"Got SwissGear IBEX backpack for my 17" MacBook pro along with a chill pad.
Both the items arrived in perfect condition. Price for both the items was best at that time even with the Shipping included.

I would recommend this store to anyone but make sure to check prices thoroughly as some of the prices at PC Universe might be higher than other stores.

"I ordered through Google Checkout. Their site was unusually slow, but I decided to order through PCUniverse since they had the lowest price I could find for my Wacom Bamboo Tablet.

That same day I ordered (July 7), Google Checkout Informed me that I was already charged for my product. Great! It will ship out soon, I said to myself... After 4 days (July 11) after my intial order, I began to worry. My item is still at the same stage as it was on the first day - Charged my card, and no delivery notification.

I decided to use Google Checkout to E-mail PC Universe on a Status Update.

Jose responded on the same day (July 11), informing me that my product has shipped VIA UPS. I checked UPS tracking and it told me that my item was shipped on July 10. My item was finally delivered on the 11th.

PC Universe took about 3 days to process the order. UPS got the package to me in 2.

To this date, July 19, My Google Order Status was never updated to "shipped". It tells me that my order is still in progress. The last update on my order status was still on the first day I was order - when I was charged.

Compared to other (top notch) online vendors, PC Universe lacks the "status" E-mails I'm so used to receive. And since there are many vendors out there who are there to take your money and run, the lack of these status emails are scary.

With this in mind, I doubt I'll order from PC Universe again. Their poor automated confirmations and status updates are annoying. In this age of online vendors, I shouldn't need to E-mail them to get an order status update.

July 22, 2008 Update (Previously "Somewhat Dissatisfied")

PC Universe's Curt has E-mailed me discussing technical issues with Google Checkout. He reassured me that Google Checkout orders are working fine now. He offered me a form of compensation.
My Google Checkout Order Status has finally reached shipped status too.

PC Universe was quick to read my review here at reseller ratings and quick to find a remedy to my dissatisfaction. "Manual" communication seems to be great in my experience. So as long as their automated systems work, PC Universe seems to be a well rounded seller who wants to keep customers happy even after the sale.

"I purchased a Netgear Gigabit Ethernet switch, Belkin USB hub, and two Belkin Conceal surge protectors. PC Universe had everything I wanted in stock and at the lowest total price. My order was received in five business days using the standard shipping method.
My only complaint is that the "your order has shipped e-mail" arrived two days after I had already received my order.

"I ordered a single item from PCUniverse. I called to verify the item price and description and that the item shipped was correct and I was assured the item was as described.

When received it was incorrect so I returned the item after receiving an RMA from PCU.

I tracked the package via UPS and called Customer Service at PCU to verify they had received the item. They promised to credit my account within 24 to 48 hours.

After 48 hours, no credit. I called PCU to find out what was wrong and they promised to credit my account within 24 hours.

Again no credit so I called a third time to complain and they said they would credit me that day.
They also accused me of knowing the item I ordered was not correct. Basically accusing me of creating the issue.

Another day passed and still no credit.

After 10 days I began working with the financial institution through which I had made payment to recover the money.

Finally, 13 days after PCUniverse promised I would have the refund in 24 to 48 hours, I have my money back.

I did some research while waiting for the refund. This company has done this very thing on more than one occasion with similar results for customers.

"I was hesitant at first because of the reviews here but it worked out perfectly.

Ordered a Zyxel router from these guys on the 12th and the package was at my front door first thing in the morning on the 13th.

Their email system is a bit off though. I didn't get a shipping notice until 3 hours after my item had already arrived.

Overall I am very satisfied with their service.

"Wouldn't purchase from this reseller again. Placed the order on May 23, got E-mail that my order was "approved" on May 27th, and then nothing. I E-mailed them on June 4th requesting an update on the shipping and why there was such a delay in getting this merchandise to me. On their website the item was listed as having the entire quantity I ordered in stock and available. Now I am being told that the item is back ordered and they don't have an exact date of when the item/merchandise will arrive. They never once called or E-mailed me with a status and when I asked to have this order cancelled, it took them yet another day to respond to that. The credit card was charged immediately and the refund/credit for the cancellation of my order has not yet been done. There customer service is not good at all, I would not recommend buying from them."
