Discontinued meds

"I am having a difficult time getting my refill this month. I never got the reminder call and went to call last week and was told my meds were discontinued in their system. The lady then told me that I was out of refills and my doctor has to send over a new refill sheet. She told me to call back Monday. I call back Monday and inform them that my rx bottle says I have 9 refills left so it’s not out of refills. They then tell me that it is discontinued and I have to call my dr to have it restated in their system. I ask them who discontinued it and they didn’t know. Back in the summer, they mailed a rx to my old house from over five years ago after they have been sending my meds to my current address for over two years. The staff at briova really need to gain an education. It’s so frustrating and so annoying. I have multiple sclerosis and it makes it hard to not get stressed out when dealing with this company. The meds I am on have had studies done that if the med is stopped suddenly, I could go into a severe relapse. I have two pills left and I swear I will sue them for stupidity if this doesn’t get resolved in time. "

Negligent people who have no clue what they are doing.

"My husband has Multiple Sclerosis, and requires a daily medication to help him with his walking. Every time we have to request a refill, there is always a problem. Either they ask about refills for previous medications that were supposedly taken off his list, or they claim they need prior authorization from his doctors even when they have already been sent to them. The people on the phone NEVER have my husbands correct refill information no mater how many years he has been on this current medication. The people we speak to always have an Indian accent with an attitude and never act like they even want to help us. There have been times that my husband has hung up due to sitting on hold for 40+ minutes waiting for someone to get back to him. Not only are the people rude, but they must be stupid as well, because most of the time they either don't have a clue how to work their OWN online system, or they don't even bother to do for you what they say they are going to do to help. We have been told numerous times that meds have been sent out for delivery, but in reality they haven't even been sent. I can't even count how many times my poor hubby has had to go days without his walking meds.
The most recent problem occurred when my hubby had been calling them a few times a day for almost 2 weeks to try and get his prescription refilled. After days of talking to idiots who can't\won't help, calling back and forth with his doctors to try and find an error on their side,(which there never is), they tell him today that their system is down and to call back in three hours. 3 hours go by, we call back and they tell us that we need to call back in 10 minutes. We wait. We call back. They tell us the same thing again. We are tired of the run around. This is not this first time this has happened. We once had to go as far as screaming with them on the phone and asking for their higher-ups to express how frustrated we are. And after screaming at these people, MIRACULOUSLY they are all of a sudden able to help. It's sad that it takes THAT MUCH AGGRESSION in order to get things done. Worst company we have ever had to deal with. Is ALMOST as bad as United Healthcare itself.

Absolutely Horrible Costumer Service

"I waited on hold for 45 minutes for somebody in India to have a major attitude with me. He also refused to connect me to the survey at the end of the phone call. He just kept putting me on hold over and over for 15-20 minutes at a time. Then hung up on me. THE WORST!!!!!!!"

Worst EVER!!!

"It took 6 months for them to fix my online account, but you can't do anything with that account - like reorder your refills. They call a week or more ahead of your refill time. But won't ship it until you are going to be out. Too many times - they put a hold on your order and DON'T call you. "

Horribly company to do business with

"I have filled the same 5 prescriptions with them for 8+ years. Every time I call it seems they can not keep their s*** together. They loose a co-pay card information. They only send 4 medications. They try and charge my insurance for the name brand when I have filled the generic, which is what my insurance covers. They act like this is the first time they have heard from me. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. The only reason I fill with them is because my insurance forces me to go through them. If you can AVOID them at ALL COSTS. "

"Prescription received by Briova 11/11/19,called by Briova next day and shipment on its way via Fedex. Have been dealing with Briova for almost 1 year and its always the same, never a problem. I have no reason to believe it won't continue.

Incompetent and uncaring.

"I am a transplant patient, and have been having issues with Briova and their affiliate, OptumRX ever since my employers switched to UHC in 2016. Six months out the hospital, and I have to fight with them for hours to even get them to start filling my medications. Over the years, I have had constant issues with them almost monthly. From them, not sending medications, lying about trying to contact my doctors for them to authorize refills on expired prescriptions, and just plain being uncaring about their customers that depend on these medications to stay alive.

