harassment 7 days a week

"i regret ever using them should have walked out after i had to go to another store to get my tv there web site is crap some times you will go to make a payment and you think everything gone through but it doesn't and then they call and harass you 7 days a week yes even Saturday and Sunday for a payment you think you made then to find out for it to go through you need to schedule the payment for a later date....they are rude harassing and no help you go in to the store and the employees will even till you "ya we know our web site is crap" then they laugh i will never use them again."

CONNS HAS NO INTEGRITY OR HONESTY DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

"I HAVE THE 12 MONTH NO INTEREST ON SOME FURNTIURE I PURCHASED. WHEN I QUESTIONED THE BUY OUT THEY TOLD ME I HAVE 600.00 WORTH OF WARRANTY AND PROPERTY INSURANCE ON THE PIECES. I DIDNOT NOR WAS I TOLD ABOUT ANY OF THIS. THIS IS MY 2ND PURCHASE WITH CONNS. FIRST TIME AROUND 5000 THAT I PD OFF BEFORE A YEAR AND NOW THIS ONE OF 3200.00 . I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY CAN DO NOTHING! I AM TO GET A CANCELLATION LETTER FROM CONNS...WHICH BY THE WAY, THE STORE I PURCHASED FROM DOESNT HAVE ANY. I EMAILED THIS SITE FOR IT. THEY WILL PRORATE IT..... I AM VERY UPSET ABOUT THIS AND WILL TELL ANYONE LIKE REVEIWS THAT WILL LISTEN. WORD OF MOUTH IS POWERFUL!!!! ITS A SHAME THEIR SALES PEOPLE STUP TO THIS FOR THEIR COMMISSION! 600.00 IS A HEFTY PRICE FOR A DINING ROOM TABLE AND 2 RECLINERS. WHO SITS AND READS THE FINE PRINT ON A CONTRACT....THEY (THE SALES PERSON) KNOWS THAT TOO. PUT YOURSELF IN MY PLACE...WOULD YOU PURCHASE AGAIN FROM THIS ENITY KNOWING THERE IS NOT TRUST , HONESTY OR INTEGRITY. THERE IS NO SUPPORT FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE MANAGER HAS NO ABILITY TO TAKE CARE OF THIS MATTER AT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LOCATION.. ITS A WONDER THEY R STILL IN BUSINESS!!! 600.00 FOR WARRANTY...GIVE ME A BREAK.

Huge Nightmare

"Don't bother buying from Conn's. It has been a huge nightmare. I made my purchase 10/17/2018. I was lied to, I emailed my proof of insurance before I went in to fill out the paperwork and called my agent while in the store to confirm my renter's policy would cover the chair I would be making payments on. Keep in mind I've worked in insurance for 16 years. Got a letter today thanking me for purchasing their coverage. Was talked down to when escalating to a supervisor. Will be reporting to the better business bureau if this does not get resolved. During the purchasing process I learned that if I want to purchase anything additional I have to pay ANOTHER application fee even though I'm an established customer. They pulled the insurance scam on me back in 2001 also. At that time that was the only bad experience. They do not retain copies of the paperwork you fill out even electronically. It is up to you to maintain this even when it disappeared from my email and my hard copy I printed has been misplaced. Their staff is friendly but that's all they have got going for them. If you read this review and shop anyway buyer beware make sure you GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING."

Like dealing with a CON

"BEWARE OF THIS STORE
Purchase a washer and dryer that had a $100 rebate on it. Was told by sales person that they send in the rebate and I have to do nothing . After 3 months nothing. I call and talk to a very rude Manager Vincent who told me to call parent company. When they deliver the washer and dryer it was not in a box so I have no idea if this set was new. They told me the set I was buying was on sale , come to find out ther sale price was other stores retail price. Conns prices are higher than most other retailers. Also beware they also put insurance on the items without telling you if you finance the items. I am a USAF Veteran and ask all vets to avoid this store , better yet avoid Conns! The the Conns fits this company. I wish I would of read reviews 1st because they are bad.

