Unreasonable Customer service Approach

"My friend that stays at our home during nights while we are in Punta Cana informed me yesterday that we received a UPS delivery notice for the package that requires a signature of an adult. Knowing she is unable to be at home during delivery hours plus knowing that UPS must attempt 2 or 3 times to deliver the package I made an international call and request to postpone the delivery of the package until Monday since we are away until Friday night. I was informed that I must paid for delivery on this day. Why? I asked do not try to deliver tomorrow or Friday as UPS plan, just deliver on the first business day of next week. Apparently, for some reason, this can not be arranged for free. My other option is to travel 45min one way to pick up the package from the location in MD since no UPS in DC can assist me! It does not make any sense to create such a fuzz and difficulty for a customer while few UPS locations are available in a 3 miles radiance from my home. They must send the driver during this week to try to deliver the package because the 2nd and possibly 3rd attempt is needed, however, they can not attempt to deliver the package on the day when I am back home or in the closed located UPS store. Since the UPS store in my area was not an option, I requested to postpone the delivery of the package by 3 days only. On top of it we have a holiday season. I see this action as an additional way to get revenue and create an unpleasant experience for consumers. I am so upset and shocked over the provided resolution by the UPS representative. I Do Not Understand the unwillingness to cooperate with the customer in such a situation. "

MN to IL shipment redirected to Buffalo, NY.

"UPS’s best answer is, I’m sorry. Not one step taken to rectify problem. Shipped package from MN to IL, usually takes 1 day ground. Package Was received and posted out for delivery in Illinois. Next tracking update was exit scan to Buffalo, NY. Paid extra for three day delivery now taking 6 days from date shipped. UPS said, I’m sorry. "

"I was supposed to receive a UPS 2nd Day Air shipment originally scheduled to arrive Friday 12/13. The tracking showed that the shipment on vehicle for delivery. However, the delivery never came and the tracking has changed by the end of the day to be scheduled for Saturday 2/14. On Saturday the tacking again showed "on vehicle for delivery". Then again the same BS happened. Now the tracking is showing delivery date is Monday 12/16, in addition a new line saying "delivery attempted" on Friday 12/13. I was home on both Friday and Saturday and they did not come to the house or leave a note and usually they leave my package by the door as no signature needed. So they are lying to cover their bad service."

Waited until the last minute to say my package was delayed..

"Literally waited until the last minute to say my package was delayed. And then when I called because my package requires a signature, all they could tell me is what I could already see. Wouldn’t have been if they didn’t wait until the last minute. Also the workers hardly ever scan the package in anyhow so. Practically impossible to track. Very aggravating since I called off work..."

Worst shipping company ever!!!

"If I could give a 0 I would!! My package shipped Dec 2 and has been less than 10 miles from my house since the 5th. Everyday this week it has said out for delivery and every evening at 9:45 PM it is updated to say in transit. This company is mid managed and full of excuses! How can they continue to take more packages when they can’t deliver the ones they have. They told me they did not deliver packages for 4 days due to weather. I wish I could send my package to the post office at least they care that people get their packages and deliver rain or shine. "

Customer service unbelievably awful

"
Trying to talk to a human being in customer service rather than dealing with some computer generated virtual horses behind is a tribulation worthy of a circle in hell . I truly believe UPS's whole system is designed to irritate the customer to the point of giving up in disgust so that UPS won't have to deal with the problem. Anyone with complaints about the U.S. Postal Service hasn't lived until they have had to deal with this business.

3 days for overnight

"My sister sent a package overnight delivery to me on Wednesday morning. It was to arrive Thursday by 8:00 PM. The website kept changing the time and then changed it to Friday. Today is Friday and I map tracked the package. At 8:45 PM the truck stopped and delivered a package across the street from my house and then left. I tracked it back to their warehouse. Now the delivery day has changed to tomorrow. That is 3 days not overnight. They are extremely incompetent. Why pay the ridiculously high price for overnight when it arrives (hopefully) 2 days late. If I could give negative stars I would. And to top it off to speak to an agent requires my tracking number which their idiot computer couldn't understand though I repeated it >10 times."

UNBELIVABLE

"This is the third Amazon UPS package that has been in deplorable condition. This was the worst: Package bashed in; flattened; packaging was scraped open; dirty with leaves and pine needles as if it had been scraped on the ground.
In the past, I have received packages that were sitting in a puddle. or tossed around the side of the house.
Shame on you!

Package never received

"I supposed to receive an order form Macy's which is $100 worth. Tracker says item delivered at the front door. We were waiting for the package all day at home. No one knocked our door in the apartment and never delivered package at the door. UPS customer care ****. No real rep available. I have tried couple hours to get in touch with someone. Their virtual assistant ****. Jack assssss. Never ship anything with UPS. Don't loose your money. I would give "0" review if option is given."

Unreliable and HORRIBLE Customer service

"I paid almost 100 dollar for 2nd day air to ship an important document. But not only they screwed it up because their plane need maintenance or whatever bs reason, when I called their customer service, their attitude is terrible. They don't feel sorry at all! Didn't offer refund until I asked for it, then they kept sending me to different departments, asking me to call different numbers. Nothing gets resolved! Super unorganized. They even hang up on me a few times. Unbelievable!! "

Horrible service, incompetence

"I was supposed to receive a package Weds. I was here but got a note on my door saying to sign the back for delivery. I did. On Thurs I got a second notice asking for a signature and did it again. On Fri I got a notice that they had made their final attempt to deliver. I was here all 3 days and no one knocked on the door. Even if I might have missed it, my dogs would not. Now they are escalating to the drivers manager and making me wait until Monday to get my package. They have gotten to the point where they think their size means they can offer terrible customer experiences and stay in business. - Mike Hood, Lewisville, TX"

Worst shipping company!

"I've had nothing but bad experiences with UPS. Today, I'm wasting my time tracking down a package a UPS driver decided to deliver to a completely different town, despite being given the correct address. This happened less than an hour ago, and their agent on the phone is telling me that an investigation is going to take 1-8 business days. They could easily just tell their driver to turn around and pick it back up from the incorrect address and deliver to me, yet I need to wait up to 8 days (by which time my package will likely be stolen or otherwise missing).

Previously they have charged me exorbitant brokerage fees (often 3x the actual customs charge itself). They have delivered boxes that were clearly beaten up by UPS somewhere along the way—I never have that problem with FedEx, Purolator, or Canada Post.

UPS is of the worst companies I have ever dealt with! I always ask my suppliers to never ship using UPS, unfortunately the seller of the shipment I was supposed to receive today changed to UPS at the last minute and now I get to waste my time fixing their stupid mistakes.

Worst delivery company ever

"Ups shows up at my door with a package requiring $180 in tax payments. Ups refuses to take cash so the driver leaves with my package. I call to ask where my package is going because the driver did not leave a slip. I am told there is NO WHERE at all I can pay cash to have my package released. Every other courier takes cash at my door. This is the garbage service $75usd gets a ups customer. I would never use this half assed company again and my company will no longer use ups either starting tomorrow.
Worst courier ever. Terrible customer service.

A no cash policy while your competitors are accepting cash is just a stupid policy invented by a stupid manager.
