"Bait and Switch! i did not accept the order and tried to stop before it was shipped. They shipped it anyway and I refused shippment. I had to file a claim with my credit card company to get refund."

"I ordered a canon T2i at what appeared to be a wonderful price. I was then called to "confirm details" of my purchase. This really was to inform me that my purchase was of an import model and would not come with battery, charger, English manual etc. They then attempted to sell me the American version at a much higher price along with accessories at 3x prices in other stores. Classic bait n switch. Well I did not switch...and suddenly the camera which they show on their website as
"Availability: Usually Ships in 1 to 2 Business Days" Is backordered for me. When I called customer service they told me it would be at least a month before I see the camera. They really only want to suck you in with a great price and then sell you a bunch of other things at 3x normal prices. If you don't go for it they don't want to fulfill your order.

"I purchased a canon T2i package. They called to confirm, The gentleman was extremely helpful in changing my order to help me fill my needs. I wanted to film sports football, baseball. what I had purchased online wouldn't have filled my needs. Excellent service fast shipping! However when I received the package I was missing a 4GB Professional ultra-high speed memory card. I called and they were Very helpfull and said they would send it out. After I got off the phone I realized that I was also missing a lens cleaning kit, and screen protectors. I called back and they were closed. Will call back on sunday. Will update this after talking to them."

"I wrote an earlier review just after ordering, but before I had received the camera and lenses. They recently arrived, and I am very happy with both lenses and the camera. I have taken only a few pictures, but the OS stabilization is quite a help in getting a quality shot zoomed-in while hand holding the camera. One item--a card reader-was not shipped, but when I called, Andy had it taken care of in less than two minutes. I would recommend this business and Andy to other potential buyers."

" My first impression of Thunder Cameras was very positive - excellent prices, friendly staff, etc. However, this impression was soon disabused as I wound up waiting week after week for delivery. It turns out that in may anticipation of a camera at such a good price, I hadn't noted that this was the "import" model, which comes with fewer amenities and requires a much longer wait. Unfortunately, I was not informed of this vital difference by the initial sales person, or in the two ensuing calls I made to question the delay.
In the end, tho, I spoke with Andy at Thunder, who wised me up to the "import" status of this model. I wound up changing my order to the domestic model, and from this point on, the order was completed in a timely, efficient manner.
I will consider doing further business with Thunder, as well as being willing to advise friends to check out their site, but with the knowledge that I need to thoroughly check all the "fine print" of the deal from the beginning.

"My initial contact with Thunder Camera was for the purchase of a Canon 5d mark2 at a great price. Everything looked good in the description so I ordered the camera. When I received the confirmation phone call I was informed the camera was an import model. I returned to the website to review the camera listing again. I referenced the order I printed when I made the purchase to verify the description. The description does not list anything about the camera being an import model without a warrantee.

I am only interested in making a purchase if the product is as described. If you cannot fill the order as described then it your obligation to cancel the order. It is not my error in ordering, rather it is your error with the description.

Furthermore, I personally spoke to Josh in customer service twice and said not to charge or ship anything. He said he was going to charge my credit card with a 7% cancellation fee. Following that discussion I have received a confirmation for a revised order for two batteries in the amount of $249.00 charged to my Visa and shipping confirmation. WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS DO YOU RUN?
I did not order batteries nor did I confirm such an order. I do not need batteries for a camera I did not get to purchase.

This unfortunate experience is what makes the difference between a legitimate company and the illegitimate. Customer service is what builds success. NOT DISHONESTY (ripping people off!)

If you do not reverse the charges on my visa card, rma the package you sent without my confirmation, I will exhaust my marketing skills to write reviews on every review site and search engine, youtube editorials, facebook, webs searches that will expose Thunder camera sales bait tactics and the dishonest customer service you have served me. I will be contacting VISA to dispute the charge and BBB at my first convenience. Again, I urge you to undo what you have done with this order.

