"They have the right name Conns for a reason con you out of your money! I had an open account already went to purchase an air conditioner unit for $600 with the $250 gift card they gave me for my first purchase the manager said the machine is down you can apply it towards your next month payment. Called to use it they said I can only purchase an item not make a payment remind you I paid $600 cash for the air conditioner unit. They will never get my business ever again."

Dishwasher Installation Irritations

"The online purchase process was easy enough; however, if you're ordering an appliance online, here are some things we found out the hard way you might also want to know: a) online purchases are made through the e-commerce dept, so if you call to speak with someone or to change your order/delivery/etc, you must ask for the e-commerce team (the reg support team will help you and say they've changed your delivery date but it will not be complete bc they can't actually do it...you'll get 25 calls saying your delivery is still on the original date/time); b) if you purchase installation services, read all your email correspondence carefully...bc delivery and installation dates are probably not the same. We've now had to schedule time off to be home for the installation crew and that's super inconvenient; c) if you plan to have your dishwasher installed, you MUST purchase the universal hookup kit from Conn's. It's cheaper to buy the exact same thing from Amazon, but my husband knew they'd require we purchase from them so we did...when I called to talk to customer support I asked if we really had to and he confirmed that yes, they do require we purchase their hookup kit.
Other than finding out the hard way that the installation and haul-away services we paid over $200 for are not scheduled the same as the delivery, I'm of average satisfaction with my purchase.

What a lousy company is Conn's. Customer service is atrocious.

"I've called ***-***-**** numerous times to no avail. Customer service never answers the phone. Something very fishy about Conn's. It doesn't seem to be legit."

Conn's mean rip-off business.

"Worst business ever. Don't buy anything from conn's cause the products are old and used and broken down. No customer should went through nightmare the day the unprofessional delivery brought the complete bed set. I am glad that I have legal representative to stop conn's from rep-off anybody. Don't buy from conn's please before your wasting your time to contact their bed business people that works there. "

Fake salesperson

"My 72 yr old mother was conned by a woman who did not even work there. Sat down and took all her information on a laptop or tablet and a $100 deposit and lady did not even work there. My mom is old school and ignorant when it comes to electronics so she took as new age way. How does an employee/salesperson not notice a customer."

Your name fits what you do

"I had to redo my home after I had bad tenants. I bought a stove from cons for $1045. I would have had no issues even if they charged me an extra $100. I got the stove Monday, May 24th, got paid that Friday, then came back the following Monday to pay it all in full. I was charged an extra $500 because I paid it off in one week instead of two years. When I asked why, I was told that it’s their policy due to early payment, and that it could have been worse, because if I would have waited two years it would’ve been $2800. So I got penalized $500 because I paid the bill in a week instead of 2 years. Then I was told, I’m so sorry, the person who sold it to you should have told you that, sooo.. And the female ACTUALLY said, SOOO, like, who cares? Unacceptable!"

Not forthcoming!

"My wife purchased over $2,000 worth of furniture which also included an ottoman. The purchase was made in the mid March of this year. We have yet, to receive the ottoman after being told numerous times it was in the process of being shipped. We were told it would be delivered March 31st, and was then told an entire different story after March 31st. One sales manager even told us that it was in the warehouse awaiting shipment within a week, then a week later changed his story to saying the manufacturer of the ottoman was searching for one ... which seems pretty odd that the "manufacturer" of the item would be "searching" for one. The store does not even bother to call with updates. Prior to making the purchases, they assure us the items will be delivered within two weeks. It appears they deliberately lied just to make a sale. Still no Ottoman. We will never shop there again! Still no ottoman has arrived. "

Junk at conns rip off store

"I bought a $499 ac unit on credit.i was told with tax it was $525 .ive paid $337 on it already and now they say i still owe $337.hows those to figures ad upto $525? I called to find out whats going on.kept getting the run around and getting hung up on.si i called the store where i got it and asked to talk to the girl who helps me.to no surprise she dont work there no more.the ac does not cool.they said from day one when i brought it home that i couldnt return it.even though its junk.makes a noise.conns is really a con.DO NOT SHOP HERE.THEY INSIST I STILL OWE MORE THEN I DO.THEY NOW SAY that with tax and stuff my price was $575 up $50 from what i was told.ive paid $337 on $575 which leaves me owing $238.they say pay off is $337.that dont ad up.stay far away frim junk and con at conns"

"Didn’t get my delivery when said it was and never received a call,was told I was going to get a LG 55”tv because they didn’t have the free one and then they said they didn’t say that and ended up getting a open box one which is a used tv like a refurbished one.now I know why the store is name CONN’S"

Do Not Buy Electronics Here

"In the past 2 weeks my husband and I purchased furniture and a laptop at the store in Goodyear. The staff is friendly and the furniture is great quality. I was told that they had a two-week return policy on the electronics with a 15% restocking fee. When we tried to return the laptop they had so many loopholes that we couldn't return or even exchange it! So be warned that their 14-day return policy is backed up with so much small print that really you can't return anything. So please be cautious when purchasing electronics from Conns. You're better off going to Best buy or any other store that specializes in electronics who will take returns or make exchanges rather than trusting Conn's furniture for this kind of purchase."

Please READ the contract? Please?

"Conn’s can and will collect 100% interest rate. I have completed my payment of $2400 for the products I selected at Conn’s. Due to requested deferments, Conn’s is now collecting $2400 in interest in which I must pay because I care about my credit. I believe this is unethical but Conn’s has justified this practice due to the fact that, “I signed the contract.” Just would like to warn everyone to please reconsider credit with Conn’s (Say NO..to “YES MONEY”). Please read the contract? Please?"

Avoid at all cost

"Went to the location on West Rd. So I was referred to this Conns Oulet because I was in the market for a washer and dryer, when I went in it was your typical Conns... salesmen just trying to make a sale. I had the salesman Chris and I ended up purchasing a LG washer and dryer and a recliner chair for $1,300, completed everything and paid cash. My brother went to pick up my items 2 days later due to Easter when he noticed the dryer didn’t have a cord, he called me and I had no clue about why because I was asked by Chris what type and gave him the information. My brother explained to the manager that the dryer needed a cord when the manager Christian told him it was going to be an additional $30 for the cord. Long story short the salesman Chis lied about explaining that I would have to purchase a cord, they got rude so I told him keep the washer and dryer and give me a refund.. I’ve never seen customer service like this, then Chris said that this an Outlet store I don’t have to have customer service because this sales itself. I guess because they in the hood they have that mentality of how they can treat you.. I took my money and spent it in Pearland where I live and got a better deal without all the extra drama. Moral of the story spend your money where you’re appreciated"
