"Placed my order and a day later, got a call from a sale person how made sure my order was correct. He seemed to know a lot about the product and was let me know about additional accessories with out being pushy. Four buisness days later I recieved my order. The sales guy was great, I got the my camera fast and at a great price. What else could you ask for. I would definitely shop them again."

"I was worried for a while, but got what I ordered.

In the end, everything was fine, but if I had read some of the negative reviews of iBuyDigital before I placed my order, I probably would have shopped elsewhere. And the $30 I saved was probably not worth the mental anguish of dealing with them. Here's a rundown of my experience...

Tues - Google search showed them to have the lowest price with decent customer ratings, on the two Nikon SB900 flashes I needed. I called to verify that their advertised price was for the USA model and not gray market. Guy was friendly enough, said yes, definitely USA. So I placed order by phone, had to endure the expected pitches to buy batteries for the flash and for my camera. It was only slightly pushy. Was given an order#. Asked if any chance it would ship today, he said he would try to get it through but not guaranteed. Was told I would receive an email with my order confirmation and tracking#. Did not receive an email that day.

Wed - Received no email of order confirmation or tracking#.

Thurs - Still no email. Called to verify my order, was told that it has been processed and "you will be receiving your tracking info soon". Asked again if the flashes were USA model and not gray market, was told yes they are USA.

Fri - Still no email. By this point I was irritated and had a bad feeling about this place. Checked my credit card, it had not been charged yet but there was a 'pre-authorization' on the card for the amount of the purchase. So I called and said I wanted to cancel my order. "OK, I can help you with that. Can I ask, is there a problem with the order?" Well, yeah...I ordered on Tuesday and have not heard a word from you about my order since. "I do apologize about that...I see that the order has shipped." Oh...so why was I not notified? "Our automated system for sending those emails has been down and we've been working on it". OK, sure, could be true, I guess. He told me it shipped on Wed, he gave me the tracking# and I looked it up while I had him on the phone. He was correct, UPS showed it had shipped the day after I ordered. I asked one to make sure the flashes were not gray market, he told me they were USA, not gray market. OK fine, thanks, have a nice day.

Wed - Eight days after ordering, my order arrives. There wasn't enough padding in the box and the flashes were sliding around inside. I nervously opened with a feeling in my gut that I was about to have an new problem with returning 2 gray market flashes. But alas, no return necessary...the flashes were the USA models as promised, with all the proper packaging, paperwork, and serial numbers. (I compared to the SB900 I already owned, everything was identical, definitely legit USA versions)

So in the end, really my only beef with iBuyDigital is the terrible communication. I ordered on the phone, but if you order online, I am sure you will be contacted to "verify your order", at which time you'll have to call them and get the pitch for batteries, straps, accessories, etc that places like this rely on to make the money they're not making by having such a low price to begin with. In the end I saved a total of $30 compared to buying from, say, Adorama. Not a lot of money, and at the cost of a moderate amount of aggravation and uncertainty. But they delivered as promised and didn't scam me.

"I had a fantastic shopping experience with IbuyDigital. Ronald, the sales representative I worked with, was not only very knowledgable about the camera I was interested in and putting together the package I needed but was very prompt in processing the order. My item was shipped the next day and arrived on the date promised in great shape from excellent packing. I would not hesitate to shop at IbuyDigital in the future. Based on my outstanding shopping experience, I can't imagine why there are negative ratings but I suppose sometimes a buying experiences just don't go right for a variety of reasons."

"I ordered a Canon HF200 and a 3 hour ext battery from Central Digital .com and I received them both in good/new and complete condition. After tested out the two batteries and I noticed a problem with the ext one. It's last only 40 minutes vs 3 hours after the first/initial charge and the camcorder couldn't communicate with the battery. This does not work for me since I mainly take photos/videos underwater and no way for me to turn off the confirm message with my underwater housing/case and no way to tell how much/long it left at a certain point in time. Called in and got frustrated after being dropped and kicked from one cust prep to another but finally came Jason-553 rescuer; not for my hassle but his company survival as well. Long story for short, I got three choices: returning the package at my shipping cost, free 2 year ext warranty, or free set of three filters. I decided to pick the last and keep the battery/package. I can use it in land and order another one that works underwater for me. At the end it worked out to my satisfactory and that the goal. Problems could exist everywhere (any shop) even you have not had any yet. My point here is to give people a chance to work it out and I'm happy with the solutions from Jason, beside it's good price I got."

"Horrible experience. Package got lost so I contacted ups who told me to let the company know so they can start a tracer. That was Monday. I called and was told it would come Tuesday. Tuesday I called and was rude to and got hung up on by Erik. Wednesday I called and got Tommy at customer service who said he is sorry and will figure it out and will call me. Offcourse no phone call. Called Thursday and NOW was told that they CAN start a tracer. I said this should have happened days ago. Cancelled my order. Never order from this company again."

"I placed this order based off of the information on their website stating that the item was in stock. I received the confirmation and even a phone call confirming that the order was received and was processed. 20 days later, I get an email stating that the order is just now shipping. After calling to confirm this, I was told that the shipment was canceled because the item is not in stock. If I hadn't called, I never would have been made aware of this. Very poor customer service. I canceled this order and will not purchase from again."

"i Buy digital had the best price for the specific Nikon coolpix s230 camera. I liked this company, but there was only one issue that i had with them... they took way longer than normal to process and ship my camera. other then that, i was happy with purchasing from them"
