"I rarely have time to provide feedback - as I am a small business owner - putting in 15 hour days. But I value feedback. Here is some feedback on my experience with Brett of X-10:
I made my purchase 5 years ago but had not even opened the packages of the X-10 components until this week - 12/2007!!! (Again - too busy with other things.) I read the information thoroughly and unfortunately was unable to get the equipment to perform. Several exchanges and a phone call with Jenn (who was very nice and attempted to help) unfortunately did not bring the desired results.
She used good judgment and forwarded the issue to Brett. Brett spent quite a bit of time with me on the phone as we went through a variety of settings tests, equipment hookup variations, problem identification, etc. The equipment is now working.
Brett was thorough, knowledgeable, polite and professional. And he was effective. That is one of two key points. The other key point is that I was well out of warranty - and despite that fact, I was assisted. X-10 - could have simply told me to go away - as would have been the case with most others. Not the case here. Clearly exceptional performance and customer service - and America-based - no language barriers here!

"I purchased PR511 flood light and it worked fine for a while. Then it decided not to turn off so I called X10 and talked to Jenn about the problem. Jenn sent me an Email with the instructions for resetting it and it is working fine now.

I can't say enough about the courtesy and politeness that Jenn showed on the phone. I just wish I could get half the service from other companys.

Let's just keep Jenn around, OK? She is great.

I have used X10 products for many years and had a lot of enjoyment from the use of them. Price wise you just can't find anything else that will compare.

"I used the order number, I didn't find the invoice number.

Paulette Coleman has worked with me all day just to make sure that I get the "Right" stuff to put my system together. I can't say enough great things about her. She has been so very patient with all my questions, changes and "add-ons" to create this system. She is just GREAT. I would just like to drop an email to inform you of how much I appreciated the outstanding assistance I rec'd tonight (23-Nov-07 1am EST) from CECE (Washington State). I had a couple of issues while trying to place an order and didn't have time to get frustrated as CECE was able to assist via the Live Chat very expeditiously. This was most likely the best assistance I've had in any dealings through my lifetime. Though this may seem hard to believe, but as a consumer where most companies average a 9 to 5pm office hours, this was over the internet at 1am EST at MY convenience (at first not in person)! Amazing..Someone (Live) was there to assist...awesome, outstanding and very professional! CECE most likely saved an order (though not a large one) due to 1st issue where I couldn't get my sales tax included (being in Canada and wanting to know my total), CECE supplied me the info. via live chat, then answered my timeline question (5-7 business days) and added info. stating it was being shipped from Mississauga only 3hrs from where I live in Windsor, Ont. Canada...Then your system wouldn't accept my legit Credit Card exp. date/yr. giving me a red "X"??? Then once again CECE saved me the hassle of continuing by just taking my order over the phone via the phone # CECE supplied...And lo and behold I was talking to a real person (CECE)...and it was over within minutes...a very professional experience from a consumer viewpoint! A credit to X10 and the employees you have standing by to assist! I hope you don't mind the long email...I just felt like I had to express my gratitude as I've had some bad experiences in my time and this particular experience stood out a mile and should be recognized I'm sure many people don't take the time to do so...As I am a Quality Assurance Manager/Quality Supervisor in the Automotive industry..this employee is deserving of performing their duty as I would expect in my Quality field..."QUALITY"! Good job CECE! Thanks again for your expeditious assistance on my order.
