"I bought a cup a couple of months ago. The delivery was fast even if it had to come all the way from China to London during Covid period. I received the cup but unfortunately it was broken. I contacted the customer service, and they were really nice and welcoming. I discussed this issue with them, and they immediately sent me another cup. The cup arrived in perfect conditions.
I really love my cup; I’m using it every day and I want to buy more. The cup is handmade, with high quality clay and beautiful design - definitely worth it.

"Not knowing whether the Chinese wedding teapot with four gaiwans will look as good as the picture on the website and whether the packaging will survive the shipping, I bought one set to test it out. As anticipated, I waited a few weeks for it. When the set arrived, I opened the package. The tea set is beautiful and thank goodness, no broken pieces! Call me superstitious, breakage is not something I like to associate with the wedding. The bright red color is good for a Chinese wedding tea ceremony and the tea set is well packed. I like it so much I bought another set for my future in-laws, the bride’s parents, for their keepsake. I am very happy with both sets and I think the price is reasonable. MY in San Jose, CA"

"The website was easy and user friendly for me. I ordered two cups that came in a set. It was a couple of days before anything happened or emails were sent. I emailed them over the fact and they replied promptly saying the tracking info can take a couple of days to be sent out. The reply was direct and provided all the info I desired. The shipping took a couple of weeks to arrive at my house and that is expected with shipping from china to the US. When it arrived one of the cups was broken in three pieces but the other was not. The packaging was extensive as the outside box has a lining of Styrofoam and each cup was bubble wrapped separately. The attention to detail was for each cup to arrive safely and whole. I contacted the company about the broken cup and they replied within the day. They then sent a tracking number for the replacement cup the next day. 10/10 would order from this company again. The products and service are both of high quality. "

"Where to begin...

First, my order took over month to arrive. When I opened to the package, I noticed that a lot of the ceramic pieces had shattered during transit. Not only that, but certain items were just left out (e.g. sending only 1 quantity of multiple items).

The worst offense was a bait-and-switch on items in a complete tea set. They sent a completely different tea tray with drain than the photo online, and it didn't match the set at all.

When I contacted the merchant, they told me to ship the package back at my cost (well over $100 USD for service back to China) and refused to provide any other resolutions.

Avoid this scam site at all costs, not only are their products low quality, they are disingenuous and will not offer any customer service on the items that you order, even if it's entirely their fault."

"I ordered from this site without looking at any reviews at all and only after placing my order I decided to look what other's people experience was. I didn't really liked what people wrote about umi tea sets so I instantly regreted my order.
Fast forward to today, the order took quite long to arrive but it's here and in mint condition. Everything was well packed with bubble wrap and this seethrough plastic. There was also white cork on every wall of the box."

"I ordered a tea set sometime in December and communicated with the seller about the shipment status because there was no progress on the order. I was informed that they will ship it on January 4 after the holidays. I waited for couple of more days for the tracking information but didn't received any. I feel something was not right so I did file a dispute so I can be refunded. As soon as the dispute was filed, Umiteasets connected with me informing that they already shipped. I said they can cancel the shipment but they cant anymore. I told them I will pay as soon as I get my order but they told me I can have it for free if I remove the dispute because it will be bad in their record. Am glad my Paypal dispute is still active o date.

Well as expected a month has passed and i didn't get the tea set sent on January 4. I am NOT really hoping to get the free tea set but it is UNACCEPTABLE to scam people.

Please beware of this company. They will make sure you will order and offer discounts but wont give what you pay for.

The only reason I haven’t given this 5 stars is that I had no idea that we would incur a customs charge of 50% of the value of the item. If you are ordering from the U.K., then do check the import charge for the item as it is despatched from China."
