When I went to check out, I was hit with a charge of $8.59 to mail a CD.
Building profit into "shipping and handling" charges is not an acceptable practice on the internet, and most companies have stopped using this practice. It is dishonest.

"Everything was satisfactory until the I received my tracking number for the shipment. When I select two day shipping at exceptionally high price, I expect that it's going to be shipped using a method that guarantees two day shipping such as UPS 2-day air. Instead, for $24 my under 5 pound package was shipped UPS Ground.
Their response to me indicated that they had to pay a fee to have their vendor dropship the item to me. They do not give any indication of this on their site. To me, this is a deceptive practice. Had I known this up front, I would not have ordered from them. UPS Ground does NOT guarantee two day shipments as opposed to 2nd Day Air which does.

"I don't understand how this company has these ratings. The original order I placed was on 1/6/2004 for a LCD monitor, The monitor came in an not factory sealed box and has some dead pixels. Replacement monitor was order the day after delivery 1/14/04. BCD2000 has a 0 dead pixel policy. It seams that they are clearly draging their feet with their warranty to avoid an return of a defective monitor, so the consummer is left to deal with the factory warranty. "
"I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from BDC2000. The boasted "Same day shipment on orders processed before 12:00pm" statement posted on their web site is a farce. I placed my order before 12pm on 1/21/04 and paid extra for 2nd day shipment. The day after placing my order, I visited their order status page which showed my order as "not shipped". I placed a call with them to follow up on the order. The customer service representative I spoke with stated that the order had shipped that morning (1/22) and that the web site hadn't updated yet. The next day (1/23), I checked the order status again. Still showed "not shipped". A second call was placed to BDC2000 to follow up on the order. The second call yielded the same results as the first. I was told the order had shipped on 1/22 and that I should be receiving the items by Monday 1/26. On Monday (1/26) the items still hadn't arrived. Checked the order status page, which still showed "not shipped". By now I know I've been getting the run-around from these people regarding my order. A third call was placed. Again, I was told the order had shipped on Thursday(1/22), but he would have to call me back with the tracking information within 10 minutes. Never called back after an hour. After a FOURTH call and insisting I get to the bottom of this, low and behold the order never shipped! I'm now set back 1 full week from the original date of the order, and this reflects upon me and my business. They must think the extra charge for special (2nd day) delivery means they can sit on the order for a few days. ? Needless to say, this will be my first and last purchase from BDC2000, Inc."

"Ok Ive read through many of the reviews and noticed ther were some very disturbing statements made in reguards to other customers dealings with BCD2000 Inc. I recently placed an order myself and recieved a comfromation of my order quickly and also actualy had to ask a question and it was reponded to very quickly. My order comfomation was recieved in my email on the 22nd I check order status today the 23rd and already had a tracking number ,checked that and its on it s way.
If you look at all the reviews as a whole you will notice that the poor reviews are in and around christmas time wich is the busiest time of the year for every company and some of the other are dated back a year ago most likely when the company was some what new so although some customers have had bad dealings with BCD2000 Inc. this does not account for the other hundreds of satisfied customers. Dont misunderstand me some of the things i read in the reviews are unacceptable but in large business you cant have a 100% satisfaction rating no matter who you are not even Microsoft has that and Im sure the CEO of BCD2000 Inc also reads these reviews and makes changes to polocy according to these. So in conclusion I will do future business with BCD2000 Inc.

"Reasons to avoid BCD2000.com
1) Padded Reseller Rating.
BCD2000 has offered a $5 “shipping refund” for buyers leaving positive feedback.
3) Poor customer service, very slow to respond.
Responses frequently took several days when trying to deal with an incorrectly shipped item.
4) Items ordered may be freely substituted without notice!
I don't know about you, but when I order a computer component, I am usually looking for the _exact_ model I ordered. Again, don't know about you, but I don't feel substitutions are appropriate, let along with out customer authorization!
4) Finally, website product descriptions and model #'s may not be accurate.
In my case, the item I ordered 3 months ago –- which was substituted for an entirely different part, the item I was told was no longer made by MS, and therefore would not be ever stoked again by this online vendor -- is still listed on their web site!!
To BCD2000, please consider the following:
-Product substitution without customer authorization is a terrible policy.
-Even worse, incorrect model numbers, especially on an online store front, should be definitely be avoided.
-Spending a few dollars, such on returning shipping in event an item substitution is unacceptable to a customer, could go a long way. Seriously, I could be leaving positive feedback now and could even possibly order from you all again, instead of having
to go to the hassle of disputing the credit card charge.
