"This is the worst company I have ever done business with. I ordered on August 3, 2003 and my product has still not shipped (on August 12!!). This was supposed to a birthday present for my brother (Logitech Z-560s), but I guess it's too late for that to happen now. My product was even listed as having more than 50 in stock when I ordered it. It's still listed that way! It says on their website orders usually shipped in 1-2 days! I'll be lucky if I get my order shipped after 1-2 weeks. I even spent 30 minutes on hold on their customer service line before work, and it was never answered. This is the worst experience I've ever had."

"I ordered a linksys 8port router for $69 from them. Cheapest around. However today (August 11th, 2003) I have heard nothing about it. I called, 40 minutes on hold I was told there was a problem with my order I will be transferred to someone who can help. ANOTHER 40 minutes later I hung up. I e-mailed them and then right now I called again and have been on hold for 30 minutes! Other than this I am contacting the BBB. If I do not get my order by Friday, or a refund by the end of business today I will also call my lawyer. This company is a complete farce, It has one of the worst ratings. I will never do business with them again, and I will also make sure that no one else does either.

UPDATE:
ETW stated that they have shipped my order and I would recieve compensation for my trouble. The service rep on the phone said I would have my router on thursday, but trying to E-mail etw and my mail bounced back to me saying the user's mailbox was full. My lawyer contacted Honor Creditors Agency of Tampa, FL incase my order does not arrive by Monday. According to my Lawyer I can also claim interest, just as long as the sum does not exceed $5,000.

I E-mailed them and had a read reciept for the E-mail. Was read by a John Holland ****@****. EMS computing has a 0.71 rating for being a scam, which is also a slew of other companies. This company is a scam, and I have just called the police and the Florida Attorney General's office.

"Well, I am planning on building my own PVR and as such I have been looking around for the products that I want at the lowest price available...I ordered two Win TV PVR 350's today from eTech because they had the lowest price on Prricewatch (which they stuck to). Although I was a little wary from the way that the users on this site have described customer service, shipping, order processing etc, I decided to try this anyway for the cheap price available. I plan to update when I either recive my two 350's or when I have problems....until then

UPDATE::On Aug 27 I cancelled my order since etechwarehouse was out of stock (and I had waited 2 weeks for them to be in stock) and was told I would recieve a credit within 5-7 buisiness days. 9 buisiness days later I had to send them a letter asking why I did not recieve a credit, I got no response. On sept 16, I contacted my credit card to dispute the payment (since I cancelled my order before the merchandise even got to the etechwarehouse and becuase I had waited for much longer than 7 buisiness days for my refund). Anyway that is ongoing with my crdit card company but I did recieve another email from etechwarehouse saying essentially that they cannot continue operations and no refunds will be issued etc. etc the body can be found below.

As a final note: AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!

We have worked diligently to solve current logistical issues but
unfortunately we have not been able to find a resolution that will allow us
to solve the problems causing our current delays in both product and credit
fulfillment. We truly believed that we would always be able to find a
solution that would allow us to continue to improve our services and
provide you with quality products, at affordable prices.

At this point we advise you to take appropriate actions with your card
issuing banks to ensure that your funds are credited back to your account.
This can be done simply by calling the customer service phone number
located on the back of your credit card. Simply tell the support
representative that the company that you placed your order with was unable
to deliver goods in a timely fashion and is unable to issue credits at this
time. Since we have discontinued our relationship with credit card
processor we do not have the ability to even request a credit
authorization back to your credit card at this time.

I am deeply sorry for not being able to serve you better. Although our
intentions were always honorable and just, we still feel badly for putting
you through this ordeal. On behalf of the entire eTechWarehouse staff, I
sincerely apologize.

"What more can I say? I took a chance on this company because their price on the Logitech Z-340 speakers was so low. I ordered on 7-30, and here on the 9th of August I've got nothing. They got their money on the 2nd of August, and finally today the website shows "Order released to warehouse". Every single day since I ordered I've checked the website, and it says item "in stock", which they say means more than 50 on hand!

Obviously this company is a scam. I should've spent the extra cash and gone to Newegg. I was fooled by the fact that someone from this company at least makes a cursory attempt to address complaints on this page, but now I notice they've all got a form-letter approach to them.

