"Short version: I ordered a Mitsubishi mini-split on Friday at a great price, got free expedited (3-day) shipping to Southern California. I order more stuff (installation kit, back, line cover) Monday, it all showed up in a single shipment Wednesday (three days after the original order).

Details: I was prepared to pay a bit more for a reseller with good ratings and reviews, after seeing the problems and poor service from some. I was about to place an order with one highly rated reseller when I came upon younits.com. The same unit was $100 cheaper than I was about to pay, and unlike the other reseller it was tax free, saving about $260 overall—about 15%.

There was a glitch with the website—although I could place other units and products in my cart, the particular unit I was after caused a glitch ("Something bad happened"—seriously). Not a big deal, I kind of wanted to order by phone and see what they were like. Alan was great—we had a laugh over the website error message, and he said he'd see that it gets fixed. He said I'd receive the unit in three days, no tax—I was happy. I said I'd call back on Monday after I had time to figure out what else I needed, and I asked about the lack of line set covers on the website. He said they were switching to Mitsubishi ("Line Hide") covers and they didn't have the website updated, but he could discuss it with me when I called back, and send me pictures.

I researched over the weekend, and already knew what I wanted when I called back on Monday. I had also found a really good price on a competitor's site, and he matched. I ordered an installation kit (line set, etc.), the covers, and a wall bracket. On Tuesday Alan called me back—his warehouse guys told him they could get the order to me sooner if we went with a different bracket. He said it was a more expensive bracket, but he would eat the cost difference. He told me the model, I checked, and he was right—it was clearly a superior bracket (a bit higher weight rating, but more importantly the arms were three inches longer allow recommended air intake clearing, and overall a stronger design). He'd already given me a great matching price on the other popular bracket, so I got a great deal here, and received the second order along with the unit on Wednesday. All was as advertised.

Alan was really a pleasure to work with, and I don't know how this could have gone any better. I recommend these guys highly."

"I would recommend that you stay away from this company. I ordered a product a week ago (Friday). The item did not ship out until wednesday, according to George the CSR. Yesterday, he assured me that he would be sending my the shipping info via email. I called back 3 hours later because I did not receive anything. I left a message and a followup email, asking him to either email me or provide the tracking info, so I know where it is and when it was shipped out. Although, he claims that it was shipped out Wednesday, I have a hard time believing it as their website says the order is still processing and there is "no tracking available". I have also called several times this morning and left a message and nobody has returned my call. I am dumbfounded that a company can operate at such a poor level of service. After a certain point, it becomes obvious that the company and it's reps are blatantly ignoring customers. Take my advice and find somewhere local or other website to purchase your products from."

"All the products were great as advertised. However, the box with the A/C outdoor unit support bracket, arrived taped up and inside the metal pieces had chips exposing bare metal. Now, I have to look into how to protect these spots from rusting!

I assume the damage happened at the warehouse since the entire order was palletized with shrink-wrap. Warehouse staff man-handled the box!

I was told the delivery service was supposed call to advise when they would drop off the order.

I have to edit this review, after speaking with my wife, she signed for the shipment but they called the house when they arrived at the house. I'd prefer to have the delivery scheduled so I could be home to inspect it. My wife does not know much about A/C units and this was a big pallet.

If I get a replacement bracket, I'll be very satisfied with the customer service at Younits.com!

*An update (3/16/14): upon learning about my dilemma with the outdoor unit bracket, Paul of Younits.com contacted me promptly to advise they'll be sending me a replacement by UPS. Honestly, I was taken with that kind of Customer Service!
