"I am very pleased with my purchase, however, there was a delay in my email notification of when the item would be shipped. I had already received the item by the time I was notified that it had been shipped. While it was nice to receive the item sooner than expected, it would have been nice to not be in limbo wondering when the item would be shipped. Otherwise, I had a positive experience as a customer."

"I ordered a APC UPS unit and much to my surprise the order arrived next day and I requested ground 3-5 days shipping, this was impressive. However the order was missing some items (software and cabling for the UPS unit). I called customer service and was told I would receive return info same day. Called next day and ws told 3-5 days, emailed a week later, called 6 business days and was told 7 business days which will be on 09/15. Meanwhile I have a PC with no UPS and a UPS waiting to be returned. Not a good situation to be in."

"Good News/Bad News:

The bad: the motherboard I ordered was placed - not packed - in a box large enough to hold 6 or 7 of them. By placed, I mean with NO packing material (styrofoam peanuts, air bags, packing paper, etc.) at all. It was free to bounce around to its heart's content inside that big box from Texas to Nevada. The CPU fan retainer was broken in multiple places from the impacts.

The Good: When I explained this and asked to return it on their dime and for a full refund of my purchase cost, including shipping, I got an apology and a prepaid return label but no hassles at all. 48 hours after the box got back to them, my refund was back on my credit card.

In short, a very graceful and acceptable recovery from a really inexcusable foul up. In fact, the only reason I didn't exchange the motherboard was the agent telling that he could not assure me that the next one would be packed any better.

"The saga continues...

After I submitted my review things started happening. I got an e-mail with a return UPS packing label and a promise that as soon as tey recieved notification that the return shipping had been processed that a new camera would be sent out right away. I returned the camera but never got notification that a new one would ship so I contacted them to remind them of thier promise. I was told that my new camera would ship via overnight. The following day I was informed that this was not going to happen and the camera had been shipped UPS ground instead. The camera arrived yesterday, according to the slip in the users manual, it was another refurbished item. I e-mailed customer support to report this and after 24 hours have not heard back from them.


During the order process I was asked to participate in this survey and I declined. After I placed the order I was approached again via e-mail from someone at PC Universe and asked to participate once again. I was not happy about it.

When my order finally arrived I dscovered that instead of shipping me a new camera I was shipped a refurbished camera and the warranty card had been removed.

I contacted PC Universe customer support and they claimed that they sent a new camera and are still "investigating". In the interim I'm without a camera that I can use, nor do I have any indication from them about when and how they intend to resolve the issue.

"I needed some KVM's to complete our new video board system fast because the vendor I had originally ordered from kept giving me an "in production, not yet shipped" message. At the 11th hour, I logged into PC Universe, saw they had the items in stock, placed the order for next day delivery, had a slight glitch in the processing, contacted them and they changed it to Saturday delivery at no extra charge. The devices arrived, and I had them installed and working 7 hours before game time. For that, I give PCUniverse the highest customer service rating! "

"I had a horrible experience with PC Universe and will never shop there again. Not only did they delay shipment by two days, but when the product it arrived (a Coby digital photo frame), it only worked for about an hour before dying. I tried to contact customer service via email several times and finally had to contact my credit card company to tell them to cancel the payment. Then, when PC Universe finally did get back to me about returning the product, there were so many rules on returning it that I had to print them out and go out of my way to do everything they asked in the time limits they gave me. Not to mention it cost $12.00 for me to return the product, when it wasn't my fault the product was defective in the first place. I *DO NOT* recommend shopping there. "