In Conclusion, It would have been nice if you had filled the order as described and gained my business, I almost ordered a Canon HD xh-a1 camcorder with the camera order, however I wanted to see how well the first deal completed. Good thing!

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!!
I had ordered"Nikon" products for over 3000$ worth and received accessories like gribs, speedflash, mem cards from third party manufacturers. Some of the items were missing. Shipping/customs rates were given incorrectly.
It's a nightmare to get through to customer service.
When I complained about it here, I received emails and calls (josh) to please remove the review and I was offered a extended warranty. Now, six months later, I have an issue with one of the cameras and NOBODY is getting back to my emails. I have still yet to receive documents about the warranty and the 100$ they still owe me. I was misinformed and pressured by their salesperson. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. BUY LOCALLY AND STAY AWAY from this dirty player!!!

"Making a purchase from Thundercameras.com has been one of the best decisions I've ever made when it comes to upgrading my professional photographic equipment. The sales representative was extremely knowledgable about the product, really friendly and very helpful. Without a doubt, their prices are absolutely the best on the net. "Via telephone I ordered a Canon 50D body only for the quoted price of $749.00. I asked the sales person if there were any other charges and he told me that there are not. I received an e-mail confirmation of the order. A couple of day later I received another e-mail stating that the order was shipped but there was an addition charge of $67.41 for shipping insurance. The salesperson never told me about that additional charge. I spoke to customer service and subsequently the manager who refused to honor the original stated price. I cancelled the order.

In an e-mail confirming my cancellation they stated that my credit card was not charged. It was and I instituted a chargeback with VISA.

Avoid this seller.

"THE ONLINE ORDERING PROCESS WAS VERY EASY. I WAS CONTACTED BY A SALESREP TO GO OVER MY ORDER. HE ADVISED ME THAT I WAS ORDERING A LENS THAT WAS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MY NIKON D5000. i APPRECIATED THIS SINCE IT DID SAVE DISAPPOINTMENT AND THE HASSLE OF A RETURN. HE REFERED ME TO A NIKON OR A SIGMA LENS. ON HIS RECOMENDATION I TRADED UP TO THE SIGMA LENSE. HE OFFERED IT AT $189, A GOOD PRICE, BUT NOT THE BEST PRICE OUT THERE. HE TOLD ME IT WOULD COME WITH A SOFT CASE WHICH IT DID NOT. HE SAID HE WOULD EXPEDITE THE SHIPPING, WHICH HE DID AND IT ARRIVED ON 9/30. AFTER COMMITTING TO THE SIGMA LENS, I DID HAVE SOME APPREHENSION, THINKING I SHOULD HAVE WENT WITH THE NIKON. AFTER RECIEVING THE SIGMA AND USING IT, I'M VERY HAPPY WITH MY CHOICE. "I was apprehensive about ordering a big ticket item online. The company is in NY and I am in Chicago. Sure enough the item came and one of the parts, a camera bag was not up to par. I called the company. Customer service was so helpful, they sent out another bag. After waiting several weeks and not receiving it. I again called customer service. They told me the bag had been delivered on 9/1/2010 and that I had signed for it. After getting my tracking number and checking with UPS, I was told the same thing. I had not signed for anything and also I was at work at 3:00 in the afternoon. I called Thunder Camera back and told them they had to call UPS to initiate a tracer on the package. I spoke to Andy who stated he would send out another camera bag. I am just so thrilled and happy at the excellent customer service I have received. Can you imagine sending out the merchandise twice. Each time they wanted to make sure I was happy. The last time Andy said, he didn't want me to have to wait on the results of an investigation and be further inconvenienced. He was so sorry that it had even taken this long. I can truly say this is one of the best experiences with receiving excellent customer service that I have ever had. The company has gone above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and happy. Their slogan of :Your satisfaction is our guarantee" is true. I would certainly rate Thunder Camera 5 stars. I will also purchase from them again. By the way, so as not to take any chances this time, Andy agreed to send the package to my place of employment. Thank you Thunder Cameras, Thank you Andy.
