"Just an update. I got my money back from this company and heres how i did it... First i called my credit card company and filed a dispute. Then i contacted the Florida Attorney General. They directed me to the Hillsborough County Consumer Protection Agency. I filled out some forms and they actually contacted the company who agreed to credit the charge to my credit card. If you contact your state Attorney General's office they will direct you to the correct agency depending on where you live. Hopefully if more people complain they will be investigated more thoroughly."

"My order was placed on 14 August, and IT STILL HASN'T SHIPPED YET, but my credit card was sure charged in a hurry! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS MERCHANT. I have sent numerous emails without any response, and I have tried calling numerous times but no one ever gets on the phone. I truly believe this is/has been a "fly by night, take the customer's money" operation. I will be contacting my CC Company, the FTC, and BBB."

"I ordered some speakers on August 17 and have not received them or any response. Phone calls get a busy signal and email bounces back. I have been reading posts on this and other sites and it seems this is the same company as emscomputing.com and techsavings.com, because they have the same IP address number block. If you check those ratings, you will see this is a fraudulant company. I have called my credit card company to dispute the charge. Stay away and save yourself a lot of aggravation.
It has been one month since I placed the order and I have still not received my order. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company and my last statement shows a credit, but not because etechwarehouse issued a credit. They just ignore my emails and are still impossible to contact by phone. Definitely a fraudulant operation!

"First, let me state that I have several expectations about buying from an online company. I have not arbitrarily made these up, but have experienced them first hand from well established online equipment vendors.
I expect that the website’s stock features are 100% accurate. I don’t particularly care how many you have, just if you have one for me. I also expect that my order will he shipped within two business days of my order. An established company will ship the product the same day. The moment a tracking number is available it should be made available to the customer.
On Thursday, August 21, 2003 at 5:48 in the morning I placed an order for an Antec rack mount computer case model number 4U22ATX400. I figured that the case would be shipped the same day. My credit card was billed that day. My order status changed to “Processing.”
I ordered this computer case for my gaming server at college. I was leaving for school on September 1st and assumed 7 business days was enough time to receive my package with standard ground shipping.
Friday afternoon I gave eTechWarehouse a call. After about 10 minutes on hold I talked to a polite gentleman named Freddy. He assured me my case was “boxed and waiting at the dock for a FedEx pickup in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania”. He also said my case would ship later that day or early Monday morning. Shortly after that, my order status changed to “Order Released To Warehouse”.
By lunchtime on Monday, August 25, 2003 the case still hadn’t shipped so I gave ETechWarehouse a call. Freddy answered the phone after being on hold for only two minutes. He once again assured me the case would ship- soon. However, I would not know it because it took 1 or 2 days for the system to say indicate a package had been shipped.
On Tuesday, August 26, I called ETechWarehouse at 12:25pm, their main number ***-***-****, was busy. Therefore, I called their billing number: ***-***-****. I waited on hold for 16 minutes until I was greeted by Stephanie. She was very nice and extremely helpful. I asked her for a tracking number. She responded with, “Hmm… looks like the system is down. I have to call the distributor; can I call you back within 20 minutes?” Amazingly Stephanie did call back within 20 minutes and said, “The item has shipped and you should be receiving it today.” I asked her to email me the tracking number, which she immediately did.
Just as Stephanie had said, at 1:45pm a large FedEx truck stopped at the top of the drive and delivered one of the biggest and heaviest computer cases I had ever seen. After looking at the packaging information the item was sent by the Govlot Corporation [govlot.com] on August 25th. I hopped on the computer and my order status still reads, “Order Released To Warehouse”.
The problem with eTechWarehouse is that their actually facilities are the complete antithesis of their name. They don’t know their inventory because they don’t own a warehouse. Therefore, their stock and shipping information are actually reported by other companies. No one at their company has direct contact with the merchandise you purchase. This also creates reporting the status of your order a problem- they are relying on the other companies to provide that information as well. Their business model is not their problem, communication is. If ETechWarehouse could improve their communication with other warehouses and most importantly the customer, they would create an excellent shopping experience.

"Absolutely the worst customer service ever. Impossible to get through to anyone. 90% of the time the 800 number is busy, then when you actually do get through you're on hold indefinately or go straight to a voice mail box. Sat on hold for over an hour, left messages, sent emails to every address I can find. No responses.

If you actually want to get an order completed find a different vendor. It'll never happen with these people.

