"I am very unhappy with this store, I ordered from their website which said that they had inventory of the product that I wanted to buy. I received an order number and a tracking number. When I tried to track the product there was no tracking info available, I had to call Starmicro to find out what was going on, they said they were out of stock but they would ship the next day overnight so I was would still receive the product on time. Still no tracking number, so I had to call back again now they said that they thought they might get this product in a few days, this never happened and I get no call to let me know what was going on. Then I have my credit card charged for this purchase after I canceled the order, still with no response, a very unhappy consumer.

"Bought CPU on Jan 21 recieved item in small box stuck between two 1/8" pieces of foam and packing peanuts. Was not pleased this is not the way to ship a static sensitive item. Needless to say cpu was doa. Called star micro and emailed them asking for instructions on how to proceed. They never responded to email and ran me around on the phone until the "exchange" period was over."

So, all is good except for the one month delay this whole thing has caused.
The parts for the computers I am going to build have already depreciated by $200. Anyway, I have a new cpus order coming today (03/14/05).
These guys are a bunch of crooks!
Buyer beware!
I ordered two OEM CPUs from them for a total of $408.
I never received the shipment.
I spent a month trying to get them to send me my order with no luck.
They kept on giving me the run-around. Every single day I called about my order, they always said that they will ship it the next day.
Well, "next day" has turned into almost a month now.
I am fighting the charges with my credit card company and will never again shop with those crooks."

"Ordered 2 ea 128 MB laptop memory SODIMM for $56, received wrong parts and returned on 12-02-2004. Received two more wrong size parts on 12-23-2004 for an additional fee of $30 posted that was posted to card on 12-14-2004, and had to return them. Salesman said that he couldn't supply the part and would refund order. Returned 2nd order on 12-23-2004 to Starmicro and waited for refund. Had to make 2 follow-up calls asking for credit of purchase. Credit for initial order came on 1-15-2005 for $56 and did not include the cost of the replacement order #59393.
after requesting the additional order cost, it was applied to credit card minus a $10 handling fee. In Total it took 38 days and $18 of shipping and handling fees to settle this account and a lot of time and effort on my part in tracking and phone calls.
People I talked to were polite but slow in responding, Sorry, but I will not use this companies service again."
"BAD experience. Shipped two CPUs with bent pins as "OEM". Took almost two weeks to sent replacement. That again was used, but smaller cache size. Never credited refund, had to go through dispute. STAY AWAY"
"I could not get windows XP to install at all with the OEM CPU they sold me. I bought an identical one from newegg.com and it worked perfectly. Sounds like a defective CPU to me right? Well I had to pay to ship it back. Then they told me that the CPU passed a 24hr burn in test and the cpu was found to be in working condition. They charged me a 30% restocking fee. Don't waste your time with this company, go to a reputable company such as newegg.com"
"I ordered an old celeron 466 processor from this place for $11. I had all the other parts laying around i figured why not build another box for 11 bucks. The prices seem to be fair compared to other vendors. Their shipping and packaging was also very good. Got the order within two weeks (free ups ground) and the processor was in a protective case. No complaints here, other than the fact that their website is UGLY. "
