiing # the next day. Well, surprise I received nothing the next day. I called again and stated if I didin't receive a tracking number the following day I wanted my order cancelled. Lo and behold this morning I received an e-mail confirming the cancellation of my order-no explainaition. I'm going to check my credit card now. Stay away!!"

"These two guys Larry and Leon are morons! I placed an order in late November 2012, and was charged nearly $500. When I did not receive my order in mid December, I called them. They said it is on back order and would be shipped the first week of January 2013. After not receiving it again, I called and was told I would have it the first of February. Certainly I could have had the product way earlier from another merchant, but wanted to give them another chance. Needless to say three more conversations later and being told tomorrow, tomorrow! I canceled the order and ordered directly from the manufacture, which they told me does not have in stock. Not true, horrible customer service"

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS GUY!!! Rude, ignore your emails and phone calls to check on your status of your order and when you call to cancel your order because they ignored your emails and phone calls they tell you they will charge you a restocking fee on an item they have not even shipped to you yet. Only when you complain and say you will do a charge back with your credit card company they give you a refund and hang up on you without saying a word. They just hang up!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL...You have been warned."

"I ordered a lamp on 12/27/2012. My credit card was charged for the entire amount the same day. I received an email confirming the order and that stated "You will receive an additional email once your order has been processed." I contacted BathKitchenDecor on 1/17 to ask the status of the order since I had heard nothing. I was told that it was scheduled to ship from the supplier on 2/1/2012. I cancelled my order. I've never done business with a company that charges my credit card the day the order is placed when they know that the merchandise won't ship for 5 weeks. Most reputable companies don't charge you until they receive a notification that the item has been shipped.

Customer representative was very good and stated my credit card would be refunded in a day or two.

"I tried to order some sconces. They told me they were in stock. After two weeks they told me another week. "But I thought they were in stock". Another week goes by and then they canceled my order. Saying they could not get the product anymore. I actually called the manufacture - Visual Comfort -about this company and they told me they are not an authorized dealer. They also told me they have told them to remove their products from their web site. BathKitchenDacor.com tells me they can not get the products but it still shows they have everything in stock. I check around and they show stock on item that are back ordered that no else has. I don't get it. They did refund my money. I don't really get what this site is about but I am not sure they actually sell anything. I did order the sconces somewhere else and had it in about 4 days. Has anyone else actually received a Visual Comfort product or any other product from this site? Let me know? I guess the prices are too good to be true!"
