"I purchased a used Nikon D800 converted to infrared and the camera that I received is in better condition and has a lower shutter count than my main shooter, a Nikon D810. The LCD is in perfect condition, the plastic LCD cover looks new, the camera functions flawlessly so far (I'll know for sure tomorrow when it's sunny).
I was shopping for a camera to send out to be converted to IR, then I saw this d810 already converted for about the price of regularD800 body -- the deal was too good to pass up. As a bonus, it came with a laminated quick reference card for the D800 that is useful for the D810 also.

"i have never heard of Lens Authority before this. Needed to replace a Nikon lens after dropping mine. After searching on line for a replacement, I found Lens Authority. Prices were great. After ordering the lens, i received my lens in the mail, with lots of updates as to when it would be shipped and arrival information. Upon receiving my lens, it was packaged fantastically, as i was nervous about receiving a lens thru the mail. It came in its own padded zippered bag, as well as they also sent along a small complementary gift, which was very nice, but the enclosed note said, " here is this gift. enjoy it. if not, give it to someone. "I signed up with Lensauthority about 2 years ago to have the look for a used 600mm F4 is mk2. for me, they did get back to me about a year later saying they just got one in stock, but the way they described its condition I decided to pass on it. Last week when I was ready to give up looking and buy a new Sigma 500mm F4 because of its price, I get an E-mail from Lenauthority saying they just got one in. The way they described this one I was very interested, so I got back to them and asked more questions They got right back to me and I decided to buy it after I got done talking to them. When I received the Lens a few days later, it was exactly the way they described it. And now I'm a very happy camper having the Lens of my dreams for almost the price of a new Sigma 500mm f4.
Maybe now that the new 600mm mk3 is out, there might be more mk2s available.
