"THESE GUYS ARE A SCAM NOW. If they were a legitimate business before they sure as HELL AREN't ANYMORE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I ordered some JBL creature speakers since these guys had a good deal going on. It's been several weeks and it's still in processing AND I've cancelled over 3 TIMES with NO REFUND TO MY CREDIT CARD. You can bet your ass i'm going right to BBB to report fraud after this. I can basically kiss that $100 goodbye but I will go to no end to make sure these guys suffer the worst possible consequences for doing so. "

"DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.! YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY!!!!!
This kind of business should be eliminated from the Internet.
I ordered on August 7th, they took the money out on August 18th, I canceled the order on August 27th, after realizing that the part will never come, and today-Sept.10th,- they still have not refunded the money. Looks like I am going to make a trip to Tampa, to close down this business.
I will update when they will respond.

"Do not buy from them. It had been two weeks since I placed my order for two scanners and they still hadn't been shipped yet! But of course the credit card was charged. I called and cancelled my order today. I sure hope to see my money back.

It's now been over ten days since my order was canceled and there is STILL no refund.

"Ordered Altec Lansing 5100 5.1 Speakers. No shipment for 4 days. CC was charged. I cancelled order and still have had no credit or response. Very hard to contact via 800#. Would be very cautious with these folks. Still waiting for my refund Sept 6."

"After waiting 3 full days for my item to ship, I called them. It took 3 tries averaging 30 minutes each and them dropping the call after the long wait. When I did get a person to answer, he couldn't even guess how long it would be until my product shipped. He said they hadn't caught up to that order day yet. Wow, after 3 days?! I cancelled my order on the night of 8-21-03 which was charged to my card the day after. I have been trying ever since to get my money back on my card. It is now 9-5-03 and they still won't respond to e-mail even after trying all departments,so I think I am screwed. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Do not trust these thieves! "

"Placed order on the 26th. Today's September 5, and the item still hasn't been shipped. That's a week and a half. This is absurd and ridiculous. I want to request an RMA, but, after hearing the horror stories from you guys about how they don't refund your money, I think I might be better off just waiting it out. I called multiple times, waited for at least 1/2 an hour each time and was still unable to reach a live person. Ugh. Worst experience ever. "

"This is truly ridiculous. I ordered on 8/14, and then canceled on 8/19 because I found I didn not need the item. That was 8/19. Right now, it is 9/3. I recieved a confirmation of RMA shortly after I canceled my order, but as of today, still no credit has been issued and no further communications has transpired. This is two weeks. Two weeks and I still have not gotten my money back. I sat on hold for an hour and a half before I had to give up and go to class. No other company has ever treated me so disrespectfully before. I intend to never purchase from this company again, and also to blacklist this company at my job (I work in network support for a major research university) so all 19,000 people who study, work, and teach for this school will know to avoid eTechWarehouse at all costs. Waiting 14 days for a simple refund is unacceptable, and if the credit is not issued immediately, I intend to contact the FTC and the BBB.

"I canceled this order on 9/2/03. My credit card was charged after the order was canceled. Two e-mails have not been answered. Impossible to reach via telephone. Left a phone message but not called back. These folks seem to be running some sort of scam. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

"FRAUDS. Ordered on 8/25 and charged on 8/26. Item not shipped. Their own terms and conditions say they can ship in stock items right away and delays due to "promotions" would be a 24 hour delay at worst. As of 9/2/2003, nothing shipped and the only status email from them has been, "we're sorry for the delay..."

Learn from the rest of us, don't order from these frauds. I ordered specifically AFTER reading their terms and conditions. By not operating in a manner consistent with these terms they are DECEPTIVE and should be prosecuted.

I have already contacted the Florida State Attorney General, Pricewatch, and will contact the BBB. I recommend EVERYONE send an email to the Florida State AG at ****@****. Let's put these people out of business and hopefully behind bars.

UPDATE:
They DO hold credits back and they do NOT ship merchandise. They're idea of crediting your account is essentially waiting for you to dispute the charge with your credit card company (your legal right) and having the credit card company do a chargeback. (Giving you a temporary credit while they investigate and then getting the money back from the retailer, i.e., no charge to you.)

I have a funny feeling all the Florida AG complaints in addition to the BBB complaints got their attention (jail time tends to do that.) And now their "pat" apology answers here are nothing more than their lawyer telling them to cover their a$$es where they can.

I believe a class action suit is warranted but consumer protection laws in Florida should address this if the state AG would actually do it. I received a follow up letter from the AG confirming my "credit" and confirming their investigation into the matter.

Just look at their answers here... it took them 6 weeks to respond to the information I posted. And it appears they "mass posted" their canned responses on certain days.

"first, credit card was charged IMMEDIATELY after "purchase." i called to cancel since their extended delay (while showing item in stock) caused me to lose out on a mail in rebate. put on hold for OVER AN HOUR before i gave up. emailed them with no response. put in an automated request for an RMA cancellation number, that went through. however, my acct still shows up as being in the process of crediting my credit card, AFTER TWO WEEKS. apparently, they can sure charge your card in a hurry, but take forever to give your money back. filed a complaint and request for credit with my credit card company. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE!DO NOT LET THE CHEAP PRICE FOOL YOU!"

"Ordered 8/8, CC charged 8/9. No product on 8/18. Sent email to all known addresses. Two bounced. No response. Sent cancellation notice 8/30 via on-site RMA and confirmed with followup email again to all listed addresses. RMA confirmation was automatically confirmed so I know they have it. I am contacting my CC company to inform them and retract the charge. Very poor service. No excuse! I would not recommend them as a supplier."

"I placed an order on 8/15/03 on 8/18/03 my card was charged, on 8/25/03 I sent the company email inquiring about my order after checking their website and finding out it had not shipped yet, they have not responded to the email. I have since then sent 3 more emails which the have not responded to. I have called them and received no answer. (I called from my cell phone and hung up after 47 minutes, the only time I called and didn't get a busy signal or a recording sending me to voice mail). All toll I have sent them 4 emails, the last two asking for them to cancel the order and refund my money, with no reply and I have called them numerous times without reaching anyone. Save yourself some money and grief, don't order from them
After sending them 4 email asking them to Cancel my order and refund my money I recieved this email from them:
