The Customer Service Representative Called Me a B**ch

"Absolutely horrible customer service! When I recieved my package it was opened and all the contents were taken out. The delivery lady had noticed that the box was opened and said she would give us our proper package later that night. It’s been three days and the package is still missing. I contacted the supplier (who I bought from) and explained my story, and they said it is UPS’s responsibility but would look into it. I later contacted UPS to see if there was anything they could do to help. The man on the phone was very angry and told me that there was absolutely nothing he could do because it’s not their fault whatsoever. I said it could’ve potentially been an employee who’d taken it and the man on the phone called me a **** for accusing his employees of being theives! I told him that the way he was speaking to me was unacceptable and that all I was wondering if he could look into it for me. He continued to forcefully repeat the same thing over and over, telling me to contact the supplier. I continued telling him that I did, and he told me that “this is none of his business”. I then asked for his name so I can file a complaint and he said “John”. I asked if he could give me a number or any other information so that I could identify who was treating me so poorly, and he told me that he “has no reason to give me any more information”. I told him that was very unprofessional and he said he “doesn’t care” and hung up the phone.

I work in customer service and treating customers like that is the LAST thing anyone should ever do! Calling your customers a “****” and saying you “don’t care” is all I need to hear to NEVER use UPS EVER again.

This man should be fired immediately

outrageous delivery experience

"I cannot believe the terrible service I've received and the stress I've been through because of UPS. I called them on June 18 to let them know that I needed my shipment to be held and delivered after July 1st as I had not moved in yet to the delivery address (items bought on best buy that told me that I could pick any day for delivery, which was not true). Their agent tracked my shipment but told me that he could not change the delivery date at that time as the items were currently being labeled. I stressed the urgency of the situation, telling him I don't live at that place yet, and could not afford to notify them of the change too late. He told me it's never too late as the driver can be notified at any time of the change. Delivery was not scheduled until June 25-27, so I had time to call them back and make the change. Today (June 19) I received an email notification that the items had been delivered!! I totally panicked not knowing what had happened to my items. I had ordered 2 pieces of furniture, not just some small cheap item. Let me tell you what happened. The items were taken to the address where I don't live in (despite my communication with their agent less than 24h before), the current tenant not sure about what was going opened the door for them and they dumped the furniture at the lobby and then just left before he even had a chance to go downstairs and talk to them. Luckily for me he was kind enough to agree to keep the furniture in his apartment until I move in. Then the 2 of us had to transport more than 80lbs up to the 4th floor (no elevator in the building), risking to actually being injured, as the building management does not allow items left in the lobby. This is the most outrageous thing that has happened to me and I'm taking this complaint to the highest level possible as well as posting on all available forums."

Insurance is a scam

"My daughter shipped all of her belongings from TX to CO. She purchased three new boxes and packed the items as she has before. When we received the boxes, they looked like they had been crushed. A hole in one that had been taped by ups. Two were open at the seam. They blocked our stairwell. We called. We were told the extra insurance she purchased, as well as the included insurance was not valid. 1. Ups did not pack the items. 2. She did not use ups boxes. (She paid extra for insurance because of this). Now, they want pictures of the items, as they were packed, pictures of damaged items, etc. We already unpacked the boxes because stuff was falling out of the boxes. We had to unwrap breakables over the trash can because glass was falling out. Crystal figurines, ceramic, etc. Not sure how we could have done this except take a picture of the box, take one item out, unwrap it, take another picture of the box, etc., until the box was unpacked. She was not informed of any of this when she purchased the insurance. She is also missing a bag that had her jewelry. A lot of the breakables were gifts from relatives/friends no longer with us, some were handmade... this is completely crazy. She actually cried when she saw the items that were destroyed (some were so broken I could not identify them.) I sent as many pictures as I could, and they are still insisting I show the items as they were packed, which items were in which boxes, etc. I will never use ups again. They should give customers a sheet or pamphlet describing their requirements before they even accept the packages or money. Her whole life was in those boxes!"

What a Joke Company

"What a joke of a company. The driver left a note but could not be bothered to knock on the door. I was advised that I would receive same day redelivery. Then I got a phone call stating that they would not be redelivering. The representative practically accused me of lying when I advised her that my office is adjacent to the door. Refused point blank to believe that I was in office. I must admit I became extremely frustrated as I had already had to wait an additional day and now been practically accused of lying by their Vile customer service rep. Now I am left with 150 orders for customers that I cannot deliver today because of their incompetence. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY PATRONISE YOU AND TREAT YOU LIKE YOU ARE IRRELEVANT.

UPS Drivers Speed - A UPS driver killed my dog. What if that would have been a child.

