"While the product order was fine, the delivery process was terrible. The trucking company did not have a website as discussed, repeatedly missed appointments and when delivering actually required my wife to tell him how to properly handle the dolly. He then didn't think he could get it up 4 steps, requiring my wife to litterally push the dolly and load from below so he could pull it up the steps. Never have I had such a terrible delivery of an order nor could my wife believe she had to physically help him deliver it when we paid to have it delivered. While I liked your ordering service and product, I'll never use you again with this kind of service delivery.

"Placed an order for a fridge on 04/24/10 online. I called to reassure that the fridge was in stock and inquire when it would be shipped. I was put on hold and then told they checked and said it was in stock and ready to be shipped th following day. After 2 weeks, I still had not heard anything. I called back and was assured it was on it's way. They also said they'd call back with tracking information. I never got a call back. I called again the next day and spoke with Dan, the manager. He too said everything was fine and he'd call back with more information. I got not call. The next day I called and got the same run around. The day after that, I called and was put on hold for approximately 30 min while they were supposedly checking. Finally I was told that the fridge was out of stock until the end of june. To make matters worse, I shopped around during this ordeal and found it cheaper at several places. I finally got Buyers Edge to cancel my order. I now can try and do my part by warning people to stay away unless they like headaches and misery. My family has been without a fridge for a month because of this poor store and they just don't care. "

"TOTAL SCAM PLACE. This is one of those places that takes your order, then sends you an email asking you to call their 800 number. Then they try to sell you accessories. When you tell them to ship just what you ordered they will try to get you to add a non-billing address to your credit card. And get this...the guy that I spoke to...he called himself "Tommy Gun" Seriously? People fall for this stuff? THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL SCAM. Ordered a BBQ from them because the price was great and no shipping...it was TOO good to be true. Don't fall for it and order from a company you know instead. I canceled my order and am ordering through a reputable company."

"I ordered a washer online and a few days later I was contacted and offered first Threshold Plus for $69.99 and then a 3-year warranty. I asked questions about the warranty they were offering but never got a satisfactory answer. I did purchase the Threshold Plus delivery option. I received a computer generated phone call letting me know how to schedule the delivery of my washer. By tracking the shipment I see that the washer arrived in my city at 7:00 AM on 05/04/2010. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday 05/05/2010 between noon and 4:00 PM. The delivery was never made and no one ever made an effort to contact me for an explanation and to reschedule. At 4:30 I contacted customer service at Manna Distribution and was told that they would look into it and call me right back. After not hearing back from anyone for an hour and 15 minutes I made another call and this time I was put on hold while she looked into it. She came back on the line and said that the washer had not arrived until a "couple" of hours ago and they would not be able to deliver it until the next day. I definitely had a problem with this because first of all I knew that the washer had actually arrived a day and a half before this phone call, second of all I had given up a half day's wages to wait during the prearranged delivery time, and third of all absolutly no one made any attempt to call in order to reschedule. The only attempt that was made on my behalf was they wanted to reschedule delivery for the next day. I was not about to loose any more wages as I already knew they were not to be trusted because they lied about when the washer arrived and then made no attempt to deliver it on time. Delivery has been rescheduled for today between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. I can only hope they will make the effort to deliver it.

Though I originally had no issue with Buyer's Edge, I now have a big issue with them because they make the choice on what delivery companies they will work with and the fact that they are willing to give work to such a disreputable company. I refuse to be treated like this when I am the customer. I was going to purchase the matching dryer, however it will NOT be from Buyer's Edge.

Update: A gentleman from Buyer's eEge contacted me yesterday afternoon and offered to refund my freight charge. I declined the offer of the refund and said what would make me happy would be for him to deal with their vendor. He assured me that they would. The delivery was rescheduled for between 6:00 PM & 8:00 PM yesterday. A representative from Manna Distribution called at 7:45 and asked how the delivery went. I explained that it had not arrived yet and she said that she would call me back. Just a few minutes later a rented truck backed into my driveway. The two gentlemen that made the delivery were very courteous and helpful. They removed the carton so I could inspect the merchandise and even hauled the carton away. The Manna Distribtion representative called a few minutes later and I told her how well the delivery went. A manager from Manna Distribution called later in the evening and apologized for the way I was treated the previous day and offered to refund the freight charge. Again, I declined the refund and asked that they deal with the parties responsible for the original scheduled delivery. All in all I'm very pleased with the washer and the very low price that I was able to purchase it at; I'm also pleased with the assurance I got from both Buyer's Edge and Manna Distribution that they would deal appropriately with the party responsible for the orignal delivery. Because of this assurance (I'm trusting that they will follow through) I have reconsidered and decided that I WILL give Buyer's Edge my business again. You can't beat the price, but it's not worth what I went through. I do hope that the situation does not repeat itself.