My two most recent issues with them involved my most important anti rejection medication. Last month, it wasn't delivered on time because the person I had spoke to the previous week when I placed my order never even submitted my order. Luckily that time I had enough medication from a previous prescription that I never got to finish because the doctors changed my dosages.

This week, I had the exact same issue again. I placed a refill order for this same medication the week before I knew I was going to run out and I was told it would be here the following Tuesday. I get home that night and find no medication had been delivered. I immediately called them and was first transferred to another department for whatever reason and the next person had me on hold for 15 minutes, before I called from my other phone to see if they answered. I was finally able to get through, so I hung up on the other call. This new person was just as unhelpful, first she told me that she had no records of my order the previous week and her records indicated that my doctors cancelled this prescription a month ago which was a straight lie. At this point I was fed up and really let her have it. Only after this did she miraculously find my order but had no explanation on why I never received. The only thing she could tell me was one half was "in transit" and the other half couldn't be delivered until Thursday. I told her this was unacceptable and I expected it to be here today and that I only had two more doses before I was out and Thursday would be too late. She put me on hold for what seemed like an eternity. (My phone says my time on the phone with them last night was 52 mins and 50 secs). FINALLY someone else comes on the line and tell me that they would try to find a local pharmacy to transfer my prescription to, but it couldn't be until the morning.

This morning comes and I do get two calls from the same lady last night and she tells me that no local pharmacy has this medication, but that CVS Mail order would be able to take over my prescription and to expect a call from them. I wait nearly 4 hours and no call. Luckily the previous night I send a message to my transplant coordinator that BriovaRx screwed up again and I am in danger of missing doses. The hospital got me in contact with their local specialty pharmacy and they were able to get the prescription sent to them. Its now 5:30 pm EST, and I FINALLY got my medications with only 5 hours to spare; no thanks to Briova.

This mail order pharmacy is the worse I've ever dealt with. It's both mind blowing and saddening that they continue to play with people's lives with their constant screw ups, and down right incompetence. Despite my issues with them, I consider myself to be one of the lucky ones, I have no doubt other patients have lost their transplanted organs, suffered severe medical problems, and even lost their lives due to the negligent actions of this pharmacy.

Meds not received for over 5 days only shipped needles

"Ordered a refill for my son that was supposed to arrive on Saturday. Saturday came and the box was left but no meds only needles. 3 hours on phone with them on Saturday only to find out the medication did not ship, hung up on twice, asked for a supervisor never got on. Transferred and told meds would arrive on Tuesday, Tuesday came no meds. Called again 2 hangups and finally got someone who cared. Meds being shipped out of different location and should arrive today. What a joke."

The absolute WORST ever !!!

"My employer switches health plans like women buy shoes. See's a purdy one, he buys it. I take Humira every two weeks for Psorisis. It has to be on the same day. I have to go through a 20-30 minute phone call once a month to get it. Say my name, birthday and address at every step... HEY, if I had to say my name and birthday to get to a live person, do ya think it's gonna change in the 10 minutes it took you to pick up my call? THEN, you switch me to another person, Birthday, name and address AGAIN! Then EVERY month there's an issue, "we can't send it today due to the weekend,"- I don't have proof you paid your bill 3 months ago" Do you want a signature required?" Yes I say, then the guy just leaves a $1500.00 med box on the front porch in a bad neighborhood. If I don't take it on the correct day, skin turns to scalesd, itches and burns.... I'm a Paramedic for 35 years, I know what BURN means. And it burns. My joints swell to the point they feel like it's going to pop through the skin. And it takes me going to my dermatologist to get and extra booster and pills to get it to where it's close to normal again AND have to wait a week for the booster which is only ONE while I have to wait until Boriva pulls their noggin out of their **** and send the right amount,
and even then it takes a week to get back to where I don't burn, itch and swell. I should'nt have to spend 30-40 minutes on the phone every time. I should be able to order more than a one month dose from them if my Dr. clears it (Which she has, Briova won't do it.), and there should'nt have to be this repeating my name, address, birthday, first child's social security number everytime a new person picks up the phone. Lousy customer service as well.

