"ABSOLUTELY NO REDEEMING QUALITIES WHATSOEVER about this company.

I have placed two orders with this company, one back in October 2009 for a 2.2ghz P4 processor and some memory for a customer's computer. Upon arrival, unpacked the order, the P4 had 6 bent pins. If I hadn't needed to get this computer finished, I'd have sent the P4 back for replacement, but I very carefully bent the pins back into position and was able to use it. I swore that was the last time I would deal with StarMicro, but in March, 2010 I decided (foolishly) that everyone deserves a second chance, and I placed another order for a 2.4ghz AMD processor (Socket 754) and some memory. The order arrived, I unpacked the processor, immediately discovered it was a Socket 939 processor. I was so mad I was ready to chew nails!!! This processor was for my wife's computer, it was the final upgrade for her PC. I got ahold of Star Micro by phone, could barely understand the customer service personnel (from south of the border), was told to email them for an RMA, I sent the incorrect processor back to them with a plea to send the right processor. They told me that they had checked with their inventory and discovered this processor was on backorder. I told them it was in stock and available for purchase when I ordered it! Told them I expected them to SEND ME THE PROCESSOR I ORDERED!!!

Today (April 1st) I received a refund for the processor, I guess I should be thankful for small favors, but I will NEVER order from this company again and I recommend that you don't either. There are absolutely NO redeeming qualities whatsoever about this company. -kd5-"
