"Over the years I have ordered several X10 cameras, 3 Vanguard cameras and a Sentinel Camera from X10. I have always had excellent results until this: On 1/22/08 I ordered 3 wide
angle X10 cameras for $199.99 and was pleased to see their arrival only 3 days later. However the picture quality of all 3 cameras was poor being out-of-focus, colors that smear together and constant flickering. And I tried them all in
several locations and powered them from different outlets. I was given authorization to return the 3 cameras and about 1 week later received 1 camera with exactly the same problem. The single camera had the same date code label as the original 3. I don't understand how ONE bad camera is supposed to replace the THREE cameras I paid for. With my emails regarding these problems I supplied X10 with .wmv movie files showing the unacceptable pictures both the original three and the more recent single camera produced. In the videos I compared them with X10 cameras displays that I have used for years and obviously have usable pictures as compared to the latest 4 cams. I have emailed and called X10 regarding this problem but they don't answer the emails, only acknowledge the problem on the phone (but do nothing), have made no comments on the comparison videos and have left me holding ONE bad camera for the price of 3 PLUS my return postage on the original 3 cams. I find this to be EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE and being content to supply ONE bad camera for the price of THREE borders on thievery.

"I did not understand why some modules worked and some did not. I called in and Leeanne was a great help & she helped me to understand what was wrong so much so I corrected the problem. I am now even more impressed with x10 and I was very happy before. Also I have made several orders since I discovered x10.com and the same day shipping is outstanding. Keep up the great work."

"I ORDERED 3 SENTINAL CAMERAS THIS MONTH ALL OF WITCH WILL NOT TILT UP TO OR PAST THE LEVEL POSITION. WHEN YOU USE THE ZOOM FEATURE IT ZOOMS RIGHT TOWARDS THE GROUND MAKES A LOT OF SENSE? "X10 products are terrific and their customer support is responsive and very helpful.

I use ActiveHome Automation Module(as easily programmed via my PC) to control outside and inside lights throughout my house. I also use the X10 camaras.

Most recently, I ordered an X10 switch to replace a faulty switch. A rare glitch. After connecting the new switch it did not work properly with my Automation Module. It turns out that a new feature on their recently manufactured switches (special dimmer feature) required a different configuration when programming these switches. Poor marks to X10 for documentation, however, high marks to the customer service person (Jean) who quickly diagnosed the problem and helped me fix it.

X10 products are generally easy to use and are a good value. Despite the hiccup here I will continue to use them and recommend them.

"I had newer units which were not installed in the X10's memory. I had a little trouble transfering codes from olds remotes to X10. Called the Wirless Technologies 800 Nr and talked to a tech-rep that was located in the U.S. and easy to understand. Got the problems resolved and now very happy. "

"We ordered a three camera system from X-10. We have never been able to make this system work. I worked with several of X-10 technicians with no results over a period of two months. I became so agrivated with the system that I left it set for a few months without trying to make it work. I assigned an employee to work on this system and have spent days trying to find out what is wrong. Every time we talk to a tech 1 or a tech 2 we get different answers on programing the system. They said we had a bad commander II. We sent it back and another one was sent to us. We are encountering the same problems again. At this point I wish we could return this system or get a system that works. Our company has spent days and weeks of labor hours to make this system work. What can your company do for us to resolve this problem?