"Ordered a power supply on 8/12. Web site listed "Low Stock". Web site defines "Low Stock" as having less than 50 units available but not out of stock. Received email confirmation of order but email did not indicate stock status. Web site listed order as "processing". Called after a week of no email or online order status change. After waiting for a phone rep for 20 minutes, was told item was out of stock but shipment was expected next day and item should ship within 2 days of the shipment delivery. Checked web site to confirm stock status and it was indeed listed as "Out of Stock". Four business days later no email received and no change in the online order status. Checked stock of the item on the web site and stock was again listed as "Low Stock". Attempted to call 4 times throughout the day but phone always busy. Sent email to cancel order and now awaiting confirmation and charge to be removed from credit card. Will not do business again!"

"Do NOT buy from this company! They took 16 days just to process my order. As of writing this e-mail, my item still has not shipped! You can never get a real person on the phone - you are put on hold forever. I sent 7 e-mails demanding to know why my order had not been processed. Only one of them was replied to - after 10 days of waiting! Stay clear or you'll be sorry!"

"I ordered an Antec computer case on 8/18 hoping to get it by 8/22. I checked my order status online on 8/21 and it says that it has not shipped. I sent them an email stating that if it doesn't ship by 8/22 that I will be canceling my order. I received a reply stating:

I apologize for the delay. We have had shipping delays of approximately one week due to an increase in sales. I will see if I can get your order shipped today. We would hate to lose your business, but you can cancel your order before shipping if you wish. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you and have a great day!

I check my status on 8/23 and still says it hasn't shipped. I sent them a nasty gram to just cancel the order and I will take my business elsewhere. The money saved is not worth the headache.

"Just want to let everyone know that I rarely post comments about my purchase experience, but I'm posting this because this is the worst service I have "ever" received from an on-line retailer.

I have placed an order from etechwarehouse for a laser toner on 7/31/03, their "real time" inventory system shown there is still 41+ in stock. However, after place the order for a week, I still haven't receive my toner. I then check out my account on their website, it still shows processing. I checked my credit card and it has aready been charged (please be aware that they charge your credit card once you place the order, unlike other "responsible" company that only charge for an item "after" it's shipped). I then immediatly called etechwarehouse's support number, guess what? I waited for more than 90 minutes to speak a rep and says the item was not in stock. I asked why haven't I receive any notice of that, and why is my card being charged? They just said there is a problem with their inventory system, and they'll "promptly" give me a refund. So, the order was canceled on 8/7/03 wait for two more week, still haven't see anything being credit back to my card until 8/15/03. I email them from their website, no response for two days, I email then again on 8/18/03, guess what? no response again. I call them on 8/19/03 waited one hour again to speak to an rep and they say I need to speak to the billing department (I asked if I can speak to an manager right away since it's ridiculous to wait for another hour to speak to their billing department). They say there is no "mechanism" to transfer call that way. I just hangup the phone to wait for the credit back. Got email confirmation of they process my order cancellation and have credited my account on 8/20. Guess what? today is the 25th still haven't see anything on my account!. I email them again this morning follow is what I get:

User mailbox exceeds allowed size: ****@****

I guess I do not need to say more. Everyone please do yourself a favor, avoid buying from this company at all cost, not matter how "promising" their price is.

"I ordered a Antec Case with PSU and have yet to recieve either or get ahold of anyone either thru email, or on the phone.. I was charged for the item already. All it says on etechwarehouse site is Item Hasn't Been Shipped and Processing. I ordered Aug 13th, and as of the 22nd no word, no email.

Update.. Aug 30, finally today I get email saying it's being shipped. Although a few days ago I emailed them many times to tell them I wanted my order cancels.. seeing that I placed the order on the 13th of August, and on the 18th they charged me for it, but finally now they send it. Well all i have to say is a Day late and a dollar short, I ordered from Newegg.com and that order is on its way, they even gave me a shipping number so I know where it's at, and know that it truely is on it's way. I wouldn't be fooled by this eTechwarehouse, low prices, it's not worth it.. not worth the gamble. If I can't get them to take their $#$@#ing case back then i'm stuff with 2. I've ordered alot of stuff online but this company is one of those nightmare companies that you read about. Stay away.. it's worth paying a bit more or heck even just more to a company that is alot more likely to ship the producted. I ordered from newegg.com and next day it was shipped, and i was giving a tracking number. Better then waiting 17 days for the order to just ship.. and that's if it really has shipped.