"My dog, my nephew & I was sitting on our front porch. All of a sudden a UPS truck came speeding down my street. I guess because he was speeding, my dog went after the truck. Needless to say the driver rolled over my dog & killed her. Her name was Zoe & she was my best friend; a beautiful Maltese. I've been a single mom all my life & my kids are grown. I suffer with severe chronic nerve & back pain on a daily basis due to a doctor messing up on a fusion surgery about 7 years ago from someone rear ending me in a car wreck. Well getting Zoe saved my life. I was so depressed with my kids gone, my job getting harder to perform because of the pain so I got Zoe. I was finally so happy. She was my everything. It's been a month; I cry every single day. I can't get offer the loss of my dog. My girlfriend said I will never get over Zoe until I get another dog. I started looking for Maltese & other dogs, they are $650 - $1000. I don't have this kind of money so I emailed UPS to see if they would at least pay for a dog. They have millions of dollars, I don't see why they don't have the heart to help me. I got a call today on my birthday right before I was going to lunch with friends to celebrate. I had already cried this morning as I do every day & I told myself I was not going to ruin my day today as it was my birthday. About 45 minutes before I was to leave for lunch for my birthday a lady called and said she was from UPS. I told her what happened; she was so sweet, sympathetic & said she would see what she could do. All I asked is if UPS could buy me another dog. I told her the price & said I just can't afford it. I mentioned how the dog helped me with my depression because of my back & the lady truly acted as if she cared. All of a sudden some woman gets on the phone, doesn't say her name, who she is, what her position is or anything & started badgering me asking, do you have a fenced yard, was the dog on a leash, you know there are leash laws & its not our problem. She was so mean & ugly on the phone. This lady didn't have one kind bone in her body & did not sympathize with my loss at all. I knew I was getting ready to start crying frantically so I said never mind, hung up & cried. This woman (who is of different color than I) immediately heard that I wasn't the same race, got on the phone & blasted me. She treated me worse than a piece of **** on a stick. I was horrified. Needless to say I am now filing a lawsuit for discrimination. It was very evident by her conversation she wasn't going to be kind to me one bit. Shame on you who ever you are. God does not like people to be mean to others. You are suppose to love one another no matter, their race, religion or gender. "

Poor service and inconsiderate drivers

"UPS can you PLEASE get your drivers to provide a higher level of service?! Just today I placed an amazon return on my porch as I had numerous times previously (with a note clearly stating it was for UPS pickup), and happened to pull up at the same time the driver was dropping off other packages. Before I could get my THREE young children (ages 3 to 7) out of the car, the driver walks away WITHOUT taking the package and instead left the pickup label within SIX INCHES of the package he was to pick up. I attempted to get him to stop and all he did was honk and wave, then proceed to drive off as quickly as possible. Now after 20 minutes on the phone I'm faced with either paying what the return item is worth to get another pickup, or taking all three of my children to a UPS store....Also, I have all of this on video courtesy of my doorbell camera. Very poor, no, nonexistent customer service. I will be using FedEx and USPS for all my business and personal shipping needs going forward."

Poor service!

"I was waiting for a package to be delivered your driver parks on the side street comes to my building but makes no attempt to gain entry. When i have packsges coming i always put a note on the door instructing delivery drivers to bang on door to gain entry (i would have heard him banging on the door.) i was informed that my package would be delivered to a drop off point ! Really! How absurd is that pay for shipping and then have to pay to go pick it up because I DONT DRIVE! And then they had the nerve to tell me if i wanted it redelivered i would have to pay $5 more dollars to be redelivered. This place is a scam!"

"UPS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM IN THE FREIGHT INDUSTRY. THEY CHANGE YOUR ACCURATE WEIGHTS, SIZES OF YOUR CARTONS AND ANY OTHER MISCELLANEOUS CHARGES THEY WANT TO ADD TO YOUR BILL. Unprofessional and rude

"On 3/15 my item says it was delivered after contacting my mom she verified that NO package was delivered. I called ups to be told someone would call me back in a hr after two hrs I called back now they gonna do a investigation it takes 6-8 days COOL called back yesterday spoke to supervisor peter who stated he says the investigation was closed. Ha ha ha closed???? How??? Why and I still have no package???? Ups if ya know better ya would do better I want my package or my 600 dollars. Don’t play with me!!!!!!!! "

UPS DONT KNOW HOW TO READ

"After 5 hours of complain and panic..... due to the tracking number of 1 of my packages stated that the item has already been delivered at my door. I went through their vague website to file my claim, useless customer service who just told me go to their website again. A neighbor with a baby on her side waist carried my humongous packages that has been wrongly delivered at her doorstep. HEY UPS! MY LARGE FONT HOUSE # IS PLACED INFRONT CLEARLY FOR YOU TO SEE! The package indicated a correct address so there’s no excuse for you to deliver it to the wrong door!!!!!"

NEVER DEAL WITH UPS!

"1 is too generous, if I could give a zero rating, that would be more deserving of them.

I had a package measuring 32 x 17 x 4 inches. Granted, the size is a little unusual, but they said they would customize a box to fit my needs. What they did was take a larger box and stuffed my package in it, then stuffed smaller boxes and bubble wrap to fill it up. Originally weighing in at 30 pounds, the entire box now weighed 36. I not only had to pay for the extra weight, but also the packing service and the boxes (recycled btw with original packing labels from previous use).

Worse, I specifically told them NOT to deliver to the door of the house where it was destined, because there would be no one to receive it, and we didn’t want a $1500 item picked up by thieves. They reassured us repeatedly, that they would notify us when it arrived and we could have someone pick up at the nearest carrier station.

This morning, I got a UPS notification the package had arrived and it had been left outside on the doorstep! I had to call long distance to my friend who had to leave work and rush clear across town to his home to get the package.

When I complained to UPS, the supervisor said, “Oh well, at least it had arrived safely.” That’s supposed to make it better?! I will never deal with them again.

Chronically Late...or Lost

"This the eighth time that I have received multiple messages from UPS for a package delivery schedule. First an email "You are scheduled for a delivery tomorrow." This followed by a four hour time frame. Without fail, then morning of delivery, I receive another email advising that the delivery time has been "Changed." This is always, of course, after I have already made plans to be available for the delivery. Then approximately 50% of the time, I get "Your Delivery is Delayed"..due to (Fill in the blank here with whatever excuse you'd like). The reliability rate for UPS in the last year has been absolutely 0%!!! Not once has a package been delivered on time, or at the designated time. This is contrasted with a few years ago when UPS was actually a much preferred package delivery resource over all other competitors. Whaaat Happened!!! But for now, my business goes elsewhere."
