"I started using Modern Bike during COVID to get some hard to find parts for my IGH. They have great prices and delivery has been stellar even during COVID. Only issue is I have to watch shipping on some heavier items to Canada (ie Park Tools Truing Stand) as some items have crazy high shipping prices, hoping that is just COVID spiking the shipping prices. Also found Modern Bike could source some items that my LBS could not. I have done about 40-50 bike part purchases in the part year and the 5-6 purchases on Modern Bike were always among the fastest."

"Sales lady on 9/25/20 at 16:52 had two inner tubes for my bike. She was outa stock on one of them but had one with a special valve stem, opened the box and showed it to me. She said I could bring it back if it didn't work and was in hurry it was closing time. Today a gentleman wouldn't let me return it because the box was open. She opened it. I recently had a stroke and been working on a bicycling hobby to excersise etc. For 11.76 he royally **** me off. She said I could return it, I didn't need to be treated like liing scum, sorry I called him an sob. but he deserved it. The young lady should be better trained on valve stems and store policy.i will never return to this store thank God for folks at walmart, they got me what I needed."

"Awful customer service and awful shipping/return policy. The seat post (a small item) I ordered qualified for free shipping but after arriving 8 days late, once I had found a better option and wanted to return it, I had to pay return shipping in full. I also was told that if I had installed the seat post I would not get my money back, so I didn’t bother testing it. Very unusual for a retailer to be so stingy and unsupportive on these sorts of policies, but I was at least willing to bite the bullet on this one. Problem was, they shipped it in a box that was twice the size of what it needed to be so return shipping was $20 for a small item. Then when I’m finally issued my refund, they deducted the original shipping from when they sent it to me saying “that’s money we’re out regardless of free shipping”. Throughout this experience, the customer service representative was really rude. If you really care that much about shipping, send it in a normal size box. So basically I spent $35 at this point to return a seat post I wasn’t even allowed to try out. I will never recommend these people to anyone or buy from them again"
"I should have known when I saw the outdated web design it was going to be bad. Order was placed on August 4th. I am now on day 15 and still have not received the order. When I placed the order it said would ship in 2-3 days. For something placed Tue I expect to ship Friday. However, they then said Monday. Of course that did not happen and it was delayed and delayed again. I contacted them they have a very curt "it will ship". It did not. Finally Friday the following week it shipped from them.
Once it did ship it was sent with the slowest possible carrier and route. I would have expected after all the delays on their end it would at least have some expedited shipping not FedEx super low priority who changed the delivery date 3 times. "

"I'm modernizing a GT backwoods from the 90s. Wanting some wider bars, I looked around for a site that had a stem/bar combo in the range I was looking for and MB had the parts I needed. I usually try to support my LBS, but selection of bars is very small. Although you can refine an online orders to only in stock items, they were out of the first bars I chose. Calling the shop it took just 3 mins to switch the order to a different bar; and my order got to me ahead of the scheduled delivery date! I will definitely be supporting MB with my other online purchases in the future. "
"I was looking for a bike for my grandson who is turning 3, Strider 14x Sports model in green. They were sold out everywhere. I was hesitant purchasing from company i was not familiar with. I happen to come across ModernBike and had exactly what i was looking for, even $10.00 cheaper. I ordered the bike on Thursday and received it Sunday! When i called to inquire about this bike if they had in stock, the salesperson took his time to take a look to be sure he had it in stock. I ordered immediately and within 4 days i received the bike.
