"I Don't voluntarily submitt reveiws on purchased products but since I was given a link to reprt my bying experience with this copy and noticed that there were some negative feedback out there, I thought I would put my two cents in.

I purchased a Canon 580 flash for my 50D and noticed that this company had the cheapest pricing hands-down. So I jumped at it. after I had made my (what might have been considered an)impulse purchase, I noticed some negative feedback regarding pressure selling and questionable switching tactics used by this company. So I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best.

After I called customer service, I was reassured that my flash would be arriving as brand new and would be a USA product (with warranty card) and not a grey market item. I was gently prodded to purchase batteries and a charger but declined to do so. So, customer service left it at that; as I was very appreciative.

As promised, I reveived my flash in quick order, in proper packaging and it works perfectly for the application it was purchased for. I am very happy with the product.

I am very pleased with my experience as well. With highly competitve pricing they offer, I will most-likely be buying from them in the future. I am sorry others may have had problems in the past, but I can only respond on my situation and that this was a good experience. Problems others may have encountered may have been isolated so I highly reccommend giving this company a chance."

When I called, they told me that they were holding the shipment in order to ask me if I wanted to buy an extended warranty. If I wanted that, then I would have bought it. I would NOT recommend purchasing the upsell battery/assorted junk for $100. Here's why: The battery is NOT mfg'ed by Canon. Each time I use the camera, the camera complains that it cannot communicate with the battery. I suspect that this was why my camera locked up during a memory card initialization. Now I have to go somewhere else and purchase a real Canon battery."

"I spent about $860 on a NIKON D90 camera. ibuydigital.com promised a NIB, for-U.S., fully warrantable item. What I got was a camera with NO SERIAL NUMBER. I called NIKON, and without a serial number, I could not register the camera for the warranty, and even with all the numbers on the box, and with the camera in-hand, NIKON could not help me. When i called ibuydigital, they had no reasonable explanation, BUT, they were accessible, pleasant, and responsive; and they did accepted the camera in return. The process was a headache, and the UPS link for a return label did not work. For me, the bottom line is: they were nice enough to deal with, but be sure to check all the numbers and paperwork when you get your item."
