"I've have used Travelex in the past many times with no problem. When my wife and I travel by air, we take a policy and make the breeder of our two dogs the beneficiary. The new website does not permit that. I called the Help line and was told to get the policy and contact Customer Solutions and they would modify the policy and send me a policy showing the breeder as the beneficiary. I sent an email requesting this change on April 16th. To date, I have received nothing."
"We have used Travelex multiple times in the past because it has good coverage for the cost. We've never needed to file a claim so I cannot comment on their process. Unfortunately, after purchasing this insurance for this trip, I did find a better deal elsewhere so I will be shopping around again the next time we need travel insurance. Hope they are still competitive then!"

"Bought your insurance on two flights scheduled for the Christmas Holidays.. I am 79 years old and when the Government Health Officials recommend you not fly, I thought that was reason enough to cancel. I went through the process, including scanning 11 pages. I was denied due to exclusions that meant that I canceled for no acceptable reason. I was unaware of another policy that could have been purchased that says for ANY reason.. I am extremely disappointed and was planning on meeting my newest great grandchild and now when I do get the vaccine and feel safe, not sure I will have the money to do the trip,
Berkshire Hathaway has been less than caring in my opinion and I would never deal with them in the future.
I see where another customer said that they canceled for the same reason and had no problem.

It took them months to return a little over $100 out of a $184 refund request on a $1400 round trip ticket in which the airline returned all but the $184. We had to submit the same documentation multiple times. We know it seems trivial but their response was awful. So at the end the keep the $85 fee which included pre pandemic payment for any reason up charge and then only return 75% of the remaining amount. In other words we barely got back the fee we paid much less the remaining cost of the cancelled ticket. Insurance like this is a scam."