"I placed an order for a power supply on August 13th. It's now August 21st, the credit card has been charged but the order is still in the "Processing" state. I need this power supply for a computer I'm building. I've sent 3 emails and none have been responded to. I've tried calling twice and no one has answered.

Update:
I tried calling again, this time through the customer order menu. I was put on hold and eventually was connected to one of their agents. His system for tracking orders wasn't working so he put me on hold..another 5 minutes - he came back and gave up and transferred me to their Customer Service dept. which took me right back to a voice mailbox.

Later this evening one of my emails was answered and I found out that they only have 6 of them in stock. I was told that there's a 90-95% chance that my order will be shipped tomorrow. Given what I've seen here on this site I'm kind of doubting it, but if he was indeed true it would definitely lessen the frustration I've been having with ETW.

Update 8/23
Last night I received an email saying my item left the warehouse and is enroute to a sorting facility. The website still says my item hasn't shipped wth a status of "Order Released To Warehouse". Oh well it looks like I'm finally going to get my Antec Power Supply..but at this rate I'm going to receive it 2 weeks after I placed the order!

"I placed an order for an in-stock power supply unit on August 10, 2003 and it still hasn't been shipped as of August 21st. They will not respond to emails or answer the phone. I called their 1-800 number and was on hold for 2 hours before I hung up. I had to call my credit card company to find out what could be done. Capital One started an investigation of eTechWarehouse and even notified their bank of the incident. As of this writing, nothing has changed. I will never shop there again. I will gladly go elsewhere and pay more. Stay way from eTechWarehouse. Far away.

Well I finally got my order on August 26th. It came FedEx but I chose UPS. Also it came from a company called Govlot Corporation 3820 Micro Drive in Millington TN 38053. The invoice doesn't have a price on it nor does it mention in any way eTechWarehouse. My credit card company issued a credit to me so basically I haven't even paid for my order. Can't say I'm complaining about that. Anyway, I got my power supply new in the box, but when I open it, I find that there is only 1 fan inside the PSU. The picture on the website clearly shows 2. There is no place for a 2nd fan on this PSU, so the picture on the website is wrong. Also I've discovered the same pic on other sites that claim to be an Antec SL300S PSU. Let the buyer beware. Even reliable online retailers dont give accurate info. And screw eTechWarehouse.

"I ordered quite a few monitors from several different online resellers in hopes on finding a good one to supply my business with computer parts and such. Needless to say eTechwarehouse will definitely NOT be getting my company's computer business. According to their web site (which I got to by Pricewatch) they had ground shipping, which would let the item be shipped "within 24-48 hours". Of course it is now 8 days later and my monitor is still in "processing". I've called twice now, each time waiting about 20-30 minutes to talk to a real person. Both times the customer service reps (Rudolph and Brian) ensured me my item would be shipped within a day or two. The item was coming from a warehouse within the metropolitan area that I live in. I've checked on my item everyday on their up-to-date (sarcasm) tracking on their web site and everyday it is still in "processing". I wished I had found this rating website prior to buying from them and 2 other companies. I will say that Newegg.com has now become my supplier for my company's computer needs. On Friday I am canceling my order to eTechwarehouse.

I've gone through all the responses made by abennett and I'm sure I'll get the same cut and paste response that everyone is getting.

----------UPDATE 8/22/03----------
My order was finally cancelled. I have yet to receive my credit back (5-7 business days). Strange that they can charge me instantly then wait a week to give me back my money (maybe). My company lawyer says I can claim interest from them since they are using my money to make money (interest). I will update if I ever receive my credit back on my card. BTW I am still filing with my cc just in case.

----------UPDATE 9/6/03----------
I've waited 10 business days for my refund back to my credit card. Obviously these thieves are keeping my money. I am seriously considering staking out their PO Box next time I'm in Tampa (about 2 weeks from now) and getting my money from that person, one way or another. Please e-mail the Florida State AG at ****@**** I did file with my credit card company, at least I'll get my money back from them in 35 days or so. A lot quicker than from these thieves. I wonder if they realize they could have actually made money being honest than stealing our money and risk going to jail for fraud?

Well I finally received my credit back from them to my credit card. It only took forever and me threatening legal action. I really think it took my credit card company getting envolved (THANKS PAYPAL!!!!). But I learned a hard lesson about checking companies out here before ordering. Good luck to everyone who is attempting to get their money back.

Holy Chit! Look another cut and paste response. Look below. I like the "unfortunate time for us" crap. My 5 year old could run this business legitimately better than these crooks. It only took them 2 months to respond.
