"There is some ultra-cheap stuff to stay away from, but on branded items the prices are usually good, although some things are occasionally higher than other sites. Refurbished items do come in "definitely used" condition, but it has always been disclosed in the description. Shipping has always been faster than advertised although it costs more than it should. I've never had to contact support (which is a good thing...) so I cannot comment on it."

"The prices and shipping were what I expected but the items did not ship in a timely manner. They do not have a phone number to contact them if there are issues with the order, only a FAX or E-mail. My order arrived almost 30 days after I made the order and the hard drives were not in the order (I was not charged) and were not backordered. Everything else I ordered was in good condition as I expected. I will order again when they assure me that my order will be shipped in a timely manner. I did leave permission to partial ship what is available and wait to ship the rest later."

"I buy from Surplus Computers all the time, They just reduced shipping to $4.75 per shipment, so I won't complain about that...They don't offer a phone number so you can talk to a real person, so that is a bummer...I have gotten DOA servers from them but they replaced them without hassle (all had to be done via email, but there response times were reasonable). 95% of the item are priced EXCELLENT...the other 5% you can find cheaper elsewhere, but I think that is a pretty good ratio. Over all, I give them 2 thumbs up...it they have something you want, you can buy with confidence.

"Surplus Computers has very good prices on a large variety of products. I check there often and find things I need. Their shipping runs on the high side compared to other sites I buy from, and they are sometimes not prompt notifying you of back ordered/out of stock items. Besides those issues, I will continue to buy from them and still recommend the site.

"I have ordered a number of things from Surplus Computers over the years. Everything has been delivered quickly and on time, as was the Furminator in my most recent order. Everything was as described. I do recall that I once ordered a remaindered computer part for an old computer which didn't work, and Surplus Computer permitted me to return it, even though it was weeks after the agreed-upon return time had expired.

My only criticism of the company is that when an item is not listed as "free shipping," the cost of shipping is often so prohibitive as to make what appears a good deal not to be one. I can understand this when the item is a computer or monitor, but when it is a small part which can be put into a bubble envelope and mailed for less than a couple of dollars, charging ten dollars or more is ridiculous."

So when I saw the add for this laptop for such a low cost I was skeptical. But having dealt with Surplus Computers before I knew I would get nothing less than advertised.
