"My Orion 40 mm Sirius Plossl eyepiece came on time and in perfect condition. The low power is perfect for viewing a wide field of the sky to make finding objects easier with the telescope so that they can then be centered and seen at higher powers with shorter focal length eyepieces, or just for sharp views of a wider area of the sky like the Pleiades cluster.

"I ordered the 80-mm backpack travel scope from Orion. The scope arrived in a very timely manner and I damaged. The only problem was with the low quality of the tripod and the very poor quality of the red-dot finder scope. The tripod is extremely shaky and very cheap. The “foot” that attaches to the tripod is too small to hold the scope on the tripod well. The finder scope is terrible. Orion has a much better red-dot finder that should have been included instead of the cheap one that is included: it’s little more than a toy, and it is extremely difficult to put on and remove from the telescope tube. The 80-mm refractor telescope, though, is fine: very well made and the views through it are wonderful. I can’t recommend this telescope setup, though, due to these problems. We were fortunate to have a much sturdier camera tripod in our possession that we can use with the telescope, so at least we can use the setup. Orion should really include a better tripod and their better version of the red-dot finder scope. That would make this package a give-star product!"
