"In contrast with a number of other reviews I've read, here and elsewhere, I've just completed a transaction with IVG Stores that went like clockwork. I ordered a queen-sized futon frame and mattress, both made by Night & Day Furniture, through the www.ivgstores.com website.


I placed the order on Thursday, 3/11/10, and it was shipped via truck freight on Monday, 3/15. This shipping timeframe ("2-3 business days" quoted on the website was entirely correct, which was a pleasant surprise.

I was contacted promptly by the freight service, arranged a delivery timeframe with them, and received my new futon frame and mattress this morning. It appears that everythign was shipped directly from the manufacturer to me.

All of the items were delivered in good condition. One box was slightly damaged, and a bag of screws had broken open inside, but no screws were lost; regardless, this was certainly not the reseller's fault.

The www.ivgstores.com website wasn't laid out as clearly or concisely as I might have hoped. There were some minor errors in the listing of the item I ordered, but the final invoice was correct (description, SKUs, etc.). Communications were limited, but acceptable, and a tracking number was automatically sent once shipment had been confirmed.


In particular, I'd note that the price I paid was *excellent* - by far the best I was able to find for this futon frame and mattress anywhere I looked, whether brick & mortar or online.

The items I ordered were shipped direct, and I never interacted with customer service. Thus, I can't say much about the issues many other folks have mentioned, which generally seem to be service-related.

"Well here it is Feb 23rd, 2010 and I'm still waiting to receive ALL the parts of the bar stools that I purchased on Jan 1st 2010. Immediately after receiving the chairs, I called ivgStores customer service and requested the missing parts. I was told I would receive them in 2-3 days. I though great, no problem. Then a week later I called to say they didn't come. I was told they would check into it and get shipping information for me by the next day. Well...no one contacted me. I called a week later and was told the parts are on 2 week backorder. Of course that was another lie. I waited 3 weeks and called to talk to a supervisor. After another 20 minutes on hold I was told a supervisor would call me back. They didn't call me. All I want is the missing parts to the chairs I paid for. I've been polite and patient and have been lied to every step of the way. Do yourself a favor and buy furniture from a different company. If anything goes wrong with your order, this company will not help you. "

"I HAVE MADE A BIGGEST MISTAKE BY DEALING WITH THE WORSE EVER COMPANY WHO LEFT ME WITHOUT FURNITURE FOR XMAS NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS AND AFTER LONGEST BACKORDER WITHOUT MENTIONING DUE DATES THEY KEEP SENDING WRONG AND DAMAGED ITEMS WITH $8,000.00 WORTH OF FURNITURE IN TOTAL THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE COMPANY OR WITHIN THE COMPANY. THIS SIDE SHOULD BE CLOSED THROUGH A Better Business Bureau ASAP AS TO SAVE OTHER PEOPLE TIME MONEY AND PLEASENT SHOPPINFG EXPERIENCE WHICH WITH THESE LOOSERS WAS LOST COMPLETELY. "I ordered an "item" from their site named "Air Hockey Strikers and Pucks - Set of 2 - Bright Red Finish" for $10.25 + $3.99 S/H in mid December as a Christmas present for my children. The picture was detailed enough to show the green felt on the bottom that keeps the table from getting so scratched up.
When we opened the package on Christmas morning, we found WHITE strikers with no felt.
I have attempted to resolve this with IVGStores on several ocassions now and am now resorting to a BBB claim and a dispute claim on my credit card since they hung up on me this morning.

I STRONGLY discourage anyone from purchasing ANYTHING from this business.

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS STORE!

As the other reviews state, the pictures do not accurately portray the product. And Try getting some help from customer service.

On 12-18-09 I ordered a "Slipp-Nott" system for a basketball team. I received just the replacement sheets on 12-29-09. I called immediately and spoke with a customer service rep. I was told that I would receive an email with an answer.
By 1-5-10, I had received nothing.

I again called. I was told that they would ship it (after being on hold for 20 minutes) on Wed. I would receive it on Monday. It's a gift for the team and they have a tournament on Saturday. I told them I needed it by Friday. After being on hold for only 15 minutes this time, I was told this was impossible. I asked why it couldn't be shipped 2nd day air. 15 minutes on hold again, I was told NO.

I told the rep to cancel my order and I wanted a refund. I'm now waiting for my return instructions so my refund can be processed. After reading one of the other reviews, I expect to sit on the phone for a lot longer before this situation is concluded.

I Think I'll copy this review and forward it to the Better Business Bureau if they don't satisify my request immediately.

"Terrible experience! I ordered on September 15th. The money cleared my account weeks ago. It's now October 7th and I've heard nothing from IVG. On thier website it says my order is "pending". When I call their customer service all I get is hold music. "

"I had an awful shopping experience with IVG Stores. Bought a patio set from their site "Patiofurniturestation.com", and it was completely unstable. A return would have cost a 30 percent restocking fee, plus of course shipping both ways, so a return wouldn't have made any sense. The customer service representative didn't care at all when I called. I would never buy from this store again."

"I ordered a nice-looking Bulova Teal Watch from ivgstores.com on April 25, 2009. Unfortunately, they shipped it to Florida and I'm in CT. When I finally received it, the watch didn't match the picture on the website - it was actually navy blue and not teal. So I called them and their website does not depict the correct color watch (and it's still not correct as I write this on June 22). They said it was ok to ship it back for a full refund. So it was picked up by UPS on May 15 and arrived in their warehouse the next day. I literally called ten times requesting that they refund my order. Excuses galore: the refund wasn't submitted, their system only refunds orders on Fridays, the refund processing agent is out of office, etc. In sum, do not buy from this store. "