Dishonest

"Very dishonest overcharge put me 30 days late where the store that I purchased it Conn's has me paying correctly took away my free interest for one year added $300 worth of insurance on my account when I have homeowners insurance and didn't disclose it, very poorly run and dishonest practices "

Conn's Warranty Repair is HORRIBLE!!

"Purchased a Samsung Smart TV from Conns. The TV is not allowing apps to be downloaded and says that the apps are not supported. Now these are basic apps like you tube, HBO Go, NetFlix etc. So we removed all the apps and tried to download them again and it would not allow us to download them so we reset the TV. Now this happens weekly were the TV says the same apps are not supported and we have to reset the TV to down load them again. The software is up to date. So at this point I submit a Service Request online and pick a day that I will be available for them to come out a service the TV. Appt was scheduled for 9/5 received a confirmation that the appt was scheduled for a service tech to come out and they would call me the morning of my appointment with a 2 hour arrival window. I printed out the confirmation info. On 9/5 I take the day off of work and sat around ALL day for someone to call or show up...No Call/No Show! So I call the service Dept. and spoke with a rep that informed me that they rescheduled my appt for the next day because they never received pictures on the TV??? I asked what pictures? He said we need 3 pictures 1 with TV off/2nd with TV on/and 3rd of SN. I let him know that I was unaware of this and I never received a call or text or email letting me know this was needed. I also told him no one reached out to me about changing the appt and I was unable to take ANOTHER day off. He apologized and asked what day would work I rescheduled for 9/12. Got the info to send the photos. Pics were sent on 9/9. I also contact Conns Customer Service and put in a complaint about the service Dept. and was told I would receive a callback and never did. I asked the Service Dept to escalate this to a manger since no one was available when I originally called to complain and no one has called. 9/12 took day off and received a call from a tech with a (915) area code stating that they did not have a tech in my aea to come out and look at my TV so he was going to forward it on and I should receive a call from someone within 3 business days. Are you kidding me!! 2 days took off from work and still no one has come out to look at my TV!! At This point reached out the store and worked with Elvis and Tony and both of them started working on getting this escalated. The actually called me back and kept me informed. Was told on 9/14 that I would be receiving a call today or the following day. 9/17 no one has called. Contacted the store again and was asked if someone reached out to me because they show an appt was scheduled to come out tomorrow. I was not aware of this appointment. 9/18 received a call from service dept. saying that they would have a tech at my house tomorrow. Frustration is beyond what I am feeling....Tell me what is wrong with this picture!!!! "

Buyer Beware

"Do not buy from Conn's they do not stand behind their products. I Bought a 1700 dollar tv after purchase it was broken between them Reboxing it and loading it into my truck. They refuse to exchange it or have extended warranty purchased with tv repair it claiming physical damage even though they were the ones that handled it while I was told to go get my truck. Store manager Ian Byington is belittling and has zero interest in customer satisfaction or even being respectful and considerate. He was by far one of the worst retail managers I've ever delt with flat out told me it was fine when I left with it nothing he's going to do about it call customer service and see if they care because I don't. When I told him I had an order of 2500 worth of furniture also and I would cancel it as well he simple said okay don't care. When I asked for the district managers number he said call customer service I'm done with you, and walked away."

bad sevice from service center Coo's

"I have a LG refrigerator that they say the mother board was out. The repair man order the and said it would be over night. But they could not get back to install until the 22Aug. (one week). now the are saying it will not be in until the 23 Aug. and can not give me a date for install the part. Talking to them is like talking to my 3 year old grand son.

I will not buy anything more from Conn's or a LG.

STAY AWAY!!!

"This is the WORST place I have EVER done business with in my ENTIRE life. If I could give them the rating they deserve, it would be a -99! Not only did I have all kinds of problems upfront with the deliveries and pricing but the entire life of my loan involved harassing E-mails and phone calls if I was even 2 minutes late making the payment. Now, that I have paid off my loan IN FULL last month (in July), these idiots are STILL sending me collection E-mails and are taking their sweet time posting the payment and closing my account!