"After I placed the order I recieved a call back from the company trying to sell me ascessories, which I declined. I haven't recieved an email as to when it'll ship (which was to be after 2 days). Calling them I was told to wait after the weekend for sure on Monday I'll get the confirmation(that never happened). Customer Care phone number always seems to have a problem(if you choose that extention you'll get a curt "Good-By") so you would have to call again, and again and finally try to choose "sales" so you would have a person to take the calls. Long story short, if I hadn't been calling I would not have known that the camera will never ship because now thier saying it is a discontinued model(not true). Oh! but they could offer me another model(which I said NO THANKS)What a waste of my time. When were they going to tell me, about this so called discontinued camera. I told them to Cancel my order. And hopefully, my creditcard wouldn't be charged. I have to wait 7 days to make sure. What a rip off."

"Update 4/29/2010
It seems that this company really monitor's its ratings on this website. I spoke to Tommy on the phone, and there may have been a misunderstanding. He wanted to make it clear that my getting the fridge was not conditional on whether I purchased the 5 year extended warranty. He offered to make things right by giving me a free upgrade to in-home delivery. I decided not to take the offer, my confidence with Buyer's Edge is a bit shaken. No doubt they have great prices plus they don't charge me tax in CA. I think I'll live with my old fridge a little bit longer.

Company calls 5 days after I put the order in. Their representative try's to sell me on an 5 year extended warranty on the Samsung RF266AERS 25.8 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator claiming that the service would not be provided by a third party repair shop but by Samsung themselves. I call Samsung and they don't offer any extended warranty services on their refrigerator, they come with a 5 year warranty on the compressor and refrigerant and a 1 year warranty on everything. I leave Tommy (800-320-519, extension 266) at buyer's edge a message saying I'm not interested in his 5 year extended warranty and indoor delivery service, I just want the fridge. The response? "It will take a couple weeks to process". mm-hmm. ok, I'll just cancel my order then. I give their customer service number a call ***-***-****) "press 1 for sales, press 2 for customer service" , "press 1 for billing, press 2 for customer service" "goodbye" . I call again this time pressing 1 for billing. I get an answering machine.

You can't trust a company that automatically hangs up on your when you call their customer service.

"I ordered a washer for my parents and opted for the $89.99 deliver which said that the item would be brought in the home but when the deliver people had arrived they had told my parents that they don’t place the item in the home just by the door. Now my parents are both in there late 60’s and that’s the reason why I went with the upgraded deliverer so my parents would not be bothered with this and that it would have been placed in the home "DONE". If I would have known that this was not the case I would had been here myself to take care of it and not opted for the upgraded deliver. Byersedge had agreed to refund me the $89.99 for the deliver they charged me as of Friday 4/16/10 and the customer service department was very helpful. The prices and items at buyeredge are good and I would buy again from buyersedge but I would be careful of the deliver company being used. "

"I ordered a Sony hd LCD 2 weeks ago and the order has yet to ship. They keep promising that the order will be sent out the next day but it never ships. If it does not ship today I am going to cancel my order. I think the very least they could do is overnight the TV to me seeing as I paid for expedited shipping expecting the tv to have been here no later than Wednesday. The site said the TV was in stock and just getting off the phone with them they said they were "Expecting" a shipment of these TV's yesterday but what I don't understand is if they were in stock why are they just getting it in yesterday 12 days after I ordered?"

"DO NOT SHOP FROM THES SITE! They have POOR customer service. No one EVER calls you back. There is rarely anyone in customer service to help you. I ordered a range on 3/7. About 2 weeks later, a salesman contacted me to inform me that this item was discontinued, but he said there was another identical range that it could be replaced with. It was just a newer model number. He said that he would contact me and let me know when it would ship. I never heard from him again, despite calling and leaving a message. On 4/7, one month later, I still had not heard anything about my range. So, I called again. After being on hold for 7 minutes, I spoke with a girl in customer service. She told me that a gentleman was going to help me and proceeded to put me on hold for another 11 minutes! When I finally spoke with this gentleman, he told me that he was going to look into my case and call me back within 10 minutes. I told him that I really didn't want to hang up because every time someone from his company promises to call me back, they never do. He promised he would, but, not surprisingly, never did. I finally left him a message that I would like to cancel my purchase. Buyers Edge charged my credit card within a week of the purchase. Even though no range has been shipped, I have been paying interest on it for over 3 weeks! Additionally, out of the 6 times I called and punched in "customer service," only once did I ever talk to anyone in customer service. The other times a tiny voice said, "Goodbye," and disconnected me. I can not express strongly enough how much I DO NOT recommend this seller.

