"My boyfriend ordered me brake hoods for my bike and when he ordered them, the website said they were in stock. He also ordered handlebars that same day and received them 2 days later from another retailer. It has been a week and when he called a few days ago to see if they've shipped, he was told Monday (June 13, 2022). He called again today, Monday, and the guy in customer service answered he was extremely rude to him when asked "If they were in stock, why weren't they shipped?" To which your service guy answered with "Do you want to cancel your order or not, I'm not arguing with you!" Hung up the phone on him, and next thing he's checking his email and the guy canceled our order. VERY poor customer service from this retailer. I have been in retail management for 20+ years and I would NEVER dream of talking to a customer the way your's did today. Would NOT recommend this retailer at all!"
"Had some questions about a small order I placed where I thought the product was defective. I really wasn't expecting a reply but got one quickly and with a very helpful, considerate, extremely accomodating attitude--very customer-centric. It was something on my end but ModernBike went above and beyond to assist.
This is my now go-to shop for anything I need. It's great to have this kind of support after a small sale. I'll be spending more money here for long time!

"Recently, I was looking for a 350mm suspension seatpost with a 30.4 mm diameter. I found out that not many bike shops carry exactly what I needed. Luckily, I found ModernBike. Not only did they have what I needed but 6 days after ordering it on-line, the seatpost was delivered (Iowa to Washington).
The seatpost and shipping costs were very reasonable. I've installed the seatpost and it works great.
It was a very good on-line buying experience: quality product, reasonable prices and on-time shipping.

"Planned to overhaul my road bike this winter. Contacted Modern bike about some parts. I know enough to be dangerous, but wanted to overhaul my bike myself. These folks are the best! Quick response time, great advice and lots of patience dealing with a newbie like me. They steered me to what I needed and told me what to watch for, and this was just to replace my crankset and BB. I'll be back for the new wheels, derailleur, and aero bars. I feel very comfortable spending money with this shop, knowing that they won't sell me something just to make a sale. I'm going to go with a new paint job, something crazy like black. If they sell paint, I'll be buying it from Modern Bike!"

"I recently ordered four separate items from ModernBike... a bicycle rim and three different types of spokes.
The rim was pretty scratched up. shipping box was fine so the rim must have been damaged before it was shipped to me.
The spokes looked okay, but upon close inspection I found that some of the spokes were not the length that I ordered. Customer support contact at ModernBike explained to me that the spokes I ordered can vary from requested length by +/- 1mm. Wont really matter, but would have been nice to know this when ordering