This place is HORRIBLE so, I urge you to steer clear of "Cons," I mean, "CONNS."

Conn's should be Con's

"I bought a window a c. it broke shortly afterwards. it took them 2 weeks to come out and find the problem, 2 weeks more to bring the part and now waiting 2 weeks more to come out with the correct part, all in Houston summer heat. Read other reviews. Can't believe they are still open. Buyer beware."

Doesn’t help your credit...

"So I purchased a recliner with the only intent to help my credit score. Well, as soon as I got it my score dropped because the amount of the purchase includes the interest. Not the purchase price... ok so I start paying it in on higher amounts to pay it off sooner so I won’t ger hit with the intrest. So I make my final payment of a little over $400. Two days later both sesame credit and kredit karma inform me that my account ‘‘twas closed (reported by Conn’s) which affects my score once again. I never buy from Rental stores for their high prices and poor quality furniture... but i did to help rebuild my credit. Nice try, I only over paid and my credit score didn’t really benefit from it. I forgot to mention that I returned a Bose speaker because the sound wasn’t what I expected... I got charged $35 restock fee for it.
Think about people Conn’s is no joke, just like RentACenter and all the other rental places.

Defective Washer

Problem:
I purchased a washer and dryer set. They were delivered on May 29th. Four days later I went to use the washing machine for the 1st time and it did not work. The latch would not lock. They delivered a defective washing machine to me. I contacted them immediately and informed them and they told me that I would have to get it serviced. I told them I did not want to pay for a defective washing machine. I purchased a brand new washing machine with the belief that it was in working order as expected. Conns refused to exchange the product and told me that I have to get it serviced. A serviceman came and told me that the entire control panel is defective and needs to be replaced. I once again called conns and informed them that they delivered to me a defective product and once again ask them to exchange it. They refused.

You don't want to read this

"MY wife and I bought a new washer and dryer two days ago at CONN's in Conroe, Texas. Was to be delivered today- set up and the old units carried off. Had to cancel the appointment with my Dr in whose office I sat in - because my wife called to tell me that the service guy would not hook the new unit to a corroded faucet. My wife has a few problems- and she was pretty upset- so I headed home. Called CONN's while driving home to see if the installer might call me and tell me about the problem. Meanwhile- I called a plumber - thinking something was bad wrong. I was told that 'I' would have to call the service department - but that he could give me the number. I had no paper nor pen - and he cared not - I would have to call the service Dept myself. I did. It took 72 miles of driving to reach a person and was a waster of time. The lady with whom I spoke looked at the installers report and agreed that my faucets were too corroded. I got home - pulled into our drive - and could see my new washer and dryer sitting inside our garage. The plumber arrived moments later. Told them the situation and off they went to fix it - except that they came back to tell me that nothing was wrong with anything and that there was no corrosion. I stood and watched as they removed the hose connections with their fingers from new valves from my last CONN's purchase incident. As it stands now- I am out a Doctors fee, the new units we bought ( because I cannot move them myself- fuel for a wasted trip to the DR. and the cost of two Plumbers. I am now 'WAITING' to see if they choose to come and get the stuff we bought and fully refund me - or send someone that will hook it up. No matter what- it will for certain be my final CONN"S experience. I hope to live long enough to get my wife a new dryer and washer and seriously doubt that I will live to need another new one. Were I you- I would scratch this business from any list you may have. The is for certain the worse deal I have ever stepped in to. My wife is a survivor of a Massive Brain Aneurysm in 2007. She is not even supposed to be here. She is somewhat brain damaged and walks - but very slowly. I chanced leaving her here alone thinking that all would go well. My bubble is busted!! If CONN"S reads this before doing something 'for' us - I fully expect that they will retaliate. At this point - I think that they are not above doing that.