Missed two deliveries out of 3

"So far they have missed two out of three deliveries for a drug to boost white blood cell counts, during chemotherapy. Their customer service / order fulfillment is located in the Philippines, and are difficult to communicate effectively with. Apparently these individuals have the power and authority to modify shipping and delivery in the states such that Doctors and pharmacist instructions don’t get filled. does this sound like the quality of care that employers want for their workers. I don’t think so."

Too bad there isn’t a rating for less than 1 star

"I have Systemic Lupus. My life depends on medications I must take daily. In the past I requested a refill of my Lupus medication, received the email notice the refill request was in progress and that my meds would be delivered within 10 days.

10+ days later and no meds. Briovarx cancelled the refill. By the time I finally received the refill I had gone 10 days without medication, was in a Lupus flare and had to use vacation time off from work to recover.

2nd incident - My Dr prescribed the BRAND version of a lupus medication for me because the generic version didn’t work. This is called dispense as written. Briovarx ignored the dispense as written order, changed the script to generic and told me I couldn’t refill the prescription until over a month later. Again I went without critical medication and suffered a lupus flare because of it.

Terrible Pharmacy and Customer Service

"Briova called me and left a message that sounded like a scam. I called back they asked me personal information but they said they did not have anything for me. I am currently pregnant and unfortunately my insurance chose this provider for a particular medicine. It took several phone call attempts for them to find my prescription. Every call lasted at least 25 minutes, they kept asking bogus questions. They finally shipped the prescription to my doctors office. Now I received a bill to my house which I am trying to pay in their ridiculous website and it's not possible. I decided to call and surprisingly they can't verify my information... I am not mailing a check and it does not give an option to pay in another way. So in general the whole experience it's been awful with them. "

THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!!

"Worst service ever! You will sit on hold for hours on end and never reach anyone no matter what time or day you try to call them! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Unfortunately I have to deal with them monthly and can only call in due to my prescription (humira) that they make me have to call in!

I suspect they only have 1 star because 0 stars is not an option!

Briova worst experience ever!

"Briova called and left an automated message saying it was time for me to refill my prescription. I've been doing this for almost two years, so I'm no stranger to that. I give it a few days, and call to reorder. Upon calling, I am told (by a super rude and unprofessional associate) that there is an issue with my order. The frustratingly impossible to understand associate then proceeded to put me on a 35-40 min hold. Then come back to tell me that they were going to work on the issue, and call me back with a resolution. Flash forward almost a month. I've been on hold with them for approximately 6 hours of my life at this point. Had multiple people give me multiple stories, like my copay assistance card had expired, I was ordering too soon, and *my personal fave* ... I had ordered from a different pharmacy and then tried ordering through them..... I had to drive 45 mins out of my way to my rheumatologist, in the meantime, to pick up a sample dose so that I wouldn't miss my meds. My husband used an hour's worth of PTO time to accommodate my kids getting off the school bus that day. Finally, was transferred to patient advocate department and after speaking with TWO people there..... Was finally told that it was a system error, basically due to the merge with OptumRX.... They had given me a delivery date.... Taken Co pay from my account.... And held my meds for over a month. With barely an apology. I finally get my meds today (over a month late) and the mishandling of my package was disappointing, to say the least. Missing a warm indicator card, my subcutaneous injections had moisture built up inside their plastic packaging, thrown together sloppily with the box all bent up.
I WILL be calling my insurance provider to find another specialty pharmacy within our Network tomorrow. I recommend anyone who CAN stay away from this company, DO SO!!!! They are unprofessional, irresponsible and downright lazy. So disappointed in them.
