"The best online buying experience I've had and I've had a lot of them. I emailed StarMicro that I wanted to pay shipping for priority mail because I need the processor like yesterday. They answered my email in short order and stated my order was ready for shipping (that was fast) but if I would paypal (that is how I paid) them the extra money they'd git 'er done. I did and they did and my processor was here, very well packaged and in good order. They didn't wait til the end of day to put it in the mail either. Once they received my payment that notified in a couple of hours that it had been shipped. Just a great purchase altogether. Processor is working great at a great price. I found this processor at one other seller and they wanted, are you ready, $239 cuz they claimed it was the only one out there. Well, they were close on the availability but StarMicro had it and the cost, are you ready, $42 dollars w/free shipping. Thanks SM you are great! :)"

"Ordered a Pentium E2200 CPU. After receiving the item I promptly installed it in the computer I bought it for. Windows XP was already installed on this PC but would just blue screen after new CPU was installed. I tried to install Windows 7 from DVD, same thing blue screen during install.
I thought, well maybe it's just not compatible with this PC even though I have the latest bios installed and website says it is. So like any good computer geek I installed in another PC with a Gigabyte motherboard that I knew for a fact was compatible and with latest bios. Same exact blue screen on this PC both with installed windows vista and win 7 install.
Sent item back, they said it tested fine and sent back to me. Tested CPU in same two systems, no go. I even tested in a brand new motherboard I just got after RMA, SAME EXACT BLUE SCREEN, this time with different media as well. Sent them an email back proving both motherboards were compatible and had latest bios, they ignored and didn't respond.
Opened dispute with paypal and they finally respond with snide comments and saying they'll refund me but won't pay return shipping even though I paid for shipping on first RMA. They also acted as if they were doing me a favor by not charging a restocking fee. Now I know why I got a bad CPU, they restock bad parts they get back from other customers.
They sell garbage products and are rude when you email them with information proving they don't know what they're talking about. They don't know how to "test" a product to ensure it's working and just assume when it's not that it's the customer who doesn't have the latest bios or a compatible system or is just an idiot and act like they're the only people on the planet that know how to install a CPU or can figure out if it's compatible. I just bought another same model CPU from another vendor and that one worked perfect in all three systems Starmicro's CPU wouldn't. They are DUMB.
Will never deal with this company again and urge all potential customers to follow suit unless you like your time wasted with idiotic responses and return shipping charges multiple times. Buyer Beware!"

Took out the old 2.53Ghz Pentium 4 (non-HT) from my aging Dell Dimesnion 4550, popped in the 3.06 GHz P4-HT, and PC booted and recognized the chip no problem. Best $30 upgrade I could buy!"

I don't keep money in my Paypal account but auto transfer as needed. For some reason this process did not go through on the StarMicro end. "SMI had the processor I was looking for (TL-66), for a good price. When I ordered, shipping was free, and there were no delays in either processing or the actual delivery of the chip. After installation, the chip worked perfectly, and still is 2 days later. I'll edit this again in a few months for an update if needed."