Even if my speakers arrived tomorrow, I'd never buy from these guys again. Don't be fooled!

EDIT: I received my speakers today, August 14. They're in good condition, although the packing was quite poor. Overall I'm a bit more satisfied now that I got my speakers, but I'd still be leery of buying from EtechWarehouse again. Definitely not if I needed something in a hurry!

I've sent the e-mail the EtechWarehouse rep asked for below, I'll post later with details as to the promised "compensation".

"Update 8/22: I kept resending the bouncing "compensation" email that ABENNETT sends to the legions of extremely dissatisfied Etechwarehouse customers and it finally went through on 8/17. They just rewarded me with a brand-new Lexus! Just kidding folks, I have not heard a thing - nor did I expect any compensation. They did issue a credit however. I'm amazed that they're still hanging on..."

"----Update----

See their reply below? Look around on this site and you will see everyone gets the same story. I sent them an email to the address provided this AM and still have not received a reply, and still the order has not shipped. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I am disputing this with my CC company as of now. Going with someone who knows how to do business.

BUYER BEWARE! Etechwarehouse states under their Help section that they will ship the order within 24 hours of receipt of the order, (excluding weekends and National holidays). DON'T BUY IT! I placed my order on 08/01/2003 at 1:13 PM. They charged my credit card on Monday 08/04/2003 and we are now on the 4th day since my order was placed and they still have not shipped it. I began calling them on Monday and they said it would be going out that day. It never happened. I have emailed them and they do not reply to my emails. I called Tue and asked for a manager and they refused to put on on the phone. They said it would go out that day and they hung up on me before I could get a name. I then called today, and the monkey they have on the phone who claimed to be a manager (Brian) assured me that it would go out today and that he would call me back with a tracking number. He said there were no problems with my order and if it did not go out today it would go out the following day. We are now talking 4 days since my credit card was charged and they still have not shipped my product. I asked for Brian to cancel my order as I did not want to wait any longer, he hung up on me. I tried calling back and a recording tells me they were experiencing extended hold times.

If you think their rating here is bad, check them out at BBB.com. I don't even know why this people bother to business when that all of their customers appear to be unhappy. They must solely rely on new business as I doubt anyone would dare to go back to them. I bet anything the vague, good reviews on this site were done by employees.

"Ordered a Antec SLK3700 case because it was about $25.00 less than my usual place of business NewEgg.com

Ordered on a Tuesday night and received the item the following Wednesday..a bit longer than I am used to waiting for items but maybe that is the way things are outside of the world of New Egg

I did have to make several phone calls inquiring about the order and not sure if having my order "bumped" up to High Priority made a difference in the shipping.

In any event I got my stuff but not sure if I feel comfortable enough with them to place another order due to the negative comments here and on other rating sites. We'll see.

btw I did receive my item but it is still showing as not shipped on their website

"Be afraid; be very afraid of this place. I ordered a Sony VCL-HGD1758 Telephoto lens on 7/25/03 and have not received it as of 8/1/03. I know7 days is not that terribly long, but my order says it is still processing and my credit card was charged immediately. I haven’t got any emails other than an order confirmation. When I check the stock on this item via their website it says either low stock (same as when I ordered) or in stock. So has it been backordered or what, who knows. Nobody at eTechWarehouse will pick up the phone or answer my email so I can find out. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with an online retailer. It looks like I will have to hand it over to my credit card company if my order doesn’t show up real soon. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. Stay away from these jokers!

UPDATE: 8-04-03
I finally talked to a person at eTechWarehouse this morning that told me that my order was accidentally sent to a warehouse that was out of stock. She told me that she would correct the mistake and set my order to high priority and it would be shipped out within 24 hours. Just for the heck of it, I checked the stock on this item and it says in stock. So, hopefully this was just a legit mistake and I will receive my order shortly. Hopefully my next update will be a happy one!

"Called before ordering since item was high priority; was assured item was in stock and could ship within 24-48 hrs.

24hrs later, product not shipped.
48hrs later, product not shipped.
72hrs later, product not shipped.
96hrs later, product not shipped.

Each time I was called, I was assured the item was on "high priority" and would be shipped ASAP. Customer service could do nothing for me other than assure me that the product would ship. Customer service told me there was "nothing they could do", and could not connect me with anyone that could.
