VERY ARROGANT! THEIR SERVICE IS HORRIBLE AND ACCOUNTABILITY IS LESS THAN ZERO...

"Stamps.com and Endicia.com are the same company now. When one company makes the mistake of shipping and related services, they do not accept responsibility, even though they charge for the service. While Stamps is also known as Endicia, Endicia has new customer service that is basically cookie cutter responses. No service at all! No communication and certainly no customer care.

We have been having issues with both companies and have experienced problems with billing and charges related to USPS Priority mail. While we pay for Signature delivery, apparently USPS does not always receive the signature payment therefore, leaving deliveries without signature even though it is paid for through our account.

What this translates to is merchandise being left on doorsteps without proof of delivery, no signature on delivery and the potential for online fraud. Some may argue this is a USPS problem. However, when we contact the company about the issue, rather than receive a human response and guideline on how to correct the issue, we are scolded by the service person using a canned response, obviously something that makes no sense.

Both these companies, now that they have merged into one is not for the best service. These companies have merged to eliminate competition, in the event someone decides to go elsewhere... personally, I would just ship direct with USPS and cut out the middle man.

Overall, a good service, but with some issues.

"There are two areas which, in my opinion, could stand improvement. One is, for certain types of large envelopes, it is confusing to know which Mail service is the correct one to use. The other issue is getting a refund for postage that did not print properly.

1. When I have a large envelope to Mail, I don't always know if I should use the "envelopes" pull-down selection menu, or if I should use the "Packages" pull-down menu (why are there "envelopes" in the "Packages" menu anyway?). In addition to the envelopes confusion, I also get confused about what type of label to use to print the postage. There are a lot of choices, and very little explanation about them.

2. Getting a refund for postage that did not print properly takes too long, and the software should allow more than ONE reprint of the postage. That's because printer problems do not always get fixed right away, and may require multiple attempts of printing the postage successfully. Also, the requirement of having to Mail proof of the damaged envelope or label back to the Stamps.com company is a real pain. Not only does it cost money to mail the bad printout, but it takes a long time to get the refund. There must be a better way!

Thanks

Great Service For Small Business Owners

"Being a small business owner is rewarding but sometimes hectic and leaves little time for things like post office runs. The convenience of ordering supplies and printing postage from my desk is a huge help! Highly recommend this service."

Stamps - scams

"Stamps - thieves! Write off the money from the card to check the card. The money was never returned. The amount is small, but I was disappointed. He wrote in support - pretend to be fools. Get round these scams! There are many honest companies!
Do not enter your personal information or card number on the stamps.com

Monthly fees

"They sent me a coupon and I tried it. Not really much need. Three months later $47.97 in fees?!?!? For what? Do I really have to give them one star what about zero stars "

One of the Worst cancelation phone calls

"Don't sign up for the trial, the cancellation process will waste your time and really annoy you.... to the point of expletives. You have to wait on hold during business hours to speak to an actual person. Once you do get a hold of someone you don't just get to cancel. You have to repeatedly ask to cancel, they give you a sales pitch, you ask to cancel, they give you a sales pitch.... over and over and over. Once you do convince them to cancel they then try to leave your account in a "parked" state where you are not billed, but if you log in and place an order you start reoccurring monthly fees. They do this without really telling you that is what is about to happen. So if you really want your account closed you then have to either call back or turn down this additional offer. It appears they are making more money scamming people they hook into unknowing monthly fees than actually on shipping. Stay away."

"I signed up for Stamps.com free trial to see what they had to offer. Once I had set up my account and had an opportunity to browse the site I realized it was not for me. My family barely mails 1-2 pieces a month (if that) so a monthly membership fee would NOT save us any money. 24 hours after I signed up for a risk free trial I see a $1.00 charge on my account, I sent an email regarding the $1.00 charge and explicitly included in the email that I was not interested in continuing my free trial and further I DID NOT AUTHORIZE ANY FUTURE CHARGES. Evidently an additional email was sent to me which was directed to my SPAM folder (my fault apparently for not checking) requiring additional information in order to cancel my subscription, I just spent 15 minutes on the phone cancelling my account, it was frustrating, unnecessary but could have been avoided if I had checked my spam folder....They were not helpful, didn't listen to me and reminded me that the charges on my credit card were not refundable because they were membership dues.

I would NOT recommend stamps.com for anything, even running a business I would rather pay for a lease through a company such as Pitney-Bowes versus dealing with the customer service at stamps.com.

"Do NOT go anywhere near Stamps.com!

I had no idea I was subscribing to a 15.99
subscription.

For a company this size, it's really hard to believe.
It's like the company was trying to find out 'the fastest way to get a large class action suit filed against them'.

"When I signed up for Stamps.com I was under the assumption that it was a "pay-as-you-go" service, and I was even prepared to pay a sign-on fee and slight markup on postage, on that premise. Unfortunately for me, in their sign-up interface, they managed to obfuscate their requirement for an ongoing monthly service fee (which is automatically charged to the credit card). Somehow, they cleverly managed to get that fine print past me and I have rarely fallen for scams. I've learned my lesson, but got ripped off for one monthly fee of $15, which they automatically charge when you cancel your account. This company is crooked and immoral, because they do not transparently and clearly disclose those important facts at the time you are signing up. They know that if they were honest, no one would sign up.

In addition, you have to buy their proprietary serialized adhesive stamp sheets, which are priced ridiculously high, adding to their dishonest margin.

Note to all people considering using stamps.com for routine postage: you are much better off simply going to the post office periodically and buying whatever number of "forever" stamps you can afford. Stamps.com is an absolute ripoff. Take it from a victim.

"abysmal, dishonest scam. after much effort, arguments, anger and "disconnected" calls, I finally cancelled and got a full refund:

HERE'S HOW YOU GET THE REFUND:

don't bother with the electronic maze of menus. call:
***-***-**** and select option #4.

that should get you one with one of these people: http://blog.stamps.com/category/customer-support/

this may require 1-2 transfers up the management chain, but as you go, make sure to get everyone's full name (they're obligated to give you first name and last initial). get a call back number as you go. they WILL disconnect you deliberately along the way. don't give up!

Tell them you are recording the conversation. Enforce that you will and/or have contacts the better business bureau, postmaster general's office, and that you are informed you have grounds for a class action suit (indeed, you do). Mention them by first name and last initial repeatedly. Remind them they are being recorded. Eventually they will comply, close the fraudulent account and issue a full refund.

Finally, tell them that, if following the refund they call/email with additional offers/discounts/incentives/ploys, you will file harassment charges. This should avoid all the follow-up nonsense people seem to be bombarded with.

"I never had an account with Stamps.com. I did allow 1 payment from a friends account and they will not stop billing my account. They have erroneously billed me over $400 in fraudulent charges. I called Stamps.com and they said they will not remove my card from their system because I don't have an account with them. Stamps.com is a company with no ethics at all."

"Stamps.com charges $15.99 for an outdated, ugly, slow, and buggy application. You can do all these functions at USPS.com for FREE! Also they only let you print twice? What is the point? It's not like the postage will work more than once anyway... problem with printing could necessitate reprinting! Cancellation was a hassle - after being on hold for a very long time the customer service rep kept trying to add a month free, etc, rather than cancel. I started out nice but it didn't work - I had to basically yell at them to cancel. At least they promptly sent me email confirmation, and a check to refund the postage in my account at the time of cancellation. They do bill you for one additional month of $15.99 when you cancel. Apparently this is to offset the "free trial" month. Really a scam, but at least they did cancel the service when I tried hard enough. "
