"We purchased an antique-look bathroom sink faucet that gave us many years of service. When its stems began requiring too frequent replacement we decided to replace the whole faucet. We purchased what looked like an identical faucet but when it arrived, the stems were much larger than it's predecessor and it wouldn't fit our antique soft stone sink top. So when I shared my story with customer service, they initiated a search through their stock to find a faucet with specs similar to our old one. A few days after my call, I received an email with a link to an appropriate faucet. It fits!! I am very appreciative of the hours of searching that their customer service staff saved me. "The fittings look right, the pipe is the right size, they just will not connect.
The old fittings have a conical connector from the water supply line that fits inside the intake of the back of the valve.
The new fitting doesn't have the same connection. The water line and the valve don't fit together.
It has been a great disappointment, I can't replace the stoppers of my old valve, I can't replace the valve and I can't connect a new valve to the hand held shower head I had already replaced. Nothing will fit together, each connection of your "vintage claw-foot valve" is completely different from the antique valve I am replacing."
"Was delivered in a timely manner. There was great communication prior to delivery to ensure where to deliver product. The sink is absolutely beautiful! The only recommendation is that I wish they had told me it needed a dream because I would have ordered that. At the very least when you go to check out it should have a pop-up reminding you that there's no drain included. But all in all a great experience and I cannot wait for it to be installed!!
