"I purchased a complete set of tubes for my amp which has 2, 12ax7’s, and 2, el34’s. Installed them and had nothing but problems. The el34’s were not matched correctly and the 12ax7’s were defective nothing but noise that would cut in and out of amp. I paid all of their little extra fees on getting low noise and matched sets, but they were nowhere close to what I was expecting from a tube distributor. I contacted them about this problem and felt like they didn’t care, just said “return them”. Which I had to pay the return shipping cost. When I got my refund it was only partial. Now they do have a %20 restocking fee, but the tubes were defective!! So that should have been waived. Well now I understand why I received the defective tubes in the first place. They were probably someone else’s return that was put back on the shelf. NICE SCAM GUYS!! All I Can say is be cautious of these guys. There are a lot of good reviews on this business but don’t be fooled like I was. "

"I bought a set of tubes from them for my CJ pre-amp. I paid extra for them to test the tubes for low noise. I received the tubes and proceeded to install them. I turned the unit on, and played some music. It sounded good for about 1 minute when suddenly the left channel began to hiss and pop. By the time I turned the unit off, it was damaged. I put the old tubes back, and the unit is now making a pumping noise and does not work properly. I called their phone number and I kept getting a message machine. I left my invoice number with a message and they have ignored my messages. I will try to call them one more time, and if they do not answer the phone, I will be filing a claim with PayPal. I may also take them to claims court to pay for the repairs to my damaged CJ pre-amp. To say I am dissatisfied would be an understatement. "
"These guys are great, I have always gotten great tubes from them at reasonable prices, but what prompted me to write this review is the amazing customer service I have gotten from them in dealing with a shipping matter, I ordered some tubes from the and Fed-Ex lost the package, they immediately mailed out replacements no questions asked. "In August, 2012 I order over $350. in tubes for my two jukeboxes. This is the first time I ordered from Tube Depot. When I received the order, I tested all of the tubes on my tester. I found that more than half were either weak or not registering at all. I sent an email to Tube Depot notifying them of the issue. They referred me to their technical person. Their technical person swore that all tubes were pre tested and that my tester was not calibrated. I tested other tubes that I received from another online supplier (The Tube Store) and found all to be fine. I sent my entire order back to Tube Depot and received a note back indicating that all tested strong and asked if I wanted them sent back to me, or a refund minus a 20% restocking fee. I was not surprised that the tubes that they were sending back to me would be fine, because this time I am sure that they tested and replaced the weak tubes. Because of their poor quality control, I requested that they credit my account without the penalty of a 20% restocking fee. Emails went back and forth to my finally going to American Express to handle the dispute. Tube Depot called me to ask if I wanted the credit (again minus the 20% restocking fee) and letting me know that an Amex inquiry would take months. The final outcome was that Tube Depot still has not responded to AMEX, and AMEX gave me FULL CREDIT to my account. AMEX also felt that 20% was outrageous. I will never order any more from Tube Depot, since they do not test every tube. I have found that the other supplier (The Tube Store) was extremely credible, competitively priced and all their tubes tested with a strong signal."
