"After endless searching for the perfect bedroom set, I stumbled on what I wanted at HomeTimeFurniture's site. It was definitely buried within the countless other online stores that showed up, but so glad I found it!

I ordered a complete Paula Deen Bedroom set by Universal Furniture (5 pieces). I had seen the pieces I liked on countless sites, but HomeTimeFurniture.com gave me the best price (not counting the free shipping and no tax features). The customer service was excellent. I was reassured by reading mostly positive reviews on this company, but I was still a bit skeptical about placing such a large furniture order online.

Everything worked out perfectly. Delivery was within the time frame given. I was called two days before delivery and asked if I could bump up delivery by a day as their shipping truck was running ahead of schedule. This was not a problem for me. The delivery was white glove and everything was set up perfectly. I was told that the delivery company would not haul off packing materials unless specifically asked. However, I did not request this because I did not see a shred of packing material left in front of my house. (Here would be the only negative of my experience if you want to call it that.) Was I surprised when my husband came home from work and joked about the huge pile of cardboard on the side of the house. It was a TON of boxes and packing material! I think it would have been nice if the delivery men had informed me they had left this on the side of my house. I could not see from my front porch and didn't know it was all there. Took my husband and I a while that night to break down the boxes so our garbage service would haul it off. Now I don't fault HomeTimeFurniture for this as I was specifically told I needed to request that the packing materials be taken away (which I didn't do). In the end, I'm glad I didn't...in one small box within the mountain of debris there was an unopened velvet jewlery box liner that was part of my dresser. I didn't even realize this insert was part of my furniture. The delivery men missed it, and I would never have known if I hadn't sifted through the boxes myself. Again, I was still pleased with the delivery service despite this.

My experience with HomeTimeFurniture was so good that I used them again to order a Paula Deen Media Console by Universal Furniture. I could not find any Paula Deen furniture on their web site. When I called and spoke with Dave Baker who had helped me before, I was told that Universal/Paula Deen brand had changed their marketing to allow only physical furniture stores to carry its products. No online only stores. Dave was great and got back with me to let me know that Universal had allowed an exception since I had just recently been a customer. I was pleased that customer service went this extra mile.

My new media consoled arrived in perfect condition, cheapest price I could find, and smooth delivery (no packing box this time either, go figure). I'm again pleased with my purchase.

Having used HomeTimeFurniture.com twice, I definitely highly recommend them for their prices, great customer service, and lovely furniture options. Delivery was quick...just pay attention to disposal of your packing materials.

"We ordered a Pulaski corner curio cabinet from Home Time on 5/23/2011 and were told it would take 4-6 wks. to deliver. Savings vs.retail w/5% discount over $200 so why not? 2 wks. later they are giving 10% disc. so I email and they happily give us the extra 5%. The piece arrives in 15 days, not 4-6 weeks. Deliverymen are professional and curteous and set up the cabinet(free white glove service). Piece look great and appears to be well made. In my opinion this company knows how to run a business. Others would do well to emulate how Home Time treats its customers. As I told them, "Home Time" is on my "all-time' favorite list."

But HTF is the exception to the rule of mediocre customer service. I ordered a beautiful king bed that I just had to trust would be according to the product description. Well, not only was the product exactly as described but the service associate who helped me with my order, gave me a LOWER price than what was posted online AND compensated me with an extra discount because the bed was on backorder.
