Shady shipping

"We own a number of restaurants and for many years have purchased our glassware and many small wares from Webstaurant.. Recently, our glass orders have been coming in with a percentage of the glasses broken and have not been labeled fragile on the box. I strongly urge Webstaurant to increase your shipping standards. I addressed the issue on live chat, and the person on the chat could not have been less interested in hearing my opinion
Overall I am very happy with your selection however, as an online company, I think you could improve your shipping

No offer to replace item damaged from their cut rate shipper

"Item arrived damage and webstaurantstore.com wouldn't offer to replace the item. This happens when using cut rate shipping services like FedEx. I was offered a 20% refund and countered with a 30% which was accepted by their representative. After the agent agreed to refund me 30% I was only sent a refund of the lower amount of 20%. I do not recommend this vendor as they're unwilling to stand behind their product when it's damaged by their shipper. I recommend and use UPS for my business as the workforce is compensated more favorably which results in a better shipping & handling experience. "

Customer services contact me, and they will replace the equipment. I change the review for 4 stars from 1 star just because the shipping wait again will be extended for my production.

"Webrestaurantstore has best selection on the web, in saying that they should realize they are dealing with business owners who are savvy to what there real costs are for shipping. Using shipping as a source of addition revenue build resentment and hurts sales and relationship building. webrestaurantstore needs to find more honest and transparent sources of revenue or they will never reach there full potential. "
