“The customer was obviously unhappy, which is not the result we strive for.
We substituted for a less expensive coil but the furnace was a more expensive unit that we did not charge for.
We were notified by e-mail that the furnace was damaged during delivery and at the request of the customer we replaced it with a new furnace, we had offered a $150 credit that was rejected. Most orders within a 30 mile radius of our warehouse are delivered via Courier Service rather than LTL trucking in order to expedite delivery. We contacted the driver and he informed us that at the request of the customer he took the unit down to the basement, going beyond the standard first threshold delivery. The Courier also assisted the customer in removing the original damaged furnace from the basement.
We take issues very seriously and thankfully this is not the norm.”
