"PC Universe was amazing. The ordering process was seamless--it took me about 2 minutes, start to finish. "Actual purchase date is Jul 30,2007. I purchased a PIXMA IP90 printer with a 2 year replacement plan. The printer worked outstanding until Apr 2, 2009 when it quit talking to my MacBook computer. I talked to PCUniverse on Apr 13, Apr 24, May 8, and finally May 11 the problem with the warranty company was resolved and the return shipping authorization number was given to me. I shipped the bad printer by UPS and it was signed for on May 28. On Jun 24 I sent a Certified Letter to them and it was signed for on Jun 29. Since that date I have heard nothing from the company. I'm out my $200. and the printer. I consider this company to be very unprofessional and would never buy from them again."

"The ACP-EP 2.0 4GB Memory Key provided by PC Universe is living up to the website's claims, but the wording in those claims, though better than the standard wording on the product package, is a little ambiguous. I wrote to PC Universe about a revision of their wording 7 days ago but they have not yet replied.

I am satisfied with the Memory Key. PC Universe promised that it works with "Windows 98/SE". This expression almost says "Windows 98SE" and it almost says "Windows 98 or 98SE". The Memory Key, in fact, works with only those Windows 98 platforms that support USB devices and with all Windows 98SE computers; those Windows 98 computers that do not have a USB port and those Windows 98 platforms that do not support USB computers will not function with the Memory Key. PC Universe directs customers to the manufacturer's website, where the FAQ webpage tells them this. All this suspense could be saved if PC Universe's webpage were just a little more precise.

Such precision would clear up a lot of misunderstanding among computer supply salesmen, most of whom in my industrious area, of Long Island, NY, do not know this about the very memory sticks they sell.

"PCUniverse is by far, the worst online store I've been to.

Ordered an HP Mininote 2140 on May 29th, and as of this writing (June 5), the item hasn't been shipped yet! And the customer representative that I've talked to keep on pushing the date on when I should get the tracking number!

I don't know if all of the posted positive reviews here for PC Universe is really true/legit, but I tell you, I am already starting to worry about the money I spent on this site.

UPDATE: This people are unbelievable! It has been 10 days since I made the order online! They are a bunch of liars. Spoke with Patrick from Customer Service and he told me that I should be getting the item today (June 9). Then when I called again to confirm, I spoke with Matt (he told me he was the supervisor), and he informed me that the item hasn't even been shipped yet!

This is extremely frustrating and infuriating. If I've known earlier, I wouldn't have ordered from PCUniverse. Clearly, customer sales, service and support at its worst.

"Ordered a camera from PC Universe. An item was sent out day of order and I received it the next day. Unfortunately there was an aparent computer mix-up and I was sent a completely different item (a projector) which had the same model number as the camera. Customer service was polite and apologetic. I didn't receive the call tag (return shipping label) by the time I was supposed to the next day, but I emailed them and they sent it within a few hours of my email. There were no issues with them recrediting my credit card for the amount of purchase which they did within a short time of receiving my return.

Although obviously I would have preferred to receive the correct item - the return/refund process was reasonably painless and their customer service was polite and responsive. I would feel comfortable ordering from them again.

"I ordered the Wacom Bamboo Fun Tablet from PC Universe which was advertised for $30 via Amazon.com and the Seller sent a stylus pen instead. The ad clearly stated they were selling the Tablet for $30.

So I called the company and sat on hold for 10 minutes before I got a customer service rep. She was highly combative and she claimed that they could not deliver the product because of a SKU mixup. So I wound up talking to Patrick Colletta who claims to be the VP of Commerce.

He contradicted his rep saying they were working with the manufacturer so they could try to ship us the product. Very odd that their story didn't match. Well, it turned out on the next day that because of this "SKU mixup", he called and declared that he was not going to send us the product for the price that he'd sold it for on Amazon. Instead he planned on sending out a $30 gift certificate-equivalent for future purchases at PC Universe.

I then investigated this company - a little too late, of course - to find that they have done this before.

"Worst experience ever!!! It has been month since my credit card was charged, but I still do not have my item. Just Yesterday I received e-mail with tracking number saying that it is finaly shipped. Communication with this company is near impossible. Voice mail has been full for at least 3 weeks, e-mail response sometime happens, but does not give too much information or explain why my order has not reached me. VERY DISSAPOINTED!!!"