Also, I would NOT trust any of the 5- or 4-check reviews on this site. Tommy, from Buyers Edge called me today, after seeing the negative review (above) and offered me either a $50 merchandise credit + free shipping or an additional 3-year warranty on the range (if I was able to find it anywhere else) if I changed my review. I told them that I would add a paragraph to my review stating that Buyers Edge had phoned and tried to make it better. However, Tommy was not satisfied with this. He asked me to do him a "favor," and give Buyers Edge 5-checks. I told him that the most I could give them was 3-checks. Then he offered me more stuff (warranties/service plans/etc.) if I would change my review and give them 5-checks! They are paying disgruntled customers off for higher, undeserved ratings! This is SO UNDERHANDED and devious! It looks to me as if some of the negative reviews on this site that other unsatisfied customers left have been changed just since I left my original review (There are 2 a few reviews down that specifically mention Tommy's name.) Many people are probably willing to change their review to 5-checks for $50 credit and free shipping or some other benefit/upgrade. Tommy said he would still give me the warranty if I revised my review, even with just 3-checks, and that I would receive an email from him about this. Well, I haven't heard from him (no surprise there) and I really don't want to deal with such a "shady" company. On top of that, he called me on my cell phone, not my home phone, so I'm out a bunch of minutes (he kept me on the phone so long, I started to get annoyed.)

"Bought a stove, paid an extra $40 to "schedule" delivery instead of just an 8 hour notice. A few days later the guy I talked to when I bought the item called me, to ask if I'd heard from the delivery driver yet. When I said no, he gave me his number and said I should call the driver...who does this?
With no "coordination", the driver ended up telling me that the item was on the truck and would be dropped off the next day. I told him that no one would be home between 1 and 4. He went on about how everyone wants him to come after 4 and how he needs to stop at all these different cities. I mentioned that I had paid an extra fee for some flexibility in delivery time- which he seemed unaware of or at least not concerned about. He said I should just leave work to sign for the item. When I told him that this was not possible, he said "we'll work it out tomorrow" and promised to "keep in touch". The next call I got was from the driver the next day and he was 10 minutes away from my house. I was at work.
I ended up agreeing that he could just leave it in my driveway in the rain. After 3 days of emails and phone calls I finally got someone to agree to credit my card for that 40 bucks.
The good part is that the $697 stove can't be found in stores for under $800 plus tax. I guess you can afford to be the cheapest when you hire a bunch of incompetent salesmen, drivers and customer service workers!
Update:
So I got a call from a guy at Buyer's Edge who saw this review pending and offered me an extended warranty if I gave a positive review. I told him that I still had not received my $40 refund that I was waiting for. He said he'd work on it. 2 weeks later and I actually got my 40 bucks back. I'd rather post an honest review here, than get paid off with an extended warranty. I forgot to mention, like some others, I also had automated customer service hang up on me repeatedly, and when I did get through I was put on hold for inordinate amounts of time. The website has a lot of glitches too. Also- it's confusing with this "Butterfly Electronics" on my statement, and on some of the answering machines.
I would rather pay a few more bucks for the peace of mind than deal with this disorganized company that clearly has no real interest in doing things the right way or gaining a customer base. My opinion- uses one of the others that are in similar price range!

"I bought two sd-cards through Bing because it was very cheap. However, I never received them. I called them in January and they told me that they were out of order and would ship them a week later when they arrive. Now it's march and noone is answering my call. "I don't have much cause for much complaint because the order arrived three days after I placed the order, (good idea to verify by phone that the item is really in stock before you hit the button,) the price was great and the LG Dryer is super but a few things irked me in the process. I placed the order on a Friday and called them on Sunday to ask its status. Spoke to Victor who said that the 2-4 days for shipping stated on the website meant time to get it from the warehouse, not time to get it to you. (I was also told the warehouse was in California.) Victor said it could be 10-12 more days before I actually see the dryer at my home. He asked if I expected to see it sooner and I said yes. Also, "Free Shipping" is curbside delivery. It's $40 more to have them bring it inside the house. There are also additional charges for installation and removal of the old appliance if you're interested in it, which I wasn't. The truckers were supposed to call and set up a day and time to deliver. They didn't. On the following Wednesday, I received a call at work on my cell that they had the dryer in their truck and if they couldn't delivery it right then, I'd have to set up another day and time. Luckily, I was able to take time from my day and drive home to receive it. Nice delivery men but they ought to be spoken to about the definition of "making an appointment" to deliver. As I said, minor complaints in the process but the dryer is great. "

"Placed order on 3/6/2010 for a stainless steel LG 25 cubic foot french door refrigerator. Got a call on 3/7/2010 regarding shipping options. They charged my credit card this same day (3/7/2010). I had not heard from them for a couple of weeks, so I called and was told that the item was being prepared for shipping. A few days later, no update, no tracking number, no communication whatsoever. So I call and am told that the item is being shipped directly from LG, so a tracking number will be issued shortly. A few days later, still nothing, so I call and am told their computer system was down, but a tracking number should be issued in the next day or two. What a major hastle! And still no outcome - no tracking number and no communication whatsoever. Highly recommend to avoid doing business with this so called company. "

"Buyer's Edge had the best combination of item price and freight cost on the microwave/convection oven I wanted to purchase. The ordering process was simple, and they kept me updated with shipping/tracking information. The oven was shipped promptly and came in on time as expected. They followed up with a courtesy call to make sure that I was happy with the service and that my item arrived in good shape. I order online frequently, and this is the type of service that is great to experience. I would shop with Buyer's Edge again."
